I used a promotional code after adding $650.00 worth of product in my cart. It was for a $50 Amazon e-gift card. They said it would come in 3-4 weeks. I even called them to make sure this was a legit promotion. It has been 2 months so I called to see what happened to the gift card and they told me you must click "update cart" after adding the promotional code or else it will not apply the promotion. I am very dissatisfied with my experience with 1000Bulbs.com. They sold me dimmable light bulbs, the light bulbs would strobe while dimmed, and then they made me pay for return shipping to send the bulbs back (and obviously did not refund the initial shipping charges). In the end, I paid about $25 and received nothing for it other than the headache of having to return these bulbs. I do not recommend doing business with 1000Bulbs.com due to their customer service policy. They claimed it must be something with my dimmer, certainly not their light bulbs. Placed an order on 7/14 for 25 CFLs. Checked status two weeks later and was told due to a botched warehouse move shipping was delayed but would go out in a couple days. Checked status a week after that and told item was on backorder, would arrive on 8/12. Checked on 8/12 and they confirmed product had arrived but would take two days to inventory before shipping. HI first time experience of ordering from 1000 bulbs and I feel utterly confused and frustrated about what i received. I am extremely mad at the idea that I cant give half a star due to my circumstances. I ordered two F32T8/BLB - 35 watts(Fluorescent bulbs) and was really excited at first, UNTIL I opened it and reached in and found both my bulbs shattered and split in half. Not only were they shattered but i ended up cutting my finger as i reached in. So, this may be confusing. I recently purchased two compact fluorescent bulbs from 1000Bulbs.com. I needed to replace one that had burnt out and, of course, wanted them to match the intensity and light quality of the existing bulb. I read off the info on the "burnt out bulb" and they assured me they had the bulbs i needed. When i got the bulbs, although they were in identical boxes, one was "warm" light (like I needed) and the other was "bright", which did not match. When I called them to tell them this, two different people told me i would need to go home and look at the bulb (that matched our existing one; the correct one, obviously) to see if the numbers were the same. I stated that why would I need to do that? the bulb I have here is obviously not correct. Just let me send it back and send me the correct one. She said "we can do that if you want to pay the shipping". What?! I didn't make the mistake!! Why should I pay the shipping?? Then the next lady told me that if the bulbs were different light colors, they would have to check with the manufacturer before they could do anything. All for a over-priced to begin with $9 light bulb! Just send me the right one and be done with it! Is this company in such dire straits that they need to quibble over $9?? No "I'm sorry this happened", "sorry for your inconvenience"... nothing but arguing. Well, I learned my lesson. You had better hope that your order is perfect...or good luck. read more

Have done business for years with them in west Texas and until the start of December of 2016 things were ok but had to stay on top of them daily to make sure things were being done. Finally in mid January everything went to lies and misdirection's and not shipping. I noticed another review that said they must be good to only large volume companies. I believe that is the truth of this company. And will not do business again. read more

The only shipping option is USPS. If USPS loses your shipment you can file a notice but you they won't reimburse you if they can't find your package, and neither will 1,000 Bulbs. That's what happened to me. read more

I purchased 5 Kobi LED under cabinet lights for a customer's kitchen and 4 months later 1 of the lights quit working. I contacted 1000 Bulbs to find out how the 5 year warranty is honored and was told that I would have to pay the shipping ($13.24) back to them for them to honor the warranty. I am a business owner and I know that this is bad business practice and you will lose business operating this way. I have had the worst experience with ordering online from 1000bulbs. I saw on their website a specific bulb I needed for a fairly competitive price. I placed an order for 7 of them on February 24th, only to receive an email stating their website was incorrect for having these bulbs in stock and it would take a few weeks for their manufacturer to ship them. No big deal, I understand how these things work. Only to receive another email a few weeks later that the bulbs were again backordered for another month. Again no big deal. Only to receive ANOTHER email a month later that said they were going to be backordered another few weeks. I emailed the online sales rep, that this is an unfortunate rollercoaster I have been on. She assured me she spoke directly to the manufacturer and guaranteed me it would only be another two weeks. Fine. Only two more weeks of this ongoing nightmare. But I just received another email the manufacturer had delayed the product another few days and then shortly after another week. I honestly can't fathom how an online company can function like this. Luckily, I only needed these bulbs for personal reasons (I'm building a screen print studio in my garage, and needed UV bulbs for exposure), I can only imagine being a business with high demands for such products and how infuriating this type of situation could be. Honestly, from my experience, I will not be purchasing from 1000Bulbs again, which is bummer, because I could see myself needing more supplies in the future. I purchase many bulbs and lamps from them. But no more. If you purchase a quantity of bulbs from them to have on hand and install them as previous bulbs burn out you have to be very careful. Terrible company. I've been trying for weeks to buy a light bulb socket. Talking to customer service was a joke, as the girl didn't have a clue what I was asking for, and didn't seem to care. Although I knew she was recommending I order the wrong socket, she insisted it was the right one. Of course, I get the wrong one. They would only dim from about 100% to 90% so I requested a return. !000Bulbs sent me an RMA return form but expectes me to pay for the return charge of $26. I just got off the phone with them.....no, they will not pay for the return shipping even though the product is not as advertised. That's their standard policy! I ordered a bulb from these people the week before Thanksgiving. We received A bulb within a week. Not sure why I had to pay $10.67 for priority mail when there was no hurry for it. But that was the cheapest mailing option. The bulb we received wasn't even close to the one I put in my cart. I filled out the return item form. Waited. Waited. Sent an e-mail. Sent another e-mail. Sent another e-mail. I still don't have ANY of my money back. I'm out over $15.00 for the bulb and the shipping. What a racket! Called on 10/7 the expected receive date, to get tracking #, they couldnt give a tracking # but siad it was being delivered that day. 1000Bulbs does not care about international customers. Instead of dealing with international orders themselves like most companies do they pass you along to a 3rd party called iGlobal. Questions, refunds, and shipping are all handled by iGlobal. Shipping on a $150USD order (which was about 10 small LED bulbs) is way overinflated at almost $90USD. This is CRAZY! I assume if i want a larger order i should just fly to Texas and hand pick what i want? Seriously Kim Pederson It's 2017, get with the picture and provide good customer service pricing to everyone if you're going to sell to everyone or don't at all, otherwise you look like a joke. Do not, I repeat, do not order anything from this company if you think at all you might need to make a return. Even I never thought I'd need to return lightbulbs but I did since they didn't work. I tried 4 bulbs out of 20 and none of them worked. Figured that was a no brainer return. Not so. Called to ask how to return them and was told I could only return the ones that didn't work and would need to test them all and pay for the shipping and restocking fee for the ones that worked. I had a chandelier that needed 20 bulbs. How am I supposed to figure out how many more I need to order with a 100% failure rate to start? And, I wasn't very confident in any bulbs that might work. Are you kidding me??? No joke, I had to take each bulb out and test them. 2 worked initially, then sort of fizzled and dimmed out. This took multiple emails and phone calls over a month before they would even give me info on how to return these bulbs. (By the way, other LED bulbs we ultimately purchased from a big box store all worked and are still working fine). Horrible customer service and poor backing of their quality! read more
