Since I am not a bourbon drinker I opted for a lemon drop martini. The bartender was not friendly but brought our drinks quickly. This was a really good lemon drop. A little tart, but with the sugared rim, it was perfect. The atmosphere is rustic, with deer antler chandeliers and lots of wood everywhere. The privacy screens between the tables was a nice touch for a more private conversation. We waited 10 minutes for a server and she came and took our drink order and brought us water. Only 2 drinks at this time for the 4 of us. The menu is typical of a steakhouse and there was a page of daily specials. We waited 20 minutes for those 2 drinks and for the server to come back and take our food order. Totally ridiculous. I settled on the salmon special and I shared an order of asparagus with my husband. While waiting, they brought a basket of small, warm rolls with 2 different butters. My friends ordered an appetizer which came quickly. My husband's soup didn't arrive until we flagged down the server. Pretty sure she forgot it. Our meals all arrived at the same time and everything was hot. My salmon dish was very good. The sauce with the fruits on the side were perfect and the jasmine rice was tasty. The asparagus was plentiful and grilled well. If not for the poor service throughout our time here, this would be a 5 star review.

We celebrated a wonderful birthday dinner here…read more They start you off with complimentary bread basket - the warm raisins walnut bread was my favorite with the butter. We shared everything and the waitress was so helpful in the dish order to come out. Both the seasonal and Caesar salads were really good, and the octopus appetizer was a step above most places with its tender meat and slightly sweet sauce. The 40 oz tomahawk deal was delicious and came with the 2 salads and 2 sides. We got the Brussel sprouts (I really enjoyed this but it got a little too salty as I kept eating it) and the caramelized sweet potatoes (much too sweet for our taste but still tasty). It also comes with a grilled onion and homemade sauce that was a nice complement. The red snapper was good but the chilesan sea bass on risotto outshine it. Both the bass itself (so tender) and the risotto (delicious use of lobster and creaminess) shined through. They surprised us with a complimentary chocolate cake for the birthday girl. It was a little dry but not bad. We also got a key lime tart to share and it comes with a towering meringue. Again, a little too sweet for our liking but flavor was good. Lastly, I got the honey keeper mocktail which was the best drink of the bunch. My companions got the cucumber and strawberry basil lemonade cooler but both were too sweet. Another got the Bella basil - be aware, it is quite heavy with the Tequila. All in all, a fantastic dinner and the service was impeccable. There is complimentary valet so don't forget a cash tip.

Our waiter was definitely pandering to the locals at the tables around us, which was understandable. Most people were here for celebrations but we were just there to try out a new place. The atmosphere is beautiful and has that elevated, resort feel you'd expect from a restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton. The bartender really went out of his way to create something unique based on what I was craving. I wanted something salty and savory, but didn't want another extra-dirty martini or a Bloody Mary. He took the challenge and came up with something that was absolutely on point! Overall, it was a really enjoyable birthday experience. Jack Dusty is definitely a spot worth checking out, especially if you're looking for a nice dinner and drinks in a beautiful setting.

We ordered the signature bread which was soft, chewy and unique compared to your typical restaurant bread, somewhat of an interesting cornbread. I ordered the fish tacos which were very good, the fish was crispy on the outside and thick meaty fish on the inside, we also ordered a mahi mahi fish sandwich with a nice ciabatta bread and a decent piece of mahi placed on some arugula, we had fries with both and they were thick and had a nice crunchy coating on the outside. After the Miami Open rained out for us the other day, we arrived to find a lone customer at the bar. I went in and asked for the tennis channel, but the bartender replied, "he just asked for March Madness." Reportedly, they installed the TV a month ago. It seems this year, the Miami Open just isn't happening for me. Oh well, little Missy, better luck next time. Edit: the bar tender did change to tennis after the gent left, thank you.

Our server was quick to introduce himself and take our drink orders. The menu is a bit limited, which makes sense for the size of restaurant, but the choices are good. We were given some nice warm bread with butter, which was very good. Although there were lots of good appetizers and soup and salads, my appetite isn't huge so I settled on the shrimp and half lobster tail scampi. My entree arrived timely and looked amazing. Everything was hot and I couldn't wait to dig in. The lobster and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauce was exceptional. I totally enjoyed my meal. Our server was wonderful. He checked on us often, but was not intrusive. I would definitely return.

