My wife and I drove in from Orange County to buy a truck for our son, who used to live in Phoenix but now lives in Durango, CO. !st Marine was the second place we came to. Mir took care of us. I'm very skeptical of used car salesmen. Who isn't? His office is in Apache Junction, and not in a great part of town, in my opinion. It's well off the beat and track, a good 10 minutes from the freeway. He had a 4WD Ram truck that we were intersested in. For the price, it was in good shape. Looked good inside and out. There were a few things about it that needed fixing. The light at the rear license plate was not seated properly and needed securing. Same for the electrical panel on the driver's side armrest. Rolling up the power windows made it come out of it's seating. Still, minor issues. We drove it and it seemed good. We consulted with both our sons, who know cars better than us. Mir would not negotiate the price. He let us walk the first time in. We left and discussed it, consulted more with our sons. One thing that bothered us was that Mir would not consent to us taking it to a shop to have it checked out. We were suspicious of that. Still, after consulting, discussing, and praying about it, we decided to pull the trigger and purchase it. Mir does seem like a nice man. He threw in a 3 month, 3000K mile powertrain warranty as part of the deal. I don't know if it's worth anything, as we have not had to use it. When we were going through the purchasing process, it was bright outside and we wore our sunglasses. After we bought the truck, we later noticed that one of the doors was a slightly different shade. It had been repainted. This was not something Mir told us about. When we called him later, he told us that it had some kind of minor damage. He was not forthcoming, which is what you'd expect from a used car salesman, right? Still, disappointing to me. Well, that was over a month ago. Our son is now in possession of the truck and loves it. There do not seem to be any major issues. That is relieving. Overall, I give our experience three stars. read more

I test drove a low mileage Cadillac and noticed the check engine light flicker on and off again. I menymtioned it and the salesman Chris hooked it up for a computer check. said it was a minor misfire and they would have it checked out and mechanic fix it. i agreed to buy and picked it up the next day after having new plugs coils and wiring. drove it for less than a day and it was on again. called chris and was told " the computer just needs to recalibrate. don't worry." now looking at $1900 to $3600+ in repairs. I emailed them constantly for days with no responses, so I phoned them, they said they had received my emails and responded - yeah right, so where were the responses? also why not a phone call then? they said to bring the car in and we shall fix these issues. I brought it in on Sunday so that I could pick it up on Monday so I could get to work, No phone calls that it was ready - once again that was my responsibility. Drove over with the wife, the horn was fixed the window or noise wasn't - Told to leave it and let them try again, in a nutshell, I wasted three PTO days off from work, they had the car for 5 days, the noise was the bearings it cost me $150.00 to pay towards the safety repair job, Now it running with no noise, horn OK, still no back window, I was told to pay for that repair. The experience with them was great until the car was mine, keep saying sorry doesn't cut it, repair and contacting the customer would have been the professional way to go. Don't be fooled by the fake smiles, fake handshake, fake worthless so-called 90-day warranty - it was worthless, I am 5 days without a car, took 3 PTO days off, no emails, no phone calls, no help, and out of pocket $150.00 cash. I was told we didn't have to do these repairs and they didn't like my attitude, attitude is only an attitude when it doesn't meet with their requirements and their likes, pay the money, or basically F OFF. I just completed my experience here. I wanted to wait to write a review until after I had the vehicle fully inspected, and financing and registration were all finished. I think these guys were great!! I knew I was running a risk not getting the vehicle inspected by a mechanic BEFORE buying it; I'd looked it over myself and I know some stuff (I've built a couple engines) but not enough to say if there's nothing wrong with a vehicle. I bought it tires right away because the ones on it showed signs of heavy deterioration. The 3-hour inspection done by my trusted mechanic showed only cosmetic flaws that I'd already seen, a couple fluids that needed changing, and a window regulator that needed repairing which I knew once I test drove it. It's missing a part on the driver's side seat but Mir was totally up front about that and showed me where he had it on order. They gave me a good deal on my trade, and I felt they gave me this vehicle for a good price - the price allowed me to get the tires, window regulator, and fluid services and still come in just barely below market value. I'm super happy! Ultimately, while dealers should be fair and transparent about any conditions/repairs regarding their vehicles, it's the buyer's responsibility to have a vehicle looked over before purchasing. If the dealer refuses that, then I'd walk, but I doubt they would have denied me the chance to have it inspected because they would have benefited, too. I'm sorry others had poor reviews about this place because ultimately, I had a great experience here! Financing was easy, the paperwork was fast, they were patient with me when I made a mistake with the paperwork, and they were friendly and welcoming through the whole process. There was nothing about the entire vehicle or process that showed any discrepancy or error. I'd definitely recommend them, and took several of their cards. I purchased a 2008 former Border Patrol Tahoe from 1st auto and Marine in January. While test driving it and checking it out I questioned noise in the front end so I talked to Mir and we drove it together. Mir gave me a 2015 Buick to drive and had his mechanic do extensive work on the front end 4WD. I drove the tahoe back to Michigan and after about 5000 miles broke two motor mounts. The warranty company told me this was not covered so I talked to Mir. He called ASC warranty co. and within a day the repairs were approved. The Motor mounts were replaced and the warranty paid $469.90 for the repairs. My advice to anyone purchasing a used vehicle is, you must protect yourself. Have any vehicle checked out before you purchase it. Used car dealers will not know the history on every car they sell.
