Friendly Service - Cashier and Owner were very friendly Good Food - Food was delicious Good Value - You get a lot of food Apparently this place has been around for several years and we are now just discovering it. I work down the street from this place, but it never showed up on Yelp for me, so hopefully this post gets more attention. Lots of options for vegetarians and some for gluten-free eaters too. My friend ordered an orange chicken bowl, which looked really good. I asked for the same thing, but to substitute it with Tofu. It wasn't on the menu, but they honored my request. It was really good! It's hard to find a lot of good Tofu dishes, so if you are Tofu eater like myself, then you should give this place a try.

The food at this small little restaurant was delicious! I had garlic noodles with beef filet. The noodles were slightly chewy and slightly garlicky. The beef filet was so tender! Others in our party got fried rice with bulgogi beef and fried rice with beef filet. You can't go wrong with the garlic noodles or fried rice. I will say, however, if choosing between bulgogi beef and filet, I think the filet is the way to go! They also offer boba drinks. Service was friendly. Clean and well kept. Inside seating is limited.

Nice little mom and pop boba shop that offers great food! I ordered the orange chicken with garlic noodles. My vegan friend wanted to try the orange chicken sauce on top of the tofu, and the owner was more than happy to accomodate his request. He actually chatted with us for a while and told us about the history of the restaurant, which opened during the height of Covid. I will be back!

I got the garlic noodles with sliced beef. It was good! It's a little on the greasy side cause of the beef but still good! The service was very good, very nice and friendly. Would recommend for garlic noodle lovers!

What a gem! We found 194 Eatery through the Yelps when we needed a bite to eat before a matinee show at the La Mirada Performing Arts Center, and what a find it was! Now, it's tradition to stop by whenever we have a show in the area. We've had the beef bulgogi, pad see ew, garlic noodles with shrimp, and orange chicken. The food here is surprisingly solid! For a small store that serves food in plastic to-go containers, the flavours are pretty good! We haven't tried their drinks yet, though. Staff is super friendly, and the owners are cute. We love supporting small, family, and local businesses, and this place checks all the boxes! It's run by a couple, and the husband is the chef. We couldn't figure out why it was called 194 Eatery, but after some conversation with the nice lady, we learned that this number was chosen because it was her husband's weight. That's a fun fact if I've ever heard one! 194 Eatery is located in a small shopping area with a small parking lot. There are a few seats inside, and we've only seen it fill up once. Great prices for decent portions!

This place is such a cute mom and pop spot. Kpop was playing on the speakers and there was plenty of seating. My friend and I came here after work and we ordered the orange chicken with rice, cheesy bulgogi fries, black milk tea, and mango yakult. I think our personal favorite was the orange chicken with rice!! Super delicious. I can't wait to come back to try the other dishes and drinks. The owner was super sweet when she took our orders at the cash register. I think there's a $5 minimum to use credit card fyi but that was fine because we ordered way more! While we sat waiting, our food was brought out to us hot and fresh. Thank goodness they were already in takeout containers because we couldn't finish the food. It was delicious as leftovers the next day. Definitely will be coming back!!

Tasty food! We ordered the beef garlic noodles, shrimp bowl, and beef bowl. They have a pretty decent selection of bobas. All of our food came out good. Drinks were yummy. We'd come back again. Oh and we loved the popcorn chicken! Service was great, they were friendly.

So happy to stumble upon this little gem! I drive by everyday coming from work and I finally stopped by to try it out. I was not one bit disappointed. I got the pad see ew, which seems to be a crowd favorite, shrimp fried rice and soy glazed wings. Everything was so flavorful and delicious! Not too salty but savory enough. I really loved it all. The place is clean and the staff is super friendly. It took a while to get my food but I assume it's because everything is made to order. I highly recommend you check them out! Can't wait to come back and try other things.

Came back here again this week for a quick pick up meal, and always a quick and reliable stop. The girl at the front was so sweet answering my questions about their menu as well as showing me to their bathroom in the back (I had to walk through the kitchen to use it and there is a bunch of stuff being stored in there, but hey I'm not one to complain about getting to use it). The drink was pretty well priced considering the inflation of boba drinks and especially fruit drinks, so SO WORTH IT. The chicken pad see ew was alright, 6.5/10- not the best but also was not bad and I would get again considering how convenient it is to get food from here. The chicken wings are not your traditional fried chicken wings but the flavor of the sauce was good; they were a bit dry but not enough to stop me from eating it. There are a few tables and countertop space along the wall for seating. The vibe is very chill inside, a bit homey, 'hole in the wall.' The parking lot is a bit tight but there are usually spots whenever I come by. Overall, the food this time was alright, but for the price and the kind service, I'm happy!

