Great night in Atlanta, I've been meaning to try 1201 for quite some time, so I decided to take a trip while a friend was in town to see how good the food was. I went to 1201 on a Sunday night, and it was very quiet, not too many people inside. The decor was very pleasing, it definitely catches your attention. I'm sure there are a lot of people who take pictures inside. There are plenty of seating they have indoor and outdoor seating options. The service was great. The server we had was very knowledgeable, and she helped me actually pick what I ultimately got to eat. She was patient, took a little while to order food because we were mulling over our options, but she kept coming back and asking if we had any questions. The food was really good. We had the Jerk chicken pizza and the lemon butter salmon. The pizza was very tasty, I have never had jerk chicken pizza before. Also, it was HUGE like a legit delivery sized pizza right there in the restaurant. If you know anything about me, when I eat, I like to be full, and I had a ton of pizza left over at the end of the night.

I've been to 1201 Cafe in Atlanta before, and now with the full bar open, it's my new go-to spot. The vibe is chic and artsy with wall-to-wall murals, and the drinks are amazing -- I loved the 1201 Margarita and Watermelon Refresher. The menu is just as impressive, from sizzling lamb chops and Cajun salmon pasta to fresh homemade pizza and Taco Tuesday specials. They stay open late on weekends, have great happy hour specials, and brunch is coming soon. Perfect for a date night, catching the game, or hanging out with friends.

Great location. Friendly service from the staff. Happy Hour food special. Ordered 6 Honey garlic lemon pepper 5 of 5. $7.50 Next ordered $5 Oven Baked cheese pizza add pepperoni, excellently done. Outside patio was refreshing with nice breeze. Great first date dinner and still can afford to bar crawl. lol

Great service, great food, great drinks! It was a bit dark inside but still great ambiance!

NEVER AGAIN...My wife and I decided to give this place a try this Saturday. We arrived at around 6pm. The place seemed empty for a Saturday considering the amount of traffic in the surrounding restaurants. That should have been a red flag immediately. This place attempts to present itself as high end, but fall far short of being a hole in the wall bar trying to serve finger food. Not one person in the place including the server had a smile on their face. Our server was nice, but never introduced herself. We ordered the Chicken Eggrolls ($14) for an appetizer and Honey Garlic Chicken entree ($27) and the Veggie pasta entree ($26) including the $7 add-on for chicken. To my surprise, the chicken entree was an EXTREMELY tasteless small portion of a chicken breast (approx. 3 oz,) served below room temperature on a cracked plate. The potatoes were borderline cold. Even the utensils were of dollar store quality (undersized disposables). I ordered a Coke with my meal which was served in a short plastic cup and it was flat. My wife was also served her entree on a cracked plate. The pasta dish was supposed to include zucchini, broccoli, mushrooms and peppers. The only ingredients in it were the peppers and what appeared to be spinach. We let the manager know and her response was "oh, we were out of those ingredients". I feel this is something that should have been told to us BEFORE placing the order. The pasta was severely overcooked and there was barely any chicken in it (even though we paid an additional $7 for it). As for the eggrolls...they were okay and the only item served at a proper temperature. Everything else was served lukewarm or cold. I wanted this to be a good experience, and I understand that restaurants can sometimes have an off night but unfortunately, we will not be back. Extremely overpriced and too many corners are being cut.

I came in today for happy hour and I loved the vibes, food, and drinks! I got the 1201 Passion drink and it looked really pretty and tasted even better! The bartend Emani was very attentive and sweet the entire time I was in there, I'll definitely be back next Wednesday!

    Chicken strips Potaotes

Potatoes, Chicken strips Waffle (not listed) Tequila Lemon drop (not listed) Shrimp and grits (not listed) I went with my 2 friends. One got shrimp and grits and she liked it 10/10 My other friend and I got chicken strips with potatoes and a waffle. Waffle was ok but too thick. Shareable. 6/10 Chicken strips were very over cooked, small, dry, no taste. 1/10 Potatoes had no taste at all even tho there was seasoning on there . They weren't hard which was good. 5/10 Lemon drop was good 10/10

Glass with lipstick that was not noticed by my family member until after he finished it.

Went to visit a family member and we wanted to try this restaurant which is close to his house. Can't blame the server for the issue. Issues are in the kitchen. Had a family member that had lipstick on his drink glass (see picture). It took approximately 1 1/2 hours for food to start coming out. Food came out for everyone except for one person and we were told that it may be an additional 10 minutes. Two of us tried the salmon croquette meal and it turned out to be horrible. They forgot the eggs they were supposed be part of the meal and the potatoes were pretty basic. You can tell the croquettes were cooked in dirty grease because the outside of them were really dark and the inside was not cooked (see pictures/video). Another family member had the shrimp and grits, and they advertised creamy grits but they were not creamy as shown in the pictures can you. If you're looking for a really nice spot to go hang out with some friends and drink or maybe check out the cigar bar upstairs, which we did not check out, then go for it. We will never try this restaurant again.

