Highly recommend 16 Handles Tribeca location. Very pleasant experience. May seem confusing when you enter but the staff is very helpful. Must get a cup by the register. Everything is charged by the weight. Various choices of dairy, vegan, or frozen yogurt. I chose the vegan ice cream, which was absolutely amazing!!! My inner fat chic had me try one side heath toffee, the other side Oreo topping. As you can see in the pictures posted there is a wide variety of toppings. You will also find cozy, clean, outdoor seating to enjoy your ice cream.

Great self serve icecream at this location. Highly recommend the blue raspberry! The toppings bar is decent as well.

Store hours. Showing they're supposed to be open at midnight.

Store window says that they are open until midnight on Saturday. I showed up at 11:06PM, and was told they were closed. So, you know, it's random whether you can believe the things their signs tell you, I guess. 1 star.

The worst tasting ice cream I have ever had- for 15 dollars! Tasted like water. Ordered a large and could barely eat 1/5 of it. Horrible

I also had the chocolate peanut butter bliss for dessert. It was one of the best desserts I've had. It's a double layer ganache and peanut butter mousse, topped with caramel sauce and strawberries served with cranberry sauce candied peanuts Candle still continues to stand the test of time. The original Candle 79 closed almost over a decade ago. A few years ago I discovered that Candle Cafe had still kept its doors open I've visited a few times for brunch and finally came back for lunch; I haven't made it for dinner yet and would gladly return.

The bartender Carlos makes you feel welcome as soon as you step in and gives you a thorough and honest walk through of the menu - Ambiance good for a semi casual meal - Not very crowded on a weekday lunch MENU - Global inspired shareable small plates and larger entrees - All vegetarian/vegan - Slightly pricey but portions are generous FOOD - Zaatar cauliflower (8/10): grilled cauliflower steak on a bed of tomato chickpea stew topped with a generous dollop of kale pesto and tahini. This dish sounded simple yet each component added a significant flavor and textural element. The cauliflower is tender enough to break with a fork with a crispy exterior from the grilled crust. The chickpea tomato stew is comforting and slightly spicy yet stays light and fresh. The kale pesto is earthy and bright and pairs well with the generous pour of tahini. The portion is good for one person as a lighter entree or can be shared as part of a larger spread. - Mexican brownie sundae (9/10): brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate fudge, balsamic cherry reduction, and bananas. I was not planning to order dessert but I am so glad that I did. This dessert was the perfect blend of sweet, bitter, and acidic. The brownie is soft and fudgy and melts in your mouth as you take a bite. The ice cream is rich and lightly stuffed with vanilla flecks. The cherries add a strong tartness which contrasts the rich chocolate and sweet vanilla. Highly recommend getting a dessert at the end of your meal. WOULD I GO BACK? As much as I would want to, this place is sadly closing at the end of September 2026

If you didn't know, this is a Mexican restaurant with a full vegan menu. We shared a plate of plantain that came on a delicious later of black bean puree. We also got chips and mango salsa ... That's really a great salsa! For the main course, I decided to get the pescado and al pastor chicken tacos. I have never had the al pastor profile with 'chicken' before, so that was interesting. I enjoyed both tacos, and I think the al pastor was my favorite. I got the churros for the dessert, and the presentation was so cool, but I have to admit I did not love them. They tasted way too fried, if that makes sense. My sister got the chocolate chili tart ... It had stunning presentation, and ... It really was delicious! That would be my first choice next time. This place does brunch and has great cocktails as well. They are more on the expensive side and I would reserve them for special occasions, but I overall enjoyed everything. Highly recommend!

Avocado Lettuce Cups($23)- Comes with 2 lettuce cups that hit many different flavors. Spicy, sweet, tangy and creamy all in one bite Whole roasted cauliflower- ($33)- It has a nice grill/char flavor that was greatly complimented with the spicy tahini. Was a nice touch of textures with the additional pomegranate Spaghetti($29)- This dish had a creamy sauce that surprised me since it had a more citrus flavor than I expected. Flavor was a little bland compared to the others Overall I really enjoyed it and would not mind coming back to try some of the other dishes, but my favorite was the cauliflower which I would order again. The waiter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes we order and accommodated anything we needed such as substituting certain ingredients to cater a vegan if needed. Yanette and the staff provided excellent service. The decor ambience and open kitchen have a nice chic vibe, definitely a date place or for celebrations. Highly recommend!
