CW Prime was outstanding. We came in as a bachelor party group of six for dinner and pretty much went all-in -- steaks, wine, sides, the whole thing. The quality of the beef was exceptional, particularly the enormous bone-in cut we shared, which was cooked exactly right and was genuinely one of the better steaks I've had in a long time. The bachelor was also gifted a beautiful cut of Wagyu, which was a very nice touch. The service matched the food: polished and attentive without hovering, and they handled a table of six without missing a beat. Our sommelier was lovely -- available when we needed her, and when the group inevitably started chatting with her, she was gracious and happy to engage rather than making the service feel stiff or overly formal. Special credit to the bartender as well. I gave him some fairly specific instructions for a gin cocktail built around Botanist, peach, vanilla and lemon. They apparently had to scrounge up the peach, and he executed the whole thing perfectly. I also appreciated the several ginger ales that followed after I perhaps enjoyed his work a little too enthusiastically. The room itself is beautiful: warm, comfortable and upscale without feeling overly formal. It is certainly not an inexpensive dinner, but this is one of those places where the experience actually justified the bill. Beautiful restaurant with an impressive build-out and upscale atmosphere, but unfortunately the experience does not match the premium prices. My wife is vegetarian and the manager did come out to help accommodate her, which we appreciated. Several appetizers were extremely salty. The beans had to be sent back, and both the tartare and sautéed mushrooms were also heavily salted. I ordered the Black Hawk ribeye and asked for medium rare plus to allow the fat to render. It arrived well done, very thin, and not tender. The quality and thickness were disappointing for a steakhouse at this price level. A friend ordered Pittsburgh rare and his steak also appeared overcooked inside. There were a few highlights. The house bread was excellent with a light buttery texture somewhere between a croissant and a traditional roll. The A5 Wagyu was outstanding. The cocktails were solid and the smoky Old Fashioned was excellent. Dessert was a smoked s'mores that unfortunately had a noticeable butane flavor from the torching process. Given the very high prices, I would expect much better execution. After four visits, three have been disappointing, so I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

CW Prime at The St. Regis Longboat Key was one of the finest dining experiences I've had in a long time. Every aspect of the evening exceeded expectations, from the food to the service to the wine program. Our server, Wanda, was truly exceptional. One member of our party has a severe nut allergy, and Wanda went above and beyond to ensure every dish was safe. She carefully checked ingredients, proactively communicated with the kitchen, and even suggested serving one dish with the sauce on the side to eliminate any concern. It never felt like an inconvenience to her. Instead, it was clear she genuinely cared that we had a wonderful, worry-free evening. She also took the time to get to know us, made thoughtful recommendations throughout the meal, and created such a warm, personal experience. The food was outstanding. The porterhouse special was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, beautifully dry-aged, incredibly tender, and packed with rich beef flavor. We also ordered the Black Hawk Ribeye (not the Prime Ribeye), and it was phenomenal. It had exceptional flavor while remaining surprisingly lean for a ribeye, proving you don't need excessive fat to create an unforgettable steak. The wine service was equally impressive. Jasmine, the sommelier, took the time to learn our preferences and our budget before making a recommendation that paired perfectly with dinner. Later in the evening, she returned simply to share another wine from a different region with a similar profile because she thought we'd enjoy learning about it. That level of passion, knowledge, and personal attention is rare and made the experience even more memorable. Dessert was the perfect ending. We tried every dessert and each one was outstanding. The Basque cheesecake was creamy and beautifully balanced, easily among the best I've had. The Keys Coconut dessert was light, refreshing, and absolutely delightful. The Smoked S'Mores was not only delicious but playful, bringing back childhood memories while delivering sophisticated flavors. And the CW Prime Apple Pie was simply incredible, warm, comforting, and the perfect finish to an unforgettable meal. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in there. It was very small space though. The dining room was Mid-century modern decor. Our waiter, Justin, was knowledgeable, friendly, and had good recommendations. It was hard for us to get a last minute reservation but we made it in. Was so worth it. The food was exceptionally good. But the service was even better! I wasn't even hungry but I cleaned up my spaghetti with truffles, side of lobster tails of course, with no problem. Hubby had a dry aged cowboy which was perfectly cooked. The martini was excellent. So disappointed in my experience - I've dined here before but the service and attention to detail and accountability has gone downhill over the last two years. Food was fine, probably not worth the money but decent. Reservations at 7:15, drinks/wine were good, and then Ordered food at 7:45, salads and entrees - party of 10. I understand it might be longer than a small group but it took 1.15 hours to get salads and 2 hours to get entrees and when we approached our server and mngt it was met with a passive apology but no accountability only small excuses (the gave us two/three extra sizes to say sorry... tha we didn't need or eat). I would absolutely not suggest going here especially with a group of 6+. read more

