The fatty beef were a bit chewey. The stirred fried noodle were a bit bland, which is why there were sauce station. But despite the taste were a bit bland, my mouth feels a bit of garlicky. Most of the items contain some type of fruit element. I can't speak to the authenticity, but the dishes I got were unlike any Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered the passionfruit rice noodle soup with fatty beef and the stir fried mango beef. The staff kindly directed me to the sauce station before my food arrived, which had several small appetizers to enjoy as I waited. I really liked the crunchy spicy cracker things they had. The rice noodle soup came out first. It has a sour smell immediately which was intriguing and unfamiliar. The soup itself is fruity and sour but not sweet. It has a pleasant peppery heat and fresh herbaceous element. These flavors all work together and create a unique flavor profile. The noodles are slippery and bouncy and there was some unexpected surprises lying underneath, like strips of hot dog. I saw some photos online that made the stir fry look fairly light on the beef, but my portion seemed larger than what I was expecting. The strips of beef are combined with mango, bell pepper and slices of kumquat. The mango is very soft when cooked, and its sweetness is tempered with salt and the savory beef. The peppers were also soft and the little slices of kumquat provided an extra punch of sour flavor. My complaint about this place is that I found the beef in both of my dishes to be subpar. I believe it's an issue of low quality product and not one of cooking. The pieces in the soup were dry and unpleasantly chewy and I avoided them all together. The pieces in the stir fry appeared to be some sort of grisly off cut. The long muscle fibers were sliced with the grain instead of against, which provided a chewy and unpleasant eating experience. The interior is well decorated and while others have mentioned how small it is, I had no problem finding a table and didn't feel very cramped at all. The service was extremely friendly and kind despite an obvious language barrier. I'm not sure if I would return but I was pleased with my experience here and it was fascinating to experience these flavor combinations which were new and unfamiliar to me.

Will definitely be back to try the hand pulled noodle soup with Cumin Lamb.

You can't miss them, as they are among the many tempting food stalls located on the lower level. Their line is a bit longer than others but well worth the wait. I was mesmerized by the sight of hand pulled noodles, made to order right before my very eyes. I was excited to taste, and the decision to get either noodles in soup or stir fried was a tough one. I ordered the house special stir fried noodles after some hesitation as I really am a fan of it served both ways. The noodles were bouncy in texture and were really good. Unfortunately I do not have a comparison as this is my first time eating Chinese hand pulled noodles. For me the flavors were well balanced and what can I say about portion size? It's plenty to share and that's a real plus. I was not disappointed and I hope to try their other noodle dishes on my next visit! Side note, this is a cash only stall. Bring a fair amount, as a lot of vendors do not take the card here.

It's not far from the train on a quieter side street, but close to Main Street. The lady behind the counter and the man (who is cooking back there) are really nice. They have a few tables and chairs. The pork one had a richer deeper flavor. . They appear to have 3 different kinds of noodles, the one shown (which is the standard), rice noodles and rice cake. I liked the noodles and the portion was a lot. I barely ate dinner that night after the meal. You do get a good value for your buck. . The menu is very simple and the translations are literal as if it was google translated. For example beef noodle - it says beef powder. The only draw back for me is on a hot day, they didn't turn on the AC, just left the door wide open. But that's normal for them. It's a hole in a the wall, not sitting/dining for comfort. This might explain why Xian Cuisines (西安小吃) in New World Mall's uber famous food court (#1) is one of their longest running stalls. Located in corner stall #28 (#2), the name "西安小吃" (Xi An Xiao Chi) is literal, in that they specialize in Xi'an snacks / food. Much of their specialties revolve around a series of Xi'an style hand pulled noodles (拉面), which sort of resemble pappardelle wide noodles in soup and stir fried form. The same folks are also here their roujiamo (肉夾饃) aka "Chinese burger" which contains either pork or lamb with a whole mess of herbs and veggies. It's hard to go wrong with any of their QQ noodles or oil splashed noodles (油泼辣子面). It can get a little messy depending on the chopstick skills, so eat slowly and don't wear any white clothing. I think their liang pi (cold noodle with gluten and sliced cucumber is refreshing with the multiple provided sauces. I have a soft spot for their lamb noodle soups, which come with tender slices of meat and a broth that is loaded with mild spice and herbs. It comes as no surprise, cash and Mandarin is the way to go here. Prices have steadily increased but the food is semi-reasonable given how expensive things have become. Most items are still in the $8-12 range. The big plate chicken is an off-menu item, and I believe it needs to be pre-ordered since it takes so long to make. They do have a self-order tablet near the register, but it's usually quicker to talk to the counter folks directly. Service is not the warmest, which is typically what spurned folks will often cite. I don't see this improving much, if ever. Due to the never-ending lines of the next door stall (#3), it might feel claustrophobic in what is usually the most crowded part of the food court.
