I might be a little biased since teal is one of my favorite colors--but the way Boris uses it here is just perfect. Boris' use of teal to outline the zombie's hair and body creates a striking contrast against the more subdued tones of the piece. This teal is rich yet ethereal, giving the figure an almost otherworldly presence--like a spectral being suspended between life and death. It feels like the subject exists in both worlds at once, capturing that perfect eerie beauty that defines this genre of art. Equally impressive is the background. The black-and-white contrast feels both simple and complex at once, complementing the figure perfectly.