Our first visit to this newly opened restaurant in the St Regis. Parking is valet only , $10 if validated. Credit card only. Easy peasy and staff made a great first impression. The resort is absolutely amazing, and shows what 14 years and $800 million can do. This is one of three signature restaurants in the property. The restaurant is smallish, with only 26 tables and limited bar seating. Plan and reserve ahead. The interior is beautiful and the view is spectacular. We stopped for a drink (one delicious cocktail and a glass of rose) at the bar, then headed to our table. Our friend is the sommelier here and he served as our guide and anchor. We tasted through several appetizers (all were delicious, with the lobster "doughnuts" and empanadas as standouts. The dry-aged cowgirl ribeye was perfectly cooked and the side of potatoes a perfect accompaniment. Dessert was visually amazing and it was super yummy as well. We loved our dinner and the experience. I've dined at CW Prime every evening during my stay at The St. Regis. While the food and setting are excellent, my experience tonight was disappointing and inconsistent with the level of hospitality expected at this caliber of property. When I arrived at 5:50 PM, I was informed before being seated that the bar seat I chose had a 7:30 PM reservation. I was told it would not be an issue to dine beforehand. However, at 7:04 PM--while I was still eating--the bartender began repeatedly reminding me that the reservation had arrived and that I would need to leave shortly. By 7:14 PM, I was told to vacate the seat because the party was waiting. As a physician in New Orleans and a frequent restaurant guest at high-end establishments, this fell far below the level of professionalism and grace I've come to expect in fine dining environments. Being interrupted and pressured mid-meal, despite full transparency about timing, felt dismissive and out of place for a St. Regis property. CW Prime has great potential with its cuisine and ambiance, but the service approach this evening lacked the refinement and attentiveness that distinguish true luxury hospitality. read more

Chef Drew is amazing! All of the food was delicious from the beef tartare to the Wagyu ribeye and special sides. They use unbleached flour for their croissant bread to start and even use a local French flour burger bun from Bread Bandits. The service and atmosphere were very nice as well. read more

Food is great along with service and ambience. My criticism is that the main dishes come with absolutely no sides. You have to pay extra for anything to come with it. They're definitely trying to be upscale for LBK but the food is not matching up to the vibe or the atmosphere. Some of the dishes that we got were great others were a total miss. CW Prime is a dining experience that's on par with the finest Steak houses in America. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and my rib eye steak was tender and delicious. We ordered the special crab claws as appetizers and it was a generous portion with an amazing sauce to complement it. The potatoes were unique with as they were smashed and then fried into potato fries.Definitely worth a try. The asparagus was nothing special. I probably wouldn't order them again. The wine list was limited but adequate and reasonably priced.I'm not ordering screaming eagle wine anyway.Overall a top notch dining experience! read more

The St Regis is absolutely gorgeous! the lobby bar was wonderful and we were impressed by the professional and welcoming bar tenders. CW Prime is beautiful, but the food was blah. I had looked forward to the cowgirl ribeye that I had seen online but the waiter said they no longer had that on the menu. He suggested the ribeye that replaced the cowgirl ribeye so I opted for their replacement ribeye. When my plate was placed in front of me I actually thought it was a joke, if the steak was a 1/2 inch think I'd be surprised, it looked like something that you'd get at Longhorn or Outback. The food runners need to be trained correctly on serving and clearing as both were done incorrectly. Maybe we will try at some point down the road but it was very expensive to be just mediocre, sad. read more

I have eaten there three times now. The steak is the best I ever had. They use a special charcoal grill and the flavor was amazing. The creamed corn was the best ever. The pricing is what you would expect from a high end restaurant with indulging ambiance. I will certainly come often. read more
