Looking for something good and found this place. Had the Margarita Rustica pizza and a Caesar salad. It was yummy!! Thin crust and sprinkled fresh basil - delish!! read more

Food was great, service was even better. I was there this past summer and our waitress was a college student (Eugene, if I remember correctly), and the bus boy/helper was from Maine. Both of them kept us entertained throughout the meal. Great meal and stand up comedy....what more can you ask? I'll definitely go back even though I doubt our servers will still be there. read more

Good food, just ok portion sizes for the price. Waiter was ok but not great. Was $120 for 4 people. I thought the oysters were good but a local that has had many oysters from different places said they were the worst oysters he's ever had. Will come back and maybe try pizza since it looked pretty good. read more

Very good pizza--we had the meat lovers and it had a generous and tasty combination of several sausages and pepperoni. They have an excellent wine list for a place this size and very reasonably priced. It was a weeknight and the place was hopping with locals and tourists. We saw a number of excellent looking dishes come out of the kitchen. Definitely will be back! read more

What a wonderful restaurant we stumbled upon! Busy & short staffed, but they did their best with a smile. The food was fresh & beautifully prepared. Highly recommend. read more

Our drive around Oregon led us into the lovely town of Florence. After a long day traveling a much needed top meal was required. Our hotel recommended RestoBar. So as we walked down the cute town centre we had to wait 15 minutes for a table (as this place was happily busy). For 5 of us we had a great size table. Our server was really happy, pleasant and great to communicate with, including suggestions on the menu. The parents chose to share a pizza which was a decent size for two! Don't get one each! My little brother, 12 (picky on food) chose the lasagna and he demolished it! Our starter which came out late, only due to our late arrival as they closed at 9 and we arrived at 8 was the Ahi Tuna! Wow! Sushi lovers as we are they gave this dish a wonderful twist with the fresh flavor of fish, slightly fried on the outside, and even my 12 year old brother liked it My pasta seafood dish was delicious, every bite was beautiful. Plenty of flavor and once again fresh fish Beer in tap was a decent size selection, the pale ale choice was bang on! read more

I do not recommend this restaurant because they will steal from you if they can. The food and atmosphere is not my main concern in this review. I left a tip on the table because I want the server to know what I thought of the service and to get the money right away. I left right at 15%. Good service not great. When I got home and reconciled my bill someone had added another tip to my credit card. That is stealing. Period. read more

Had the veggie veggie pizza and asked for no cheese to make it vegan friendly and they were very accommodating the back patio is cute but pretty warm due to no ventilation the service was pretty slow but the food was delicious read more

This place was amazing. My wife didn't want pizza but the kids did so we figured with the variety on the menu everyone would be happy. I had the special which was a filet mignon and it was amazing. One of the best filets I've had. Four of my kids had pizza and each of them were very good. My wife had a salad with prawns and said it was fantastic. One of the best meals we've had in a long time. I'll definitely come back next time we're in town. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating as well. read more

Day trip to Florence and we had heard good things about this restaurant so decided to take the kiddos in to try it out. Kids each ordered pizza "their way" (got to pick sauce, cheese type & toppings, they were excited!) and we had two seafood dishes off the menu. Pasta was good, seafood tasted fresh and sauce was a little bland but overall not bad! Salmon dish was to die for and the drinks were spot on! read more

Nice menu, and some great choices for vegetarians. The food misses the mark, though. Scampi has no garlic and lacked flavor. Ahi tuna was seared perfectly and tasty, but on salad of basically spring mix lettuce right from the Safeway bag. Drinks were well done. read more

Pesto burger was great. It is located across from the river. There where a number of flies in the restaurant when I was there not sure why. I went to the bathroom and it was clean. read more

Food was ok, service pretty good, drinks were fast, so why the 1 star? The prices in relation to the portion. A Cobb salad for $15 that is the size of a side salad at any other restaurant and the waitress agrees, saying how it's frustrating to serve it. A kids spaghetti where the meatballs are listed as an option, then $5 gets tacked on to the$6 already charged for the half cup of noodles. The pizzas looked good, but we didn't order one so I can't comment on those. My oldest did get a calzone that he said was good, but again, was overpriced for the size. read more

Some things I like about this place others not so much. Dined with my husband tonight he got the special "blackened steak". Over cooked and a bit tough I thought. Dim the lights a bit please hurting my eyes. Server was nice enough. We will try the pizza next time. read more

