I enjoyed my emapandas and staff are attentive. We came here on a Saturday afternoon to dine in for a light lunch. We've picked up food here before and I follow their page in instagram - and I've been seeing variety of dishes and when we got here, I didnt see most of the dish that I saw on instagram. I would like to give them 5 stars....however.. It would've been great if 1.) They provide a separate list of dishes thats not on the regular menu or 2.) Server can tell their patrons on what they have that its not on the menu.

Food was good. We've had many different types of food and this is the first time having Venezuelan food. It reminded me of Columbian, Cuban and some Puerto Rican dishes. I am glad we went. We've got try some dishes that we've never had before. I will definitely recommend this place. I just wished they had pictures of the dishes for people like me who likes to order everything on the menu

The food was delicious!! We had taqueños but they were so good I didn't even get a chance to take a pic, and the white sauce that comes with them was sooo good! Both the arepas were delicious and with the right amount of crunch. I definitely recommend it, and will be returning.

The meat was seasoned to perfection! Really loved the Carne Al Grill with the fries and plantains. Definitely will be coming back!

Great food and quick service. The meat platter they have is delicious and you must try their yuca fries.

Delicious! I had never been to a Costa Rican restaurant in the U.S. before so always exciting to…read moretry something new. Larger than it looked from the outside which made a walk in dinner easy. Casual friendly atmosphere, the patio was lovely. A friend and I split a skirt steak pepito and the casado, the national dish of Costa Rica, with coconut shrimp. The pepito was my favorite, everything about it was perfect. We had a lot of leftovers of the casado - so much food! Had never had that combination of items in a dish before and loved the combination of flavors and textures. I don't live in Chicago but have several friends that live walking distance from Irazu so I'd been wanting to try it for so long. worth the wait and I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more on the menu!

Ambiance - very well indicative of the "feeling" of Costa Rica. Nostalgic for me as it is my…read morehome...mi pais. The food was really good but I didn't give it 5 stars cause it's hard to gauge against anything else since there aren't any CR eateries. Also my immediate family all do not live in CR or near me. This makes things hard. I had the Casado Talapia, it was delicious but thinking back I would have tried the Casado de carne (beef). Asked about an item not on their menu...hígado y cebollas (liver steak and onions) my fave...alas, they informed me that they could have had it but I would have had to call a day ahead. Perhaps next time Pura vida!!!
