I regularly write reviews on platforms like Yelp and TripAdvisor, and I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly checked in while waiting for our friends to arrive. Our server, Preston, was fantastic--friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a medium ribeye, which was cooked perfectly, as were the meals of our companions. My husband had the halibut and thoroughly enjoyed it. The overall experience was excellent, made even better by the great company. read more

Drove from Tampa to check out the new Lakewood Ranch location after having eaten at one of the Charlotte locations and was not disappointed! They were busy but not overly crowded which made for a great experience. We started with cocktails on the patio (the massive screened windows open up making for the perfect FL HH vibe) before moving to a table in the dining room which was also beautiful. The servers were attentive from the moment we sat down and made sure we were taken care of. The most impressive thing we noticed was the speed at which everything came out from the bar & kitchen. Despite being new & busy on a Friday night, everything came out extremely fast and fresh. As far as the menu goes, you really can't go wrong. We've tried most of the appetizers at this point and they're all amazing, but the cornbread is the best you'll ever have. The Thai Steak, Prime Rib, & Shrimp n Grits are also next level. We were beyond full from apps & dinner but heard the strawberry shortcake was amazing so we had to make room - no regrets whatsoever! Their version of a strawberry shortcake is unique in that has a massive, sweetened biscuit as the base rather than cake and let me tell you, I never want strawberry shortcake any other way. It's that good! Overall 10/10 experience at this new addition to the area and we're already looking forward to going back! read more

Stopped in for lunch and the cobb salad was wonderful with the house made cornbread croutons. We also tried the cornbread skillet appetizer and deviled eggs. Both were excellent. Espresso martini was yummy. We will definitely go back for dinner. read more

Delicious food and the service is top tier. They are so professional and all work as a team. So far I've dine in the bar booths (which was moody and intimate) and the dining room (which was awesome to see the chefs and line hard at work). Great spot for lunch or dinner read more

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt that this restaurant really cares about their customers. We were greeted immediately & were offered options while we waited for the rest of our group. We could enjoy the lovely comfortable patio couches or be seated at our table and enjoy a drink. perfect ! We chose to be seated and had immediate service by Patrick who got us our drinks. Our drinks were served including lids on the kids waters. Our food was delicious, timely & some of the BEST crab cakes I've ever had!! They had a nice kids menu too & everyone agreed that the food was outstanding & cooked perfectly. Wine list was impressive with a nice selection of wines by the glass. When it was dessert time, they really out did themselves with both kids with vanilla bean ice cream & chocolate sauce!! Both kids hate to go out to eat at a restaurant usually but not this time!! Mom & Dad were able to enjoy their dinners with the kids enjoying their pasta. I am sorry we missed the grilled artichokes as I read a lot of reviews & that was highly recommended but they are now out of season. We will definitely be going back!! read more

Excellent bar service with Brian. Brunswick stew special and wild rice side salad was awesome! In an odd way they went together very well. He had the French dip, unbelievable! Perfect bread to meat ratio and fries were fresh and crisp. We will be back for sure. read more

outstanding food everything was exceptional. The service was great. I highly recommend it. It's a little noisy, but not bad. It has a really great energizing vibe. Looking forward to going back. The trout was excellent. The special halibut was excellent. Everything was great. read more

Best restaurant in Lakewood Ranch! My husband and I love going here for lunch and dinner. Everything we've tried is excellent and the service is top tier. It's also such a gorgeous restaurant! read more

We wanted to like this place it's beautiful and instead we loved it. We had reservations for four at 7:15 but they couldn't find them. I checked my app and saw it was there, but it was never sent to the restaurant and they said that's OK. We will make sure you get seated and in a blink of an eye we were. That's how you run a business Our server was amazing, attentive, helpful, recommended delicious dishes, and every meal that was ordered although there was four of us three people got the special which was the grouper and my husband who's been eating grouper for many years even the ones he's caught, said it was probably one of the best groupers Dinner that he's ever had. I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious. We also ordered the cornbread for an appetizer and split two desserts. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The open kitchen adds to its ambience. I can't wait to go back again. I also want to do a shout out to one of the chefs who came by to ask about our dinner and we asked him if he could see our server so we could have him take a picture - his response was " I can cook and take pictures" and indeed he did. We had a couple great photos that he took!! Love this place! read more

So this could be a 10 but falls flat to a 6, the food has the makings to be great but just falls short.

I have been to this restaurant multiple times and it is now one of my favorites in Sarasota. We love the overall ambiance of the place and the service is good. The greatest thing is the food - definitely worth checking this place out if you have not been there. read more

Had an amazing experience on 6/5: we were quoted a 20 min wait time, we saw an open booth in the bar area which was first come first serve so opted to skip the wait and sit there. Glad we did! Our bartenders Marjorie, Hunter, Bryan, Cody were all great, each of them came by and took part in our exceptional service. Food was also on point! My wife had the special Halibut and I ordered the Filet ( the marinated ribeye was 86 for the night: all good will try next visit) Filet was cooked perfectly, and the cook on hardwood grill reminded me of one of my other favorite restaurants. Broccoli had a great spice to it from crushed pepper. Crème Brûlé was a nice finish! Glad we drove past this place last night and can't wait to return again! Well done!! read more

My girlfriend and I visited this past week for her birthday... the staff was wonderful, the food was incredible, and the atmosphere- amazing! We were greeted right away, even though they were very busy, and our food arrived in less than a half hour from the time we ordered. I had the chicken, and it was delicious, with leftovers to take home. This place will be a great date night in the future! read more

This place is amazing. They are so great for people with allergens. Their service is excellent and the food is so good.