1285 Restobar - The front - Italian Near Me - Florence, Oregon

Not as good as I had hoped. We started with the caprese salad, which was quite good, no complaints. Took too long for drinks to arrive, which by itself, would have been fine. Server apologized, but said it's crazy busy this time of year and things just take longer. Ok, I suppose, but servers should not make excuses. We next ordered a Caesar salad to share among the four of us, which included our kids. Requested light dressing. The salad took forever. Next thing we knew, we had been there an hour. When it finally came, the dressing was the opposite of light. It was drowning. We advised the server. She offered to get us a new salad. We said ok, but it can't take a long time again. She quickly returned with a salad she said they added romaine to to thin out the dressing. She said, "hope that wasn't too long." Seemed more sarcastic than anything. We didn't believe it was a sincere concern of hers. And adding lettuce didn't work, still had gobs of dressing. Main courses came timely. Steamed clams were good, so was kids pizza. Calzone was ok, but veggies inside were close to raw. Needed more time to cook them through. I had "crab crusted" wild salmon with cream caper sauce and shrimp. A few problems there. First, I didn't taste or see any crab. Second, the wild salmon was good, but more cooked through than wild salmon should be. Third, the salmon was described as "with shrimp." There were a handful of tiny bay shrimp in the caper sauce. I thought the menu was misleading in its description of the dish. As I was eating, heard our server tell table behind us not to be fooled, it wasn't with prawns, just some bay shrimp. Good to know. read more

Great pizza, delicious steamer clams, yummy crab melt and crisp salads! Second time here and keep coming back.

Love the pizza here! We like to get a few and share them to try new ones. The atmosphere is fun too. Service is always good.

The pizza is really great. My favorite is the Greek pizza but my daughter always gets the margarita.

Awesome restaurant, awesome atmosphere, awesome service, awesome food! Kids had clam chowder, loved it. Wife had Parmesan encrusted halibut with garden salad and house vinegarette, LOVED IT! She almost embarrassed me and used her straw on the leftover dressing she liked it so much. I had the pepperoni pizza, it's very thin crust, I give it 6/10, only due to having some incredibly good pizza in my life...it was good though, just lacked a little in the flavor profile. Again, friendly staff, it's a very laid back place, pretend you're in Italy when you're here and you won't get impatient if you have to wait! read more

Good ambiance- visited in January during the off season and the place was full of locals. Beer prices were good, the drink special was $9 but it was straight alcohol so it was a decent price for what we got. I ordered the special, ribs. They were fine but it was clearly a case of the restaurant just having extra stock to get rid of. My husband ordered herb encrusted halibut and it was amaaaaaazing. The salad arrived before the main dish and was outstanding. Ordered creme brûlée and it was a very generous size but they should have let the brûlée set up for a minute or two longer so it would crack upon arrival at the table. The creme part of the brûlée was fine, I'm used to Sweet Life in Eugene and I prefer their version. Overall I loved the place. I would recommend sticking with the seafood specialities tho. read more

We got a pizza for take-out on our first night in Florence. Although the restaurant looks appealing, the pizza was anything but. It's possible a Hawaiian pizza isn't their specialty, however, this doesn't explain the crust, which was more akin to Little Caesars than a $22 pizza. In addition the the $22 listed price, when picking up the pizza, they included an extra $1 for the pizza box. The additional charge was not mentioned before the order was placed, nor was it included on the menu. The box was much too large for the pizza, and consequently, when I looked at the pizza in the restaurant, it had already slid around and crumpled up. The pizza was obviously not checked before it was given to us. In addition to the under-cooked, flavorless crust, the Canadian bacon and pineapple were not fresh. All in all, this was the worst $22 pizza and experience I've had in as long as I can remember. read more

This was our first time to Florence, and my family and I enjoyed our meal very much at Risto Bar. The pizza was baked to perfection, and came out piping hot! The Lasagna and Manicotti Florentine were full of flavor without being overwhelming or too rich. All the above dishes are highly recommended!!! The hospitality was delightful and the fun banter between the kitchen staff and the front of house staff is great! read more

Great food the chicken ceaser sandwich is a must have and their pizza is also really good I would have given them 5 stars buy the last few times we have gone there it seemed like the chef has given up. Went back for dinner Saturday night. Couldn't wait for the next visit. Ciopino was spot on with a light kick to it. My wife had the seafood pasta. And ask for the special "pistachio" drink. It will sneak up on you. This has now made it into our top 10 favorites. read more

