I ordered 4 arepas to go. The Ocean Breeze and the Island Pork are delicious! They average about $8 and are very filling. We waited less than 10 minutes for 4 arepas and the limeade (made with cane sugar). The cashier was very nice and cordial. Will definitely come back! read more

This arepa was delicious! I've been celiac for 1.5 years and get so excited to see gluten free options. Very affordable at $8.90 before tax+tip. I got the Rosemary Honey latte and that was terrific as well. Friendly workers and good vibes. read more

Service was fast, the people were nice and drinks/food was delicious! Perfect neighbrohood spot and not too expensive for specialty drinks

I was looking for a place to crank out some work in Lakeview. Between crowded spaces at Maison Marcel and Intelligentsia, I wound up at 11 Degrees North. What used to be Dollop Coffee (I believe), is now a cute and quaint coffee and cafe shop. The ambiance was very welcoming and myself and a friend were able to get some substantial work done. They had outlets, large tables and the coffee was great and affordable. Though we didn't get a chance to eat the food, we definitely want to come back and try some of the menu items out. Looking forward to more Sunday afternoons here! read more

Small shop offering food and coffee. Had a Porkie sandwich, bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese on a biscuit. Very tasty, and the biscuit was fluffy and fresh. The woman who took my order asked if I realized the drink I ordered was served cold, Cafe Batido, not part of my Spanish vocabulary until now. Switched to the Latin Fire Mocha Latte, a perfect blend of chocolate, spice, and coffee. There is a sign behind the cashier that says, "We don't serve Fast Food, we serve fresh food, as fast as we can. Thank you for your patience." I would say that my patience was greatly rewarded. If you have the time to relax, definitely worth a visit. read more

So happy to have found this place! We loved everything we had. The arepas were made fresh and were hot when they came out. My husband was happy they offer espresso macchiatos! There is so much on the menu I want to try - so many different arepas from traditional to fusion, lots of drink offerings and they have smoothie bowls too! Definitely worth a visit :) read more

Best coffee, incredible food, super quick service. Definitely a gem in the neighborhood and a stop for anyone visiting.

What a cute breakfast place. My French vanilla latte was excellent and so was the egg sandwich on biscuit with mixed greens and avocado! My favorite breakfast spot in the local Lakeview East area! So much better than Ann Sather! Lots of healthy choices! I will be back! Maybe tomorrow morning! read more

We were just there to get a cup of coffee and get out of the cold for a bit. The only person who really seemed to care that we were there was a like boy playing in the corner. He came over and talked to us. We were the only people there most of the time, it could have been the time of day. It was between 1-2 in the afternoon. The gal that took our order didn't seem too interested in being there. The coffee was good. The place was clean and quiet. It was a pretty old building. Not a new trendy place. The menu was done on wood palettes, that was neat. It would be a nice quiet place for coffee with friends. read more

Saw a video on TikTok and that's what made me go. Delicious is one word to describe this place. And comfy. Every bite was pure goodness and freshness. That cheese gave it a touch. I loved everything from the cold soda to the food. I will be back with my son. You earn my 5 stars read more

I stopped in here because the Starbucks nearby doesn't have seating (so weird). I needed a place to sit, enjoy a snack, and work before an appointment in the area. I walked a bit to this spot and I was really surprised with how good everything was. The space is small but they have free wifi and don't seem to mind people sitting at a table and working. I snagged a spot and was able to plug in my laptop. I ordered at the counter and they brought everything to me. I was really happy with all of their coffee selections, including the several on-draft options. They gave me a few samples and I was really happy with my coffee choice. There's milk and sugar at a different station if you want it but their drafts are so good you don't really need to alter them. I opted to go with a breakfast special and I was not disappointed. It was an arepa with all kinds of goodies inside it including eggs, avocado, black beans, and some kind of delicious sauce. Plus Caribbean cheese. I wasn't even sure what that was but it was amazing. Get it on everything if you can. I loved the hot sauces at my table and everything was really delicious. I'm glad I ordered what they recommended and I suggest you try the same. I will gladly come back and try more of the food. It wasn't too expensive, the space was really nice, and they had a ton of beverages (caffeinated and non) so it'll take you awhile to work through the menu. Street parking looks to be available most days but nights could get tricky in the area. read more

Place is an absolute MUST go! The first bite into any arepa will instantly send your tastebuds into a land of culinary bliss. Best arepas in Chicago. Married to a Venezuelan and having visited the country, I can tell they have the perfect combination of traditional arepas and contemporary ones. I had "Take it easy" and "Ocean Breeze" (in the pics), both exquisit! They also carry beverages and sweets from Venezuela. The place is small but nice. Ideal for a casual dinner, brunch or lunch. Not ideal for strollers (just joined the mamma team) or big groups. I will definitely repeat. Soon! read more

Good gluten free arepas. Tasty smoothies. Sometimes mix up delivery orders but normally will refund. Not a bad experience.

I had the "bird of paradise" arepas. It was my first time here so I asked the guy what he recommends. Arepas is a Brazilian sandwich, it's a light soft crispy sandwich with chicken, mayo, avocados and shredded Gouda cheese. It was delightful and very filling. Will definitely be back. read more

I grab a coffee way too often and the arepas are incredible it's so hard living so close by. Truly a hidden gem

I was excited that this place has arepas. Now I'm just excited to warn you not to waste your money here. The arepas they have have all kinds of stuff in them, and I wanted just plain cheese, which is my favorite kind, and which they agreed to make. Even though the cheese options are cheddar, provolone, and some thing called "Caribbean," I decided cheddar was the least of the evils. Much to my dismay, when I got the sandwich it was just above room temperature and the cheese was not even melted at all. I asked them if they could at least heat it until the cheese melts. They agreed and when they served it back to me, the cheese on the inside was still room temperature and was still in shreds because it hadn't melted at all. See picture. If you can't even melt cheese, how can you be expected to make more complicated sandwiches? Smdh read more

Love this place for their arepas. I'm gluten free and they have tons of gf options. Nice staff too

Decent açaí bowl. They are made to order and the toppings (banana, strawberry, coconut) were relatively fresh

Arepas, smoothies, coffee, tea, sweets....Everything here is amazing! Cute little shop and the employees are the sweetest!

This coffee shop is fantastic! Lots of seating, fun chalkboard tabletops, friendly staff and good-quality, well-priced drinks. I haven't tried the food (yet!) but they were selling delicious looking arepa creations left and right. I'm 99% sure a few of their arepas come already vegan, but there are a few more vegetarian arepas that can be modified, as well. I got the CBD cold brew on my last visit and plan to get it again if they keep it on their menu. read more

Fabulous arepa and coffee wow! I've been visiting my sister in this neighborhood for years and just found this cool place. Not a fancy space, sure. Perfect for a quick, high-quality lunch or bite to eat. Great spot for gluten or meat-free diners! We stopped in for a light afternoon meal and were more than satisfied with the knowledge of the woman behind the counter and the breadth of choices. Food: We wanted something easy so we chose a pulled pork and Gouda sandwich (we wolfed it down so quickly I don't have a picture!) The gluten-free arepa is so delicious I would choose it over normal bread any day. I also had the Nutella smoothie which was refreshing and just the perfect amount of sweet. Atmosphere: Small casual eatery. Great for lunch but very few tables. Service: Super accommodating. We asked her for recommendations since it was our first time there. We also requested extra sauce on the side after we had paid and she said it was no problem. Very nice! read more
