When I got no response, I left numerous messages and finally received an email from his assistant indicating " they were cut from two different slabs, but the same lot, even though the color of the stone is not consistent on all of it. Unfortunately, it cannot be fixed. The stone is like that." Not a believable explanation at all. I went to the store a week ago to talk with Florian but he was out. His assistant promised me he would call. No calls from Florian. - Poor workmanship in matching the colors/shading at the seam. - Horrible customer response after installation. I did a lot of research and got 1/2 a dozen estimates on my kitchen remodel, most of which were outrageously expensive! Then I found Eric (the owner of Better Granite Garcia). He was absolutely amazing and so wonderful to work with. He answered my call immediately and came the same day to give me an estimate on new kitchen countertops as well as bathroom vanity tops. I have never remodeled a kitchen before and was a little nervous about blowing my budget. Eric walked through it with me every step of the way. From designing the island to fit my kitchen perfectly, choosing the color and stone that not only fit my taste but my budget as well. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive products and tried to help me save without cutting corners. I must have called him 50 times with 100 different questions and he never seemed to get annoyed with me and was always prompt to return my calls and texts. His staff did an incredible job. They were on time, worked hard all day and totally transformed my kitchen and bathrooms and made them look stunning! They payed very close attention to every detail. I would have never known one of my counter tops was in two pieces because they cut it and put it back together so well it literally looked seamless. They also cleaned up so well when they left there wasn't a speck of dust on my floors! Every one of his employees went above and beyond what they were paid to do and it really showed. We wanted to replace our laminate kitchen countertop with a quartz countertop. The kitchen is a U…read moreshape with a sink in the top of the U, then after the stove there is another very small countertop and another countertop beside the refrigerator. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: No pressure sales by informed salespeople in the store. They know their products but don't push for a sale. It was nice to not feel pressured. The stone is available in a storage warehouse right next to the store so you see the actual slab and not just a small sample. There is a good selection. After a 50% deposit, they schedule the installation at your convenience with a day and time window. They removed the old countertops, installed the new ones, and drilled holes for the faucet (we had it already) at the house. Cons: We received a voicemail message the day before installation changing the delivery from morning to afternoon and it was difficult to shuffle work meetings at the last minute. There is a seam at the sink we weren't told about. We assumed and should have confirmed, but we thought the U would be one big piece. It's not very noticeable, it's just not what we expected. We had them also install their 50/50 sink. It looks good and is really deep. For the plumber, the drains are at the back of the sink not in the middle. My husband had to reconfigure the pipes to make this work so it wasn't a simple installation. (They don't hook up the sink.) Overall, we're happy with the countertops. The installers were nice and professional. Once done, they used our shop vac to clean up.
