    Taro slush with boba
    Lynnette V.

Every time I visit this place, I get their Taro slush with boba or the Monster boba. The sweetness of their Taro slush is just about right, not overpowering, while the Monster boba is typically sweet. The boba pearls at this place can be inconsistent in texture - sometimes chewy and sometimes slightly firm. SERVICE: I usually get my drinks to go from this place. You order your drinks, and they prepare them quickly. There isn't much interaction with customer service, but they are efficient, especially when there's a line. AMBIANCE: It is average, a little outdated, and could benefit from a little tidying up.

Love this location! I've been a returning customer to this location for a couple years now & the drinks & service have always been consistently great! The seating area is very clean with plenty of tables. The cashiers are extremely friendly & helpful & I'll be back for their welcoming service! There are many other boba tea shops in the surrounding area but Ding Tea La Mirada has the best, most authentic tasting tea & the most perfect boba, in my opinion. I love their Brown Sugar Milk Tea. Can't wait to come back to try the Matcha Latte soon!

I ordered 2 popcorn chicken . 1 spicy and 1 no spicy. They're put too much spice so my chicken taste like bitter spicy.

Taro green milk tea with Golden Boba

Ding Tea has many Taiwanese beverages. It has nice decor but no photo op opportunities like other locations or Boba places. It wasn't busy when I was there. So, I got my drink fairly quickly. The customer service was okay. She could have been a little more friendlier. I got the Taro Green Milk Tea, which is Taro mash + green milk tea. I added golden Boba. They seemed softer than other boba I've had. Wish I had added crystal boba as well. The drink itself was good, but the Taro flavor could have been stronger. I always ask for the lowest sweet and ice levels. To me, it's so much better when it's not too sweet. You'll also get more of your beverage with less ice. You'll thank me later

I am so glad that we have a boba/bubble tea café in this area even though I do like the flavors at the other locations. I think the first one I went to was in Brea with my sister a few years ago, and I can't remember exactly which drink I had, but it was delicious and on the sweeter side. The ones in North County have a different feel to them, and although I really miss the flavors they have, the prices at La Mirada are super affordable because for the first time in a while, the cost was $4/something before tip, and a lot of cafés charge almost $10 for a drink. The customer service was efficient, and I have no complaints about my drink. Passionfruit black tea is great, and my new favorite combo for customizing is slight ice/slight sugar! I've been reading the horror stories of how a lot of these businesses are ran, but I hope that Ding Tea is an exception.

    Popcorn Chicken

The service was friendly but I'm guessing they were pretty busy with online orders. I got my drink super fast but the popcorn chicken ended up taking about 20 minutes due to high volume. It was about 4pm on a Thursday so I would probably recommend getting prepared to wait just in case. The mild is still pretty spicy with is the norm for popcorn chicken but to someone who hasn't had it- be prepared! Mild is NOT mild and I can't even imagine how hot the hot order is the iced brown sugar coffee latte was okay but I wasn't a fan of the crystal boba. The texture was way different than I was expecting. There were a fair amount of tables and chairs so you can either dine in or grab to go. Good vibe overall.

This ding tea location is as good as the other ones. They make good drinks and it always keeps me happy. Service is always quick and friendly. What makes me happier are the golden fish balls. They are so yummy! Honestly, one of the reasons I keep coming back is for the golden fish balls. Sometimes they sell so many fish balls they run out of them. That tells you something. So, come by and watch a bunch of college students work hard to make your drink. They are so good at it. It's like a well oiled machine. Clockwork. Lol. So fun!

    Strawberry Milk Tea

One of my worst experiences EVER. I order a strawberry smoothie with honey boba, everything goes well the interaction with the cashier. But here's the part that really gets me. I didn't receive A STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE. I got strawberry milk tea. This is absolutely unacceptable, milk tea doesn't even remotely sound like smoothie. Honestly I'm appalled, that's what I am.

I hit this spot to pick up some cold teas, I ordered Thai Milt Tea with Boba. The Teas were very good and well made. The staff here is friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back when craving a good Tea!

Teas are well made. Friendly service and good taste. Nice little spot to hangout with friends and music.

Mia couldn't handle someone ordering one drink and tried to kick me out while the other guy in front was ordering. Seriously?!
    Sally F.

Mia needs to work on her customer service skills. I called in tonight at 9:55 in an attempt to call ahead for an oolong milk tea since I was driving and 3 mins away (I live just 5 mins away). The girl who picked up (the cashier) told me they don't take phone orders, but that they close in 5 mins so I had to get there by then. I told her I'd be there soon. When I arrived, another customer had just arrived too, and we nearly went in simultaneously. While he ordered (he ended up ordering 3 monster teas and some chocolate looking drink), my husband and I waited and just looked at the menu. That's when Mia came over by the cashier and told us that the person in front was their last order because they're closing in one minute (literally while the guy was still ordering). I told her that I was the one who called in and was told they closed in 5 mins when we were 3 minutes away, and we literally came in at the same time as the guy in front of us. She rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, but it'd be really *difficult* because we close in one minute." My husband and I were stunned at Mia. Literally, we were inside before they closed and she gave us such an attitude. When the man in front finished, we asked again if they can simply make my one drink, and the cashier asked if it was the oolong milk tea (she must have been the one who picked up the phone). She still took the order (out of oolong, so I got jasmine) and it was ready right at the same time as they gave the man in front his order. Mia didn't even end up making the drink, as it was some other coworker's task. She just didn't want to wash another cup. Really?! She needs to work on her customer service. You don't kick someone out before the store closes, especially when they came in a second after the guy in front. The cashier, the drink maker and the guy mopping the floor, I have no issues with. It's just Mia that was appalling in her attitude. I worked at a boba tea shop for nearly a year in college and yes, I hated when customers came in right before we closed at 10:30 PM, but I still took their order because that's my job--to serve and make my customers feel welcomed.

I had ordered a milk tea and their Thai tea and was super disappointed with the flavor it was complete milk unfortunately and no sweeteners despite us having the 100% sweetener option. The drinks came out very far from each other time wise as well which isn't a super big issue but it's noticeable and could be an issue for bigger orders. Super busy somehow so we didn't want to burden the worker while the store had a rush. Other than that the place gave me a very pretentious vibe. I'm all for starting a business you're passionate about but it's hard to see what's different about THIS cafe in a world full of other businesses claiming to be different that's serving the same items (matcha specifically). Not to say that there's not bad matcha or coffee out there, there is. Seems like the type of cafe people go to take a picture of their drinks and pretend like they're connoisseurs and pretend that it's "different" than whatever else is out there and sit and pretend to study on their laptop (even though it's the loudest and crowded place in the world in there). Seeing that the place opened recently, it's very hard to believe this isn't some type of money grab for a younger audience to serve trendy drinks. Or at the very least, a very expensive passion project for the owner. Overall just more focused on aesthetics more than anything.
