SCAM/ RUDE SALES PERSON This is a scam don't buy. They asked you to pay first to later send you the link to upload your file or image. What kind of business is this ? So they charge you and then tell you that you made a mistake and you need to upload more files just to charge you more. On top of that, When I called a rude older man answered and told me " do me a favor and read the website all the questions you have are there " when the website itself states that you need to call if you want a customized banner, incredibly rude and cynical. Is it too much work to answer the questions while being on the phone ? What kind of sales person is this or kind of business does not want to sell ? I decided to go with other printing company. I've been working with this company for over 15 years and ordered thousands of $$ from them. My recent interaction with them was HORRIBLE. I sent my THREE COLOR artwork (orange, light blue & black) & got the proof back which I approved. When I got the banners, the black looked great but the orange was RED, & the light blue was DARK BLUE, completly disappearing into the black. Whoever printed them should have noticed it and contacted me or REPRINTED them. But they shipped them anyway. I emailed them and they told me I had 24 hours to send them back. I emailed again saying I had just come down w/ COVID and need a little more time to arrange for help. this is their response and I quote: "That is not going to work. The banners must be sent back to us by tomorrow. Have someone else help you and send the banners back to us now. If the banners are not sent back by 12 noon, Tuesday 04/23/24, we'll refuse to accept them." Seriously? each time I emailed I asked for the owner to call me to discuss how to make it right. I just want banners that match my proof. I got NO calls from anyone, so today I called and spoke to someone with a very THICK accent who literally started screaming at me. Flabbergasted, I hung up. Have been ordering my real estate banners from 1daybanner.com for over 10 years and very pleased with the quality and prices. Some tips I'd like to pass along: 1. Read their "art specifications" and follow the instructions to avoid any delays or cancellations to your order. 2. Your design needs to be print ready in actual size and the acceptable formats (jpg, pdf etc). So, if your banner size is to be 2ft x 6ft, the design needs to be 24 in x 72 in. Otherwise, if that is not done correctly, your order most likely will be cancelled. They will not redesign it, as they are a printing company - not a design company. 3. They are fast to ship out but have a cut-off time based on when they received the order, or when you approved the proof, whichever is later. They are closed Saturday and Sunday and major holidays and located in California. 4. Read their shipping policy instructions. Most of the reviews I'm reading that are not 5-star seems to be that the above was not done and they called in. Although there is a phone number, this business is really an online business and anyone ordering should have basic knowledge of creating and uploading designs. Everything is in fact on their website. All you have to do is read it and follow the instructions. And if you have any questions, you can email them, and they do respond fairly quickly and even provide links that can help you with your questions. And more often than not, they have upgraded my shipping for free. I ordered a one-time use banner for a Thursday event. My order was received by them on a Monday at 9:46 am, well ahead of their 12 noon PST promise to ship by the end of the next business day. The order did not ship until Wednesday at 5:33 pm and did not arrive until Friday at 4:27 pm. If they had shipped on Tuesday as promised, with 1-2 day delivery it would have arrived in time. Now they are harassing and threatening me with legal action for disputing the purchase amount with my credit card company. The worst. Something that should be so simple they make so difficult. I initially provided a PNG file at 3465x3465. Me thinking that file size is more than enough to work with. I asked for a black background. Rude older man calls and says file will not work. So I assume the problem is the PNG or no background. I then send the file as a JPG with the black background. Then calls again stating that file will not work and the photo needs to be the same size as the banner size I ordered. Reiterating they are not a design company. When you upload an image to get printed I'm sure you are able to adjust so that the height/width of your photo will work with the size banner you ordered. This to me is someone that does not want to take the time to do so and wants everything ready for them to be able to just click a print button. Laziness and no customer service whatsoever. I've ordered shirts and hats with this same logo with no issues with other online retailers. Don't waste your time with this company. He makes you think you don't know what you're talking about or what you're trying to do. Rather than work with you to get it right they'd rather refuse your business. I needed this banner from "1 day banner" in 3 days. I live about 10 miles, but he said it would be faster to ship it...? Ok. A day went by and I still didn't receive my proof. I called him and explained I needed this by Friday so we set it up for me to PICK UP on Friday even though I paid for shipping. When I went to pick it up, he scolded me for not having the credit card used to pay. The little league payed for the banner and I was the contact for the order. I'm a 35 year old women, I don't need to be scolded for something like that as if I were a child. We ordered a couple of time sensitive banners from 1daybanner.com and paid 74.95 for 1 day shipping, on the website they have the logos for USPS, FEDEX and UPS, with all the problems with the postal service and the price paid for expedited delivery, I assumed they would have shipped using anything but USPS. They chose the cheapest option (USPS, aprox. $55 for 1 day) to make a couple extra dollars on the shipping. When I called to discuss this with them, the individual I spoke with was very aggressive and dismissive of my concerns, continued to talk over me and offered no solutions and told us "it's not our problem, we did our job and it's your problem now" before hanging up on us. Price was reasonable, other online companies are cheaper, but he was local and could got it done in a day or so. Ordered two 4x8 banners I designed before to match our company logo and style. The colors on the banner he printed came out completely different. Where was supposed to be grey came out turquoise and the blues had too much green in it. I brought it up to the main guy and he blamed my files. Even though we have used the same colors and files for many other styles of prints and have never seen this much variation before. Instead of apologizing that I didn't get my banner until 7 days after paying almost $20 for 3-day shipping, he argued with me that: 1) before ordering I need to call the company to check on