I've been receiving Yelp recommendations regarding this spot so decided to stop by to pick up some food. The spot is conveniently located in a strip mall with ample parking. The restaurant itself has a small dinning area but I was just picking up. The staff were friendly, attentive, and polite and were nice enough to accommodate my order pick up change time. I ordered several items that included chicken fried rice, pad see ew with beef, popcorn chicken with thai chili sauce, fried dumplings, and a thai tea with boba. My favorite was the chicken fried rice, it was delicious and full of flavors. The fried dumplings were perfectly cooked and very tasty. However the other items were good but not totally memorable. In conclusion, 164 Eatery didn't totally disappoint but under succeeded my expectations especially since Yelp kept recommending the spot to me. Maybe next time I drop by I'll get the garlic noodles.

Small hole in the wall that's run by a nice Korean couple. I love supporting non corporate businesses especially ones owned and run by a family. Of course the place has to be good and this place doesn't disappoint. I ordered the garlic noodles with filet and it was delicious and tasty. My coworkers always hit with their recommendations, and this is the latest one. It's a cute little hole in the wall without a ton of frills but it's cozy and very inviting. The entire visit at 194 Eatery was a delight from start to finish. The thing that will pop out is that the customer service is really exceptional at this cafe. The cashier/server is an absolute joy to speak to. Attentive, cheerful, helpful, and happy to accommodate the customers above and beyond even the nicest and expensive restaurants I've been to. It doesn't hurt that the food here is fantastic as well. You could hear the kitchen sizzling up delicious food on the wok and served quickly. Many restaurants I've been to make their fried rice either too greasy or not well seasoned. 194 Eatery hits the perfect balance and yet still gives you a very generous portion to top it off. After our meal, we all got a smoothie that again had a perfect balance of sweetness, creaminess, and flavor. I usually have small nitpicks at restaurants but I can't really find any faults here. It's just a wonderful spot you need to try in the area. read more

This restaurant is a hidden gem. I ordered the Pad See Ew with beef and Peach Lychee for dine in. It was roughly around $20 for both. The dining area has a very cozy and comforting feel to it. My order came out in less than 10 minutes. It was extremely delicious, and the portions are so huge I ended up only eating half of it. Whatever this place is doing they're doing it right, and other eateries should take notes. read more

The food here is OUTSTANDING! We get the filet mignon garlic noodles, bulgogi fried rice and bulgogi cheese fries and all three of those items are DELICIOUS! My daughter loves boba and I got her the strawberry boba and she said it's best boba she's ever had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

We LOVE this spot! We've been going consistently over the past month to hang out. Their food is great and there is a wide variety of things to try. The garlic noodles are some of our favorite which aren't pictured here. What makes us keep coming back however, is the service. The couple that owns this shop are so warm and welcoming to us. We had to come back and try out the foods! Let's start with my FAV: Garlic Noodles with Filet!! Lovely garlic flavor, I love garlic and in my opinion you can never have too much and these noods did not disappoint and topped with the most tender beef. This dish was fire! My next fav was the orange chicken, I know I know, kind of basic, but I can help it- I love me a good orange chicken with rice and veg! I would say the pad Thai and fries were a toss up for being my least favorite. Not that they were bad by any means, but I can be picky especially with fries and Thai! The pad Thai didn't taste like a traditional one (or at least what I am used too), it had more of a soy sauce flavor rather than a fish sauce or perhaps it's oyster sauce (I'm not sure), again not bad, just different. My biggest issue with the fries was they weren't crispy enough, but the flavor was good. Overall, my kids and I would definitely come back! Hope this spot lasts here in La Mirada! read more

So, I found out about this place because one drunken night, I went in my sister's fridge and had some left over garlic noodles and bulgogi and holy shnikes, it was so good! If the leftovers were that good, I could only imagine how good it would be fresh. I ordered the garlic noodles again with filet mignon this time, and their shrimp fried rice. While their filet mignon was good, I prefer the sweetness of the bulgogi, which is weird considering I don't really care for bulgogi in general. The wife of the husband and wife owned establishment and I chatted it up for a bit and she was so sweet and definitely made me feel like I was a regular even though it was my first time there. This place is probably one of my favorite places to eat in Whittier!! Definitely check it out and you will not be disappointed! read more

Although things are opening up, I'm still hesitant to go out and do sit-down. I do, however, look to Yelp to figure out what to pick-up for dinner as I still want to support businesses, especially in La Mirada. FFWD to my husband and I having the dreaded, "What do you want?" conversation. I see Asian Fusion and Boba and the name 194 Eatery. I have never seen this pop up. I'm intrigued. Much to my surprise, it opened up around the corner from me. Since my husband can never say no to Asian food, we decided to try it out. And we are glad that we did. I ordered the Filet Mignon Garlic Noodles. Two things that are fantastic on their own, put together in one entree! It was very tasty and the ingredients were fresh and of great quality. The portions are also huge. The garlic noodles make at least two meals for me. My husband ordered the same and also tried their chicken wings. He loves chicken wings! And, according to him, these are legit! (He got lemon pepper, BTW.) Now to the boba. Oh! The boba! I love boba, but I hate when it's that premixed milk tea crap out of a carton. Thankfully, this is not that. Since it is made in house, you can adjust the sugar that is added. I like to get the Black Milk Tea with 0% sugar because the boba is cooked with sugar and that is usually just enough sugar for me. The food is so good that you keep thinking about it. And I wasn't alone because my husband was also thinking about it. So, we went for dinner again two nights later. (We had to skip a night to eat our leftovers.) I think a lot of our desire to return has to do with how caring and welcoming the owners are. They make you feel at home. Anyhow, this time I opted for the bulgogi on garlic noodles. Once again, very flavorful and amazing! Hubs got the fried rice and chicken wings. Their fried rice was light, but also very filling. And since we had leftovers, we had them for dinner the following night. The owner also sent us with a few wontons that were bursting with flavor and I've been told they are going to put them on the menu soon. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this place. We need to support small businesses like this because they offer great food and we need to keep them running. I (half) jokingly leave with a, "See you tomorrow!" (And I did see them tomorrow. To pick up boba for myself and my coworkers.) read more