We were a group of four and three of our meals came out lukewarm. Not sure why a restaurant that is rates so high can't heat the plates before they serve the food. There seems to be a delay from the kitchen preparing the food in the servers bringing it to the table. We got the prime rib sandwich and asked for horseradish three times. Our sandwich was almost entirely done by the time they finally delivered it. This may be a small complaint but we expected a little more from a restaurant that is a little expensive for lunch. Our waiter was very friendly and cordial, but something is happening between the kitchen and the waiters. This was our third time and probably our last. read more

The food was delicious and Zachary our server was outstanding! The service is second to none!

The best cornbread ever!! The best shaved prime rib sandwich I've ever had since moving to Florida many years ago. Great service.

First visit, everything very well done. Cornbread excellent. Wait staff attentive and knowledgeable. Food was prepared perfectly. Nice restraint layout and great acoustics read more

Overall overpriced but nice ambiance and service. Liked my pork chop but limited appetizer menu. Artichokes burned and dried out. Corn bread tasted like cake and too sweet as an appetizer. Not the best meal but also not the worst. read more

We got to preview 131 Main in Sarasota before the official grand opening. This restaurant is spectacular. A carefully thought out ambience welcomes you as you enter. The attentive greeting warms your hearts. We are seated and then greeted by our server offers the daily specials and any information we request. We ordered appetizers (cornbread) and Ahi Tuna Salad and our entrees. Food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the Crab Cakes and Grilled Ribeye. Dessert was ordered. The strawberry Shortcake Biscuit topped with ice cream is a must with cappuccino to end the night. We were wowed between the food and the top tier customer service we will definitely frequent this restaurant. Bravo!! read more

From the moment we entered until we left impeccable service. Celebrated our anniversary. The hostess, server who took drink order, and our waiter all wished us a happy anniversary. Attentive service, but not intrusive. No problem changing the side dish on our entrees to another option. After the meal, the server said the restaurant wished to give us a complimentary dessert....and we could choose from four selections. 131 Main is top-notch, first-class and knows how to run a fine dining establishment. read more

This place has been the talk of town since it's opened. A lot of people love it and some people don't. I've been twice now and I can say it is THAT good. The service is some of the best you I've had in the Sarasota area. Everyone is assigned a designated job and they all kill it. Super friendly, fast and just overall a well oiled machine. The food... (is expensive) but SO GOOD. The cornbread with honey was just the perfect start... not dry at all and really solid. I saw online everyone recommending the prime rib sandwich and ribs so obviously got those. Both delicious. Ribs fell off the bone and had a great flavor. The prime rib sandwich is the star for me though. Perfectly shaved prime rib, the horseradish sauce is the perfect spice and the broth to dip just seals the deal. The French fries are addicting and I'm telling you ask for a side of honey mustard it is some of the best I've ever had. They also have this salty lime lager on tap (I keep forgetting the name) it's probably one of the most refreshing beers I've had in a while. Just if you haven't been sure if you want to try it just go. It's so good... just a little pricey but I mean for the quality you are getting and the service it's 100% worth it. read more

After looking forward to visiting this restaurant for months, my father came to town from Nashville with uncle from Orlando and their wives. My wife and I were going to celebrate our new born baby with my family. I called ahead and tried to get a reservation for 7:30 for a party of 7. They told me they had no reservations available, but if we came in, they could accommodate us as a walk-in. When I arrived, my uncle was already at the bar with his wife, awaiting us. They said that they had been told that as soon as the table became available, they would be informed. I then went to the host stand to confirm this information when the manager Jake approached me and said that they could not accommodate us at all. He said that they already had three booths that were full of people, enjoying their meals and another booth that could accommodate seven but was reserved and that they absolutely could not accommodate us. He didn't say that there would be a wait or the possibility of a table at anytime and he didn't offer any type of help. He just flat out told us there's nothing we can do for you at all. He said as you can see there's people enjoying their meals and so you can't eat here. he did not even apologize. It was Jake's way of telling us that seemed very unhelpful and almost with an attitude that he didn't want us to be there. Which caught me very of guard seeing as how we were dressed well and ready for a nice family outing. Anyways we ended up at Bar Italia which treated us great and had amazing food. In conclusion Jake is terrible. Don't think Ill try again at 131 main. read more

Everything we had was great! Highly suggest this place. Service was awesome too! They took great care of us.

A wonderful addition to our collection of great restaurants in Lakewood Ranch. First class staffing and quality foods make this a must.

Our first time here. We ate at the bar. The staff is very pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. Like a well oiled machine. Our food was great. Had the cornbread appetizer It was great. I had the double pork chop w mashed potatoes, she had the cedar planked salmon. Both were fantastic and would definitely return to this place and reorder. By the way the old fashion drinks read more

In an area where establishments throw out catchy buzz words and premium pricing, our experience at 131 Main seemed to support the value prop better than others in the area. Putting aside any limited time-based promotions (eg, happy hour), the service and quality during our meal supported the price point. May not be a daily consideration, but a great experience for special occasions, entertaining guests, or an out-of-the-ordinary meal. read more

Fantastic new restaurant! We recently had dinner at 131 and it is one of the best restaurants in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. Prices are reasonable, decor is outstanding and the food is amazing. Our server, Morgan was the best-so attentive and accommodating! Each one of our entrees were excellent. Our table had the medallions of beef, red snapper, salmon and the prime rib sandwich. Everyone was more than happy with their selection. A complimentary dessert for the birthday girl was also outstanding! It was a brownie ice cream dessert. Highly recommend 131 Main! read more