their policies for shipping 2) "we have posted on our website in large writing on our shipping methods" I honestly don't care what anyone says, when you pay for 3-day shipping , besides the fact that UPS does deliver on the weekends in a large part of the US, it doesn't seem reasonable that the 3-days would start the day after shipping? I was excited to order a second banner from 1daybanner as our first experience was seamless! WOW, what happened? I ordered the MOST basic banner-black background, red block letters with an arrow on the bottom. I designed it on their site and we did not add a design or logo of any kind. A few hours later we received a proof and they suggested I add a white ring around the red as it would make it much easier to read. Great idea, we approve. A few days later my banner arrives. I open it and it is a navy blue banner with bright pink letters. I send an email and as for the correct banner. The response I get was you can keep it and get a $10 refund OR return it but we WONT BE ABLE TO REPRINT IT FOR YOU. I ask why? They say it is an issue with the print and it could happen again. WTH???? You sent ME a proof, the proof was correct, why can't you reprint it. I tell them how sad we are since we had such a good experience. We get no apology just a return label. The owner called me to complain to me about my art file (Ive been a graphic designer for 15 years) he said I needed to resend him another file and had the worst tone with me over the phone. We hung up, I thought about it for a bit and decided to cancel my order. I called him back and said I would like to cancel, he was very short with me and said, "send me an email" and hung up. I sent him the email to cancel the order and received a response that he needed to charge me 25% of my original order. Apparently he has some "legal" that states if a job is cancelled, then he can keep 25%....Literally all he did was open my file and call to berate me over the phone, seriously?! I'm surprised to see the negative reviews. I've had banners made by them more than once and its always great work at a great price and obviously with a very fast turn around. Granted, that was using my own artwork/design as a single jpeg at either 150 or 300 dpi. Also I opt to pick them up in person as I live not TOO far from them. I'd rather make a 30-45 min drive to get it in-hand than risk or wait for "snail mail". Biggest hiccup I ever had was getting my artwork converted from RBG to CMYK the first time. It was my first time getting something printed (full color) and learning of the differences between the two processes. But by the time I had my next banner made, there were (and still are) several free sites that will convert your image from RGB to CMYK in a few seconds which is awesome. Never had any issues or changes needed to the proofs they sent me either. I've recommended them to several friends of mine and as far as I know their jobs were done w/o a hitch too. Their prices are WAY cheaper than competitors, let alone the larger nationwide chains, ESPECIALLY for a one or two day turn around. read more

I have ordered many marketing items from Vistaprint for years and there is another company called overnightprint.com where l could get postcards and flyers very quick but they don't do banners. This time l needed a banner done quick, so this company came up on my Google search. I submitted my order on Monday thinking l should get it by Wednesday the latest. Then l got a call from a gentleman telling me that l should have read the shipping terms, and should not expect it would arrive before Friday. That's definitely not a ONE DAY banner service. However, he promised that he would rush and get my order out. I received my banner on Thursday. It is in excellent quality. The same kind of quality you get from Vistaprint. With the speed of delivery service, the cost is much lower than Vistaprint. I will use them again. read more

I went to 1day banner today on 4/6/21 and the door was chained closed so that you could barely open it. The older man from inside the business talked to me through the crack in the door and said " What do you need" after explaining I needed help with printing a banner. He insisted I need to make the design on his website I already had made. I explained I had the vector file with the design I wanted and he kept speaking over me and talking down to me as if I was a child. Finally, another customer walked in and helped me with advice and banner size. While I am talking to the customer who felt sorry for me after hearing the owner talking down to me: the owner decided to walked over again and insulted me by saying " we are busy and do not have time for this" I was not even speaking to the owner. We submitted design on a Saturday evening when their website happened to be experiencing some problems. Despite the unforeseen difficulties, our banner was completed in a few days, much to our satisfaction. Since we live locally, we chose to pick it up in person. The work was quite nice, our design was printed perfectly and the price was excellent (and the daughter loved it)! WORST COMPANY EVER! PEOPLE KEEP AWAY FROM THIS WRETCHED BUSINESS (if you even call it a business) We needed a banner printed for our company sooner rather than later. After sending them the vector file they sent us back 2 proofs that were completely off in every sense of design. After we did our own design using that same vector file, we sent them the jpeg for them to do exactly that on a banner. Sure enough, the third proof we received was wrong! We called and asked to speak to the manager, not only was he rude, didn't want to take responsibility for their own screw up, but him and his assistant are as competent as a crushed rock. I can't say this enough, they are incompetent! Terrible customer service, terrible business, terrible people. After a long phone call they returned our money with 15% deducted. Even though they didn't even process our order. They barely made it through the proof. How are they still in business? Oh yeah, they take people's 15% from their orders when they realize this place sucks. I'm sure the first review here that gave them 5 stars is probably the owner. I wish I could do no stars. Maybe a half star for website ease. I have honestly never been treated so poorly over the phone, ever. My graphic designer accidently designed the banner to be 3' x 10', when I selected a 5' x 10' banner online. I was called, and immediately chastized for "not reading the directions", and asked "can't you read directions", when it was a simple mistake. I asked why the man was so angry with a paying customer when I can simply ask my designer to fix the problem and his response was "go somewhere else". When I asked to speak to his supervisor he said "what's your point, no, you can talk to me, go somewhere else if you don't like my company". I do large events all the time in Washington, DC, and I can say in dealing with thousands of vendors, I have never been treated so poorly. This isn't just "bad customer service". I was shunned.
