Espresso martini

Outstanding Italian! Service was wonderful- attentive and social. The food was excellent. Had the prosciutto, melon and burrata. So tasty- the melon was ripe and perfect with the prosciutt and cheese. Our drinks were enjoyed by all- some wine and martinis. Smooth and tasty. We all chose pasta for tonight's meal- Special was gnocchi with sausage and broccolini. We also dined on gnocchi and Short rib, linguine w/bolognese, and mushroom ravs. The gnocchi were light, and just wonderful. Reminded us of home. The mushroom ravs- were so perfect in a rich cream sauce. The bread served at table was so refreshingly fresh and delish- not some frozen roll...! Served with olive oil and olive tapenade. Desserts- were shared- pistachio tartufo, limoncello cake, and mousse cake. Each tasty and enjoyed- sweet, but not overly- tartufo refreshing. Also had espresso with dessert- delish. Thank you for such a wonderful evening with family. We will be back.

Ravioli Funghi

We went for Valentines Day to support this recently reopened business on St. Armand's Circle in Sarasota. The service was remarkably fast (almost too fast!). We sat outside and there was a singer which added to the romantic atmosphere. Indoors was quite crowded. The house wine was good ($15!), the house salad was delicious, but unfortunately we were not pleased with our meals. I had Ravioli Funghi which was quite dry, and my husband had what in most restaurants is his regular order and favorite meal, Fettuccine Bolognese, but it was basically without flavor. A disappointment. I am hoping the chef can turn things around so they can be super successful! In the meantime I can't give them any more than three stars.

Loved the original restaurant and love the "new" restaurant ran by the original owners son. The restaurant had to get a redo after hurricane damage but it's just as delicious as ever. A family favorite.

We were impressed with her recommendations. She made us feel very welcome, which added to our fantastic meal. We enjoyed all of the appetizers - spanakopita, grilled octopus, spicy fries with feta, and dolmades. All were delicious, however, my favorites were the dolmades and grilled octopus. For dinner, we ordered the beet and feta salad and open face lamb and chicken pita. Absolutely delicious! To end our meal, we shared the carrot cake with pecans and cranberries. The combination was out of this world. Looking forward to dining here again. Thank you for the great meal and service.

There was a good amount of cheese curds and the gravy with the FF's were perfect. Truffle Burrata, also very good the black garlic is strong but it worked nicely with the dish. A large serving. My spouse loves mushrooms. I like them but it was still really good. Cubed yellow fin tuna: Also a very large portion and good flavour but it could have gone without the tomatos (and I love tomato's) And perhaps served with a rice cup or something to scoop it up. Everything is diced up so it makes it kind of messy to eat. We got a burger to split. we didn't order a side but the waiter I guess put them in anyhow. The FF without the poutine are just ok. The burger on the other hand was really good and cooked perfectly. We split everything and took home left overs, as it was a lot of food. We shared the butterscotch gelato and had coffee to go with it. The service is good, The athompshere is pleasant. We will definitely be back to try some of the other items. I'm not a greek fan so I wouldn't touch those but my husband will. :)

I got the crab cake and chose sweet potato fries as my side. The crab cake was so very good, nice big pieces of crab with delicious sauce/seasoning holding it together. It was nicely breaded, like just the right amount so as to not take away from the deliciousness of the crab, and cooked perfectly. Sweet potatoes are a go to for me, they were great! Finished off with the homemade Oreo ice cream, which was a great end to the meal, tasty and comforting and a generous portion! Overall a great experience, with a nice clean inviting atmosphere and excellent service! Would love to visit again!

Valentines 2026…read more First time at Connors and it didn't disappoint. He, Gary, had the Prime Rib with Garlic Mash and side salad. I had the petit filet, 6 oz, with lobster bisque and asparagus. Connors did not disappoint. My filet was a perfect medium rare with a fantastic char. Let's face it we can get such a fantastic char on our home Weber without over cooking it. Those professional grills are wonderful. Gary's prime rib was perfectly medium rare as well. Gary enjoyed a few Stella's and I enjoyed a red sangria. Finished our meal with strawberry icecream that we shared. The restaurant is configured so that privacy for those intimate meals as there are numerous cozy booths. Service was excellent with our server checking back to see if everything was delicious and asking if we needed anything. Best part, they do take reservation. Sorry, no photos. I prefer to concentrate on our meal and each other.

I love Dry Dock Waterfront Grill and I always visit when I am in the Sarasota area. Dry Dock is always busy so I am also sure to make a reservation in advance using Open Table. Typically we sit inside but I know the back patio is popular too. If your timing and patience is perfect, you can also get a nice a nice window seat in the dining room that has sweeping views of Sarasota Bay. The inside atmosphere is bright and airy and although airy often translates to loud, Dry Dock thoughtfully put noise dampening panels on the ceiling. As far as food, I don't think you can go wrong. I always get something with grouper whether it be an entree, sandwich or tacos. On my most recent visit I got the grouper filet with coconut shrimp because I had originally been eyeing up the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Ultimately, we decided to get the rock crab claws for an appetizer which were good but more work than I planned even though they were pre-cracked. I felt like a Neanderthal trying to eat those crab claws in such a nice restaurant. No offense to the Neanderthals, of course! I have no idea what my husband had as it disappeared. After entrees, apps and bread, we were too stuffed for dessert. I think our server was Cari and she was awesome! Attentive, friendly, funny and quite possibly a mind reader and magician. She saw the hanger in my eyes and made bread magically appear. I hope I got her name correct because she was superb! Shout out to all of the great staff members at Dry Dock -we've never had a bad experience. I love Dry Dock and it will forever stay in my Sarasota rotation.

I was seated facing a wall so I didn't get a good long look at my surroundings but between what I did see and looking at photos posted on Yelp the theme seems to be chickens. Our server was friendly and available to answer any questions as we spent time looking over the menu. I settled on The Hitman, a double patty smashed burger with American cheese, hen sauce, fried mozzarella, Nueske's bacon, with a side of garlic parm fries. It isn't listed on the online menu but there is a note the menu changes frequently so it may not match the day's offering. Let me start by saying that two of the people at my table got salads and were disappointed that there was too much lettuce and too little other stuff. With that out of the way, let me talk about The Hitman, which I loved. What is Nueske bacon? This is a special smoked flavorful bacon made by the Nueske family. Fork & Hen uses thick cut, and there were two slices on my burger. My burger towered so high there was no hope of picking it up, so I attacked it with knife and fork. Being made with Focaccia bread certainly added to the height, but so did a thick block of mozzzrella cheese. The cheese, melted on the inside and crispy on the outside, was substantial. I would be careful biting into a hot block of melted cheese, think pizza mouth. In my photo I broke into one corner to show that is cheese, so much cheese. The burger patty part topped with American cheese was by itself great, like you might find at a home cookout or Smashburgers. Other toppings were there but for me this was meat and a lot of cheese. And as much bread as you want. I loved my surprising good cheeseburger.