Good energy, solid food, memorable vibes. What we received instead felt like a live-action social experiment in delayed gratification... without the reward. We were seated at 8:20 PM. Our food arrived at 10:10 PM. Now, I'm no stranger to anticipation. I've waited on big moments in life. But waiting nearly two hours for dinner while watching your drinks slowly dissolve into flavored water? That's not anticipation. That's character development nobody asked for. Speaking of drinks, by the time they reached us, the ice had completed its full life cycle. What we ordered as cocktails arrived as philosophical statements on impermanence. Appetizers? They made a bold artistic choice to arrive after the entrees... or not at all. Still unclear. At some point, hunger turned into confusion, and confusion turned into negotiation. We politely asked: if we leave, how do we get our deposit back? The answer was reasonable, refund granted, just pay for the drinks (the same drinks that had been aging like disappointment at the bar). And then, miraculously, our food appeared. Instantly. As if our request to leave activated a hidden "Oh wow, they're serious" button in the kitchen. Unfortunately, by then, hunger had left the chat. One guest ordered a well-done burger. It arrived... with ambition, but not completion, it was basically rare. Another ordered a salad, which made a brief cameo on the bill but never in real life. Hydration? We received one water refill over the course of nearly two hours. I've had plants with better watering schedules. Now, I will say this: our server was kind. Genuinely. But kindness alone can't carry an entire operation. We saw her once every thirty minutes or so, and it wasn't packed! And just when we thought the night had delivered its final punchline, a roach casually emerged from beneath the table, as if to personally thank us for dining there... and possibly to continue the evening with us elsewhere. Bold. Memorable. Uninvited. This wasn't just dinner. It was an experience. Not the one we paid for, but certainly one we won't forget. Would I return? Let's just say... I believe in second chances. Just not here.

We ordered some beers (note: they also offer a full bar and many cocktail options) and two appetizers (salmon dip & the bitterballen). My absolute favorite was salmon dip. My only complaint is that they didn't provide enough toast. The salmon tasted fresh, loved the texture and seasoning and it was light while also filling. Overall it was a positive experience. The price point was fare considering the offerings and quality and the service was great!

This is a Belgian-inspired brewery, restaurant, bookstore, and beer garden all under one roof. Bold Monk is located in the Upper Westside of Atlanta, near Chattahoochee Food Works and Topgolf Atlanta Midtown. There's plenty of free parking around the building and on the street (Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW). I like the space here because there are various spaces inside and "outside" to spread out and hang out. I put "outside" in quotes because their patio is fully covered and enclosed -- good for bad weather. I had the Presence Pilsner (lager, 4.8%, 16 oz, $7). It was cold, crisp, and refreshing. I recommend it. The menu describes it as offering a "soft bready malt, delicate herbal and floral hop notes, and clean, dry finish." For dinner, I had the Salmon Dip ($16) to start and the Steak + Frites (market price) as my main. The Salmon Dip is made with house-cured salmon and tarragon aioli, and comes with thin toast triangles. The Steak + Frites is "chef's cut" (not sure which, didn't ask) and comes with Bearnaise, arugula, and Belgian frites (fries). The Bearnaise went great with both the steak and the fries. Bold Monk is known for their Belgian Frites, "The Original French Fry," which comes with a variety of sauces and in a few different styles. They also offer a variety of mussels and pizza. My buddy had one of the pizzas, "the 1838," I believe, which comes with different mushrooms, mozzarella, and house-made truffle ricotta. He seemed to enjoy it. The pizzas - the 1836, the 1899, the 1838, the 1850, and the 1862 - are all named after years that monasteries opened in Europe. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out just right. The quality of the cut was average/about what you'd expect for budget-friendly steak frites (it's no Bar Blanc in terms of cut quality). But still, that and the Salmon Dip were tasty and satisfying enough. Good service from both our server and the host/manager, who made sure my friend did not leave his jacket behind. Bold Monk opened in December 2019.

The girls who were working there were all dressed in pink - so cute! The restaurant was covered in florals and pink accents, truly a pink dream. Our group quickly grew, and the ladies were patient and kind with each and every one of us. We all tried some different cocktails and we loved them all. My personal favorite was the Coco Chanel which I should NOT have ordered based off of aesthetics because, WOO. That baby was strong, lol. But still tasty, so they did right by us, lol.