Recently, I was invited to a company lunch last week with my law firm and I politely declined because of that lack of care. The rub: Jennifer was kind and full of grace while we had issues with our meal. The food was sub par unfortunately and did not taste great. We picked this restaurant for the great reviews and wanted to celebrate our anniversary but Duval's disappointed. The Calamari was not fresh, it was very chewy and every piece was tough as boots. It was difficult to eat as an appetizer. My girls steak was ordered medium rare, looked like it was more medium when cut into. It certainly needed the demi glaze because it was not seasoned at all, flavorless and a very dry filet. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. Half a tail and somehow I swallowed a piece of shell that was mixed into the pasta and got lodged in my throat. All in all, disappointed with the food. We continued to eat as it was the only resource we had and wanted to not let it spoil the night. The best thing was our server and the Bonanza cab.

The menu is extensive, with plenty of options to suit a variety of tastes. It took me a while to decide, but I ultimately ordered the yellowfin tuna tartare, and it was the right choice. The tuna was exceptionally fresh, beautifully presented, and balanced with flavors that complemented rather than overwhelmed the fish. As we waited for our entrées, Chris brought over warm bread as well as smoked salmon pâté. It was an unexpected touch that made the experience feel even more welcoming and gave us something delicious to enjoy while we waited. Although we were seated in the bar area, the atmosphere was comfortable and conversational. The noise level was just right--not so quiet that you felt like you had to whisper, but not so loud that it distracted from the meal. From the warm welcome to the attentive service and thoughtfully prepared food, this was an excellent dining experience. Chris did a fantastic job juggling both the bar and his tables without missing a beat, and his hospitality left a lasting impression. We'd happily return.

We were hoping she might take the appetizer off the bill. Its not an inexpensive place, you know. Her response was, you should have told me earlier. We more or less dropped the subject. I saw her most likely explaining the situation to the manager, showing him the check. Well, he did nothing...the check was presented in full. Manager didn't come over to express regret or ask why we were less than pleased about the meal, or even offer a dessert. Food has been good for a long time here and most of our meals were superlative. They've lost long time customers. We'll never step foot in there again, and business was really scarce that evening. My wife dined there for years and years and loved Robert who was manager/host. He saw her kids grow up, every Friday for dinner. She is done with the Crab N Fin. I am too. We were really looking forward to this dinner, mind you the kitchen is good. This new management is not.

Oof--this one was disappointing because I was really looking forward to dinner here…read more Our party had a reservation, and the hostess was warm and welcoming, seating us promptly upon arrival. Our server was a peach from the start. When my husband asked for recommendations, she shared her favorites and why she liked them, and he ended up ordering one of her suggestions. I had already looked over the menu earlier that day and had decided on the lobster roll. I let our server know that I can't have chives and asked if they could simply be left off. She assured me it wouldn't be a problem. When our food arrived, it was immediately obvious that my lobster roll contained chives and/or green onions. I asked the food runner, who wasn't sure and said he'd go get our server. She came over, confirmed the mistake, and took the dish back without hesitation. No big deal- mistakes happen. A few minutes later, she returned to explain that the lobster mixture is actually pre-made with the chives already mixed in, so they couldn't be removed. She brought me another menu, and since everyone else was well into eating at this point, I ordered a burger, figuring it would be a quick replacement. Once again, I specifically asked that there be no onions or chives. The same food runner brought out my burger, and as soon as he set it down, my sister-in-law pointed out what looked like baked onions on the bun. He didn't say anything to that comment and I figured I'd wait to ask the server. But by that point, I was pretty frustrated and hungry, so I scraped off the top half of the bun and ate about a quarter of the burger. Everyone else had already finished their meals, and I was honestly just ready to call it a night. My husband ended up eating the half of the burger that hadn't been scraped apart and said it tasted fine. What surprised me most was the lack of any gesture to make things right. At a restaurant with this price point and atmosphere, I would have expected my glass of wine to be comped or even a complimentary dessert. Neither happened. Our server remained kind and apologetic throughout the evening, and I don't fault her personally, but there is definitely à la k of awareness of communication that happened. Hopefully it was a one off. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me disappointed.
