When we bought our house in 2005, the people who flipped it had just redone the kitchen. It was perfectly fine, but nothing exciting. Years later, it was time to replace everything, and we wanted a kitchen with a better flow, more space, and better quality cabinets and appliances. Most contractors we contacted simply wanted to replace everything without improving it. Bath Plus Kitchen has actual architects on staff, listened to my list of wants and needs, and then incorporated them. I liked that they change a base price for this, so that I had the option of taking the plans to a different contractor or of using their in-house building crew. We went with their building crew, and we're really happy with how the kitchen turned out. It's so much more open and spacious than before. I have lots of space for working. I upgraded to a powerful stove with a hood, both of which work great. I'm really happy with the quality of the cabinets -- such an upgrade from any I've had before, probably ever. I'm enjoying the little extras that they planned into the kitchen that wouldn't have occurred to me, like dimmers on all of the lights, the quality hardware, touch-sensitive faucet, even the matching wood-panel vent covers and switch plate. The building crew did a very good job keeping the site clean and performing quality work all the way around. Nothing has felt wobbly, looked crooked, or seemed in the slightest bit off. A few negatives: Bath Plus Kitchen is BUSY! We started working on this project in November 2022. We finalized the plans, picked out appliances, and put down a large deposit in early February 2023. Work on our kitchen actually began the second week of July. That's a while to wait! We also had a few communication challenges, like a shifting start date, when to expect the crew to be at our house, and who was responsible for arranging delivery of a few items. It was nothing awful, but worth keeping on top of. Overall, the kitchen looks great and is great to cook in, and I'm excited to have friends over. Wow I don't really know what to say about these guys. We made an appointment for them to come out for a consultation. We even re-confirmed the appointment a couple of days before. The day of the consultation/estimate came and no one showed up at the appt time!!! We called back and they got the sales guy. It turns out the sales guy was "stuck" out on some other call and had completely forgotten about the appt?!?! WOW just WOW. What kind of business does this? I guarantee you that if this was during the downturn in the economy a few years ago, these guys wouldn't have "forgotten". I find it dubious that these guys have five star ratings when they cannot even get a consultation right. I'd stay far away from them that's for sure. read more

BPK exceeded my expectations! I had never gone through any type of renovation before, so I was a little hesitant to move forward with the process of renovating my very small master bathroom. After my first meeting with BPK, I instantly realized how involved and accommodating the entire team would be throughout the process. Yuviny, who is absolutely amazing, came by to check out our space and measure the area for a plan. Afterwards, I sent in some pictures of what type of bathroom I was hoping for. Shortly after, my husband and I stopped by their showroom to check out what was drawn up. They helped my vision come to life. From the overall design to the smallest details you wouldn't even think about, everything was well thought-out and available for us to view. Everything that Julia and Marissa had picked out were perfect. They also picked everything with our budget in mind (pretty sure we even ended up slightly under budget). They provided us with a 3D model of the layout and a selections sheet that included links to all the parts that were being ordered for the bathroom. The entire construction crew were just as great. Yuviny and his team worked hard every single day. They were always on time and always cleaned up at the end of each day (AMAZING). Each day, they would tell us how the project was coming along and would explain to us what they worked on and what would be next. Yuviny was also great at thinking through the smallest details and making sure everything would fit perfectly. He would even think through some possible changes throughout the project that he thought would enhance the logistics of the bathroom even more. When we had some questions about possible changes, Eric was over the next day to check it out and see what could work. Throughout the whole process Eric was RESPONSIVE and PATIENT. I couldn't have imagined a smoother renovation. They were able to match our paint color, the crown molding, and baseboards without us having to go to a store or look up anything! This was our second kitchen remodel. Our experience with our first remodel was less than stellar so we were determined to find a better contractor this time around. Eric and his crew did not disappoint and we were very pleased with the outcome! From planning and design all the way through finishing touches, Bath Plus Kitchen took great care of us and our kitchen. During design, Eric helped us flesh out our vision and let us know what would work in our space. He also was able to recommend several places in the area to find tile, cabinets, and countertops. The project included completely demoing the existing kitchen, converting the stove to gas, and running a new water line for refrigerator. Once demo and build started, the crew was on time, clean and paid attention to detail. Progress was clearly communicated to us and there was never a surprise. We even made some last minute requests that were handled very gracefully. The project was finished on time and on budget. The finished product looks great and is exactly what we wanted! We were so thrilled with the work of the entire team at BPK (Eric, Austin, Victor, and the crew) during our kitchen and bath renovation. We selected BPK after reviewing their website and social media accounts. We were impressed with their work, and even when the project didn't match our style, it was obvious that they did great work. We also appreciated that their website is transparent about the size, scope, and pricing of the projects they take on. Working with BPK really helped to mitigate the intimidation factor of getting our first home renovation work completed. Going into the project we knew we needed to find a team we could trust because we did not want to be responsible for making all the decisions (way too intimidating). After our consultation with them we knew we had picked the right team. During the design process they helped us narrow the choices based on styles we found online and had recommendations about materials, etc. They helped us know which decisions were important when, which was super helpful! They also politely helped push us along when we were slow to make decisions. That was incredibly helpful. The construction process was excellent. Eric and the team estimated the project would take four weeks. We chose to move out (because of our pet) but we stopped by on a routine basis to check on progress. We did notice some small things that required correction, and the BPK team was happy to make the changes immediately. While the work seemed to be proceeding nicely, we were so shocked to get a note from BPK at the end of the third week saying that the work had been completed! That's right, our project with BPK was completed early and on budget! We will definitely work with BPK again in the future and highly recommend BPK and everyone on their team for their excellent work. read more