I had a terrible experience at 1285 Restobar. We sat on the back patio, which was very nice. We ordered our food (although it was hard to find anything on the menu that wasn't overpriced) and waited. The food came very quickly and, truth be told, was fantastic. Unfortunately, while we were eating, a large family entered with two large dogs. Normally, this wouldn't bother me, but one of the dogs was very loud and aggressive. My mother went to use the restroom, and on the way back, the dog tried to jump on her. While we were eating, the dog was whining and pulling on its leash. We told an employee that we were uncomfortable sitting next to the large, aggressive dogs, but the employee (and later the management) said that the establishment was dog-friendly, which I was fine with, but the manager did not see any problem with a large, aggressive dog trying to jump on people while they are enjoying their family meal. I most certainly will not be returning, which is a shame, because the food was actually very good. read more

We travel to Florence every year and having finally bought our retirement home here, we have been making a point of trying different restaurants every summer. Restobar has always had a line so this is one of the last restaurants we tried and after reading all the reviews, and knowing the other restaurants available in town, I have to say I was very disappointed. The food was fine, however, our Pizza took over an hour to come after ordering (an hour and 16 minutes to be precise). We had also ordered appetizers and drinks. So here is what happened: one person's dinner (Ahi) came out at the same time as one of the appetizers instead of with every one else's dinner. So 6 of us got to watch her eat her dinner and then when finished, she got to watch us for the next hour while we waited to get our dinner. Two of seven drinks were wrong (no one ordered a root beer but that's what we got) and one of the two appetizers (garlic bread) never arrived at all. When we reminded the waitress about the missing appetizer, she suggested we forego it altogether since the pizza was due to come out "any moment". We didn't forego it because we were madly starving by then but alas, it didn't come out for another 15-20 minutes, along with the pizza (not quite "any moment"). Fortunately, we are a generally happy group and had been able to entertain ourselves with lively conversation which came to an abrupt end when another waiter came along and told us that a group is coming in and would we finish up please. REALLY?????? We hadn't even finished our desert! And the pizza was MORE THAN A FULL HOUR LATE in coming!! Two tables that had been seated at the same time as us had ordered, received their food (not pizza), eaten and left BEFORE WE EVEN GOT THE 2nd APPETIZER!! So...in summary, the pizza is more gourmet-ish than your average Caesar's, the garlic bread was good BUT THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. Our waitress bumbled with drinks and forgetting the appetitzer but these are forgiveable. Being asked to hurry along to make room for another diner when it took almost an hour and a half to get our food is ridiculous! That waiter should be fired (short hair, short beard). We have at least 20 sets of friends and family that visit us here in our vacation home every year- Restobar is a restaurant we will tell then to avoid. read more

If you're near Florence don't miss this place for an awesome meal! I had the fried Oysters and asked for them well-done and they were cooked to perfection. They came with a portion of pasta with marinara sc. again, just perfect! Greek Pizza came with a crispy crust and lots of veggies. We got salads to round out the meal. 2 of us couldn't finish the pizza! The table also tried their Clam Chowder Florentine. We have been doing chowder tastings while in Florence and the 4 of us rated this chowder No. 1 out of 5 we tried. It was full of clams, just enough potatoes and a fabulous flavor. Check it out! We will return again soon. Kudos for the great service and chefs who know how to be chefs, especially the one who cooked my oysters! read more

We ate here again and it didn't disappoint. All four of us had the Parmesan encrusted halibut, which was delicious. The only weird thing was that the portions were all vastly different sizes, with the guys getting the smallest portions. read more

This place was awesome. I went with my parents while we stayed in Florence. The steamer clam appetizer was really good but the best part of my meal was the crab encrusted coho salmon which was the best type of salmon I have had in a long time. The place was small and cozy; good for a group of four. Meals were reasonably priced and made in a fast manor. The server, Mike, was funny and friendly and was good about refilling our drinks. In general this place served excellent seafood and the pizza seamed good. read more

After having a really rude experience next door, we walked into this restaurant not knowing how they'd accommodate a large group with kids. But the staff was super friendly and courteous. We were offered somewhat private seating on the patio in the back--perfect for families with toddlers. Our server was such a nice guy, I wanted to leave a tip even before we ordered our food. The drinks came promptly. The food was brought out at the same time for everyone which was perfect. My grilled chicken with pasta was delicious. My husband got the cheese pizza and loved it. We saw homemade desserts/cakes being delivered through the back entrance, so we knew they don't serve Safeway goodies. The whole experience was just pleasant and nice. read more
