These guys are great! We bought an older home based on updated kitchen and baths, unfortunately the closets were a total disaster. Botched DIY by previous owner. Drawers that wouldn't open, mis-matched knobs, raw wood: horrible and unusable. I called 180 Closet Design and they custom designed and installed beautiful and functional modern closets in two bedrooms and hall linen closet, 5 total closets (bedrooms had two each). This was 2 years ago, and they have held up flawlessly. We have received compliments from visiting family and guests. Now we just sold our home and are moving on, and the realtor said our closets were a good selling point in the bedrooms, and I know we would have had a hard time with the old ones! We had two closets installed and are so happy with the results. We had other house renos going on and Scot was flexible around scheduling (few months later per our request). In the meantime, Scot still met virtually a few times (after the initial in person measurements) to get the closet designs finalized to what we wanted. He was understanding and made the changes as requested or pointed out better recommendations based on his expertise. Custom closets are pricey in general, but this company has the added bonus of the price including install, which is what led us to choosing this company. One closet required more gutting and dry wall and they did a great job in opening up the space. The installer who was present and installed most of the closets and did the drywall, Mauricio, was very kind and did a thorough job making sure everything was lined up right and working correctly--he worked fast but also made sure everything was done right. There were additional installers too and they were great too--they paid close attention to detail and cleaned up the space well post-install. We're grateful for our new closets and are very happy with the design, cost, and install. We hope to revamp other closets in the future and will absolutely recommend 180 Closet Design to others. read more

The mark of a really good company is not just the product they deliver, but how they handle any bumps in the road along the way. Hannah, my designer, did a great job right from the start, when we had to pry open the old closet door with a hammer and chisel. Yes, it was a mess. She was able to design a functional closet the met all of our storage requirements in spite of some, uh, "treasures" that filled the existing space and had to go. However, there was a problem and delay with the order. This was particularly critical due to an approaching surgery -- we needed the space to be finished ASAP. CEO Scott called me and explained that there were doing everything possible; the shipment was prioritized. It arrived on time, and a crew stayed late to ensure that the project could be completed the next day. Scott also gave me a significant discount in compensation for the additional wait. The moral of the story is that the mark of an exceptional company is not always just the product -- it is the honesty and fairness of the people running it. I hired 180 Closet Design to completely redo my walk-in closet. Check out the photo I uploaded. It's amazing. Scot and his crew did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier. The project was multi-phased. Scot first came in and took measurements. Later, we sat together in my kitchen (this was before the pandemic) and brainstormed the closet design. Then he came back and we went through several iterations until we got it just right. Throughout the entire process, Scot was extremely patient and helpful. He also came up with a number of critical insights. The closet had a lot of tricky aspects, including a custom designed curved shelf. The actual work took three days. The workmanship was polished and professional. When they left, my house was cleaner then before they showed up. I should also note that during the install, they had to install some lights and cut into the ceiling. When they did, they discovered a small leak in the roof. Scot put me in touch with a great roofer who fixed the problem right away. Scot is the best -- extremely responsive and just a genuine good guy. I couldn't be happier with my closet. read more

Excellent closet installation and service. I have the world's smallest walk-in closet with space that was not used efficiently. I contacted Scott based on the few but great reviews on yelp, and I was not disappointed. First, he came to my home to do a free consultation and that very evening was able to show me a 3D rendering of what my closet could look like. With a few tweaks based on my storage necessities (aka all my shoes), we were off to the races. I scheduled an appointment for my closet to be done, and it was complete in about half a day. It is now extremely easy to find what I'm looking for, and my closet is completely organized -- I can now fit even more clothing in my tiny space. :) If you need a closet or any sort of storage solutions and you're in the DMV I recommend you try this company out before some of the larger businesses. read more

We added a large closet and laundry room onto our master suite. Before the renovation, we met with several closet design companies to plan the layout and evaluate our options. We decided on '180 Closet Design' after Scot Schrager came to our home, built a 3D rendered model of the space, and showed us what amazing potential it had. The LED puck and tape dimmable lighting options, the soft-close glass door cabinet shelving units, the open-faced jewelry/scarf drawers, the beautiful hardware, and the island in the middle made it look more like a showroom in Paris than a closet added to reclaimed space above our garage. Choosing Scot was seriously one of the best decisions we made with this renovation. Not just because he had an amazing plan, but because he delivered a final product that was even more impressive. He was readily available at any time and his pricing was comparable. His installation crew, headed by Mauricio, was first class in every way: experienced, polite, neat, and true craftsmen in every sense. It was a custom closet and no detail was missed from the built in benches at the dormers to the recessed shelving built directly into the wall. Or from the flush panels at the floor to the crown molding at the ceiling. Nooks and openings were filled with custom made shelving units and it was all completed on time, according to schedule. While building a new home, the builder couldn't find a laundry room arrangement that allowed for the machines, a sink, and the door to the room. We had Scot take a look and he found a cabinet arrangement that met all our needs, included a customized pullout clothes rack and nifty under cabinet lighting. We also had Scot do our master closets and garage--including floor treatment--and they all came out fantastically! We had such a better use of space in the closets that we asked Scot to come back again and do our mudroom closet, which is significantly more functional (and organized) now. We were very happy with Closet Renovators. They redid two of our closets. One of the closets involved moving a wall to make the closet space larger. They were able to do this, while some other Closet companies do not offer this service (you'd need to hire another company to move the wall).