I hired Bath Plus Kitchen Design Remodel to do my small master bedroom bathroom. Eric showed up on time, sent me a computer generated design of my bathroom, and made sure all details were approved by my husband and me. He estimated the job would take three weeks, however the job was completed in less than two weeks with the exception of the custom shower door, which will be ready next week. The contractor, Richard, and his subcontractor showed up before 8 am and worked through until 5 pm every business day. They were very neat and showed exceptional workmanship. The bid was very reasonable and they stayed on budget. They have by far been the best contractors we have ever hired. I would highly recommend them. read more

We used Eric, Marissa and their team for an office renovation with built-ins and custom desk, full guest bathroom remodel, and added a shower to a basement half bath. This is our first house and first experience with any renovation and we are so glad that we chose to work with this team. We have heard so many horror stories about renovations gone wrong (shoddy work, contractors that ghost you, etc) so we were pretty anxious about the whole process. We recently used Bath Plus Kitchen to remodel our kitchen. We are very happy with our new kitchen! As far as I am concerned, it was a pretty big job between demo, new cabinets in existing and new locations, new countertops, new floors, electrical, duct work, drywall, paint, taking down beams, adding a large island, etc. Eric and Italo were very helpful and easily accessible. Italo absolutely wanted to please us with all of the design work. He came over our house many times, even met me at my office to drop of cabinet samples. They said it was going to be a 3 week job and the only reason that it took 4 weeks is that we asked them to do more stuff than we originally intended. Our family is thrilled with our experience working with Eric and the rest of his team at BPK. I wasn't sure where to start so last October I started looking at Yelp. I had lived through a nightmare renovation in Capitol Hill years ago and I didn't want to end up there again. From the first email Eric was very responsive but not at all pushy. I had no idea what I wanted except an updated kitchen and dining room. I'm not the type of person who keeps pictures of designs I like or who even has a good sense about design. Luckily Eric brought Austin in to help with those decisions and she assisted us through that process. I'm sure it was frustrating as we didn't know what we wanted, both my husband and I work full time crazy jobs and we have four children. Somehow Eric and Austin never lost their cool with us as the patiently pulled us along and narrowed the decision making process. They laid out a clear timeline and budget very early and stuck to it completely. After the actual renovation began Eric and his construction team communicated with us on what to expect daily as we stayed in our home during the entire thing. They cleaned up and made living in the rest of the house for us as easy as it can be under those circumstances. The renovations proceeded on schedule and in accordance with the plan that was agreed upon. The payment schedule made perfect sense and was never a point of contention. Change orders were clearly discussed up front so agreement could be reached. The workmanship is impeccable. The cabinetry Eric recommended is gorgeous and sturdy. The appliances (which again I had no opinions about coming into the project) but the mark with being high quality and durable but not too extravagant for someone who isn't much of a cook. The wood flooring done to match the remainder of our historic home was astonishingly beautiful. I can't even begin to explain how much I appreciated the workmanship of Christian and his crew on the extensive wood flooring that had to be completed. True expert craftsmen who clearly take such pride in their work. The project was completed in July 2019 right on time and I waited until now just to see how everything would hold up and to see if we would need any follow up. We have only had one small issue pop up and Eric handles it immediately. Otherwise we have just been enjoying our new family space and all the compliments we receive from family and friends! She was extremely satisfied with her new bathroom and the whole remodeling process,so we decided to call Eric for our hallway bathroom remodel. I was looking for a complete remodel of my hallway and only bathroom. I got an initial quote online, and when I was ready to move forward, Italo and Eric were extremely helpful in offering ideas on how to maximize storage capacity (one of my priorities) and helping me select quality items that would work. This was my first major home project, the options felt overwhelming at times, but Eric gave me the space I needed to consider/reconsider selections. The project took about 2.5 weeks to complete, and I moved out for the first two weeks. Calixto, the site manger, and team were a pleasure to work with.Very respectful and cleaned up well at the end of each day. The project had some small delays -- extra plumbing work work required before the walls could be closed up, grouting the beveled tile I selected slowed down the pace of work, and we switched out the medicine cabinet as the first choice proved a little too large.