First time here, food was delicious! I ordered the Rice Bowl w/ Beef Bulgogi and topped off w/ egg. I thought the bowl was going to be smaller than it was, but it's a pretty good size.. great portions! The Garlic noodles with filet mignon had a nice flavor and a good amount of meat as well! The kimchi cheese fries were delicious. I'm SO happy that this place opened nearby!!! There aren't many restaurants near me that have good food and decent boba. 194 serves Asian Fusion comfort food AND soft, chewy, delicious boba! The owner is soooo sweet! She was so thankful for our patronage and asked how we found out about them since they just opened 2 weeks ago. And of course, I found them on Yelp! The food is made fresh after you order. You can place a take out order over the phone or online. They also have a few tables set up for indoor dining. They do not have outdoor seating at this time. We placed our order over the phone. We ordered the bulgogi rice bowl, kimchi fries, shrimp garlic noodles, a mango smoothie with boba and a pistachio smoothie. You can tell the bulgogi was marinated well because it was packed full of flavor. The bowl also came with fresh vegetables: broccoli, celery, bean sprouts and carrots. And when I say fresh, I really mean FRESH. It tastes like they just picked the vegetables! The kimchi fries had spam, chicken, cheese, kimchi (of course) and a sunny side egg. It had a perfect balance of tang, spice and savoriness. The shrimp garlic noodles had the right amount of chew and the garlic flavor was on point. The mango smoothie had fresh mango chunks! I was happily surprised. Their boba had the right amount of chewiness and softness. The pistachio smoothie was creamy. Both smoothies had the right amount of sweetness. Definitely a new favorite spot and I will be back again! read more

We stumbled on this Yelp page while deciding what to have for dinner. I'm so glad we went. The owners were so welcoming. I ordered the garlic noodles with Filet Mignon. It was very good. The meat was extremely tender and the portion was huge. I also ordered some lemon pepper wings and those were perfect. They were better than the popular chicken wing places. I also ordered a caramel boba which hit the spot. Everything I ordered was delicious and it's obvious they take pride in their food. I'm happy they are so close. Started the New Year trying something new for me. This Restaurant has been here for a couple of years and I just tried it. I'm very impressed! I ordered the orange chicken plate, garlic noodle with the filet mignon, and fried rice with bulgogi. We loved it all. We have found a new place for sure!!! The customer service is awesome as well!! The food and service here is amazing. Great local spot that has a variety of Asian and Asian inspired dishes. It seems like it's a mom-pop owned shop so it's great supporting local businesses. My personal favorite is the garlic noodles with filet mignon. I highly recommend this place if you're craving that and much more. The location is very convenient in a easy to spot plaza on the corner of two major streets(Imperial and Valley View). The pricing is also another factor including the very generous portions. Again, highly recommend, will not disappoint. read more

Tried this place on a whim and I'm truly impressed! I had the strawberry milk tea and a chicken rice bowl, both were absolutely delicious. Also tried the bugolgi fries, which were amazing as well. Overall it's a cute place! Easy to pick up food for take out or it has some tables if you want to stick around. I highly recommend! read more

My new favorite place!! The moment we came in I noticed how clean and spotless it was. The lady who helped us was so sweet, the prices are reasonable. I wish I took a picture to show you how sad my chicken garlic noodles was. It was really bland and did not have much of a garlic flavor. I had high hopes for this place since the reviews are all so great. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing :( The great thing about this place is how friendly the staff. We decided to try take out for dinner tonight. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back. My husband and I both wanted the garlic noodles and they were really good. He got them with shrimp and it was nice to see that they had so many options: beef, chicken, vegetables, tofu or plain. The portions were great too! The bluegi fries were bomb too. Cheesy and flavorful mixed with really good grilled onions. I would definitely get this again. I was also impressed by their large selection of boba tea and smoothies. I will definitely have to try them next time. A few years ago this used to be a great breakfast and lunch spot (Amy's Cafe) and I was very sad when it closed. Good to see there is at least one more good place now. Vegetarian options: There seemed to be a lot of vegetarian options available. Parking: Free parking right in front.
