We sat outside and this was taken through the window just so you could see the inside of the restaurant

We went to this place again for dinner last night. We haven't been there in a year cause we live in Chicago, but this was our first dinner we had in Sarasota. We had the shrimp with the linguine in the squid sauce. It was better than good. the bread they give you is wonderful with the olive spread and we shared their house salad and it was great and we topped it all off with a piece of chocolate cake and coffee this is a feast. It isn't a meal. She's an easy five star over and over and over again.

We went twice this week! Sat outside both times. Nice wine selection and the service is spot on. Great variety on the menu.

Super cute Italian spot downtown! The menu was huge. I got the penne sorrentina, which was decent. Service was kind of slow, but we had a really large party so they accommodated us pretty well.

Went here over the weekend with my son. It was about 6 in evening, but we were able to sneak a table outside which I feel is the best place to be when visiting Cafe Epicure, cozy city feel as long as it's not above 80%. This is about the fifth time I've eaten here over the last couple of years. The lasagna and eggplant app might be my 2 favorite things to order when visiting along with a nice glass of Chianti. We had a nice buratta pizza and some calamari which were both pretty decent. I do enjoy their pizzas nice and thin, nice to share these items at the table. The espresso is on point and nice to finish the meal with this liquid gold. The only criticism is the bread is usually a little on the harder side, but not enough to keep me away. Service was decent, sometimes the waiter or waitress might stay away for a bit but not to the point of complaining. Over all we do like eating here and I will return. Food 8.0 Atmosphere 8.0 Service 7.5

I accidentally ran into this place walking around like Dora. We were super early so it was packed at all. Quick in and out service. And big shout out to Letty she was awesome !! I had two kids wanted 2 different things and she was patient and answered any and all questions! Even recommend a great drink for me The VALENTINO! And we ate the Rigatoni 4 Formaggi and ate it before we could even get a picture lol

    Seafood salad

Cafe Epiciure, located in downtown Sarasota, is THE place for seafood salad. This dish is not really a salad. It's primarily tender and fresh mussels, shrimp, octopus and calamari drizzled with olive oil and herbs. The seafood is artfully presented with a slice of endive, a few celery slices for crunch, a couple of arugula leaves and a tomato wedge. The minimal "salad" really helps the seafood stand out. Perfection! I also enjoyed the salsiccia pizza: sausage, tomato, and mozzarella cheese on a soft, chewy, thin crust. Sitting outside in the sunshine, attentive service, wonderful food makes Epicure a 5/5.

Very sad they got rid of the seafood ravioli. It was one of the best dishes that they had.

We didn't take any pictures (which should tell you how fast we dove in), but here's the breakdown: 3 lobster ravioli (including me) 1 truffle ravioli 1 clams and linguine 1 chicken parm And I'm not exaggerating when I say we didn't speak to each other until our plates were cleared. Total silence. Just pure focus. I'm not usually a truffle fan, but when I tried my wife's truffle ravioli, I immediately understood the hype. It wasn't incredible rich (helped me not feel like I needed to be wheeled out afterwards), balanced, and packed with flavor without being overpowering. I genuinely wanted to trade plates. My lobster ravioli was perfect. Not overly heavy, not drowning in sauce just loaded with flavor and cooked exactly right. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone going. The clams and linguine and the chicken parm both got rave reviews from the table too. No weak links anywhere. Our server was kind, attentive, and quick without rushing us. She made the experience even better and handled a busy night like a pro. Pro tip: Make a reservation. We booked on OpenTable and were seated right away on what looked like a packed night. Also, if you park next door like we did pay the meter. Trust me. We learned that lesson the hard way on this trip. If you're in Siesta Key and craving authentic, high-quality Italian, Café Gabbiano is a must. We'll definitely be back.

I was so happy that they were open until midnight because I needed a reservation for after 10PM. They accommodated my reservation for 2 at 10:30PM and everything was great. Our server, Zach, was knowledgeable and attentive. He made sure we were taken care of and was on it. The portions here are very good. The bread is nice and crisp to start. The appetizer mussels were a LARGE portion, but luckily I didn't mind taking them home as leftovers. They were incredibly delicious and fresh. The tuna dish was tasty with a nice kick. The chef's social ravioli was really good, not something I'd typically order but it was worth it. The music here was a good volume and the vibes were nice. They had a really nice piano, would've loved to have someone playing on this night, that would've really set the standard here. Overall, a very nice restaurant. If I'm ever back in the area I'd certainly return.
