Looks a week grown out.
D'Anna N.

I've visited over the years a few times, but unfortunately never had an outstanding experience, but it's close to my home and conveniently located, so I figured I'd give them another try. Yesterday I came in for a pedicure and manicure. My pedicure was fine and my toes looked good afterwards. However, my experience was not good for my nails. 3 weeks ago I got acrylic nails from ANOTHER nail place and I thought they were perfect and beautifully done! Yesterday when I went in for a refill Jen greeted me and had recognized me from a year or so ago and asked where I had been & that she hadn't seen me in a while. She asked me how much I had spent on my last manicure and low key insulted the manicure stating that she thought they were "too thick". I laughed in my head because they were not thick at all and looked so good, and I was thinking she was probably low key shaming me for not coming to her for my nails. Anyhow, Jenn started my manicure with filing, then Kevin took over filing and refilling and shaping, then Jen took over again and painted the shellac. Although I would've preferred one person the whole time working on my nails, I didn't think it was a big deal. Especially if my nails would've looked good. My complaint is that it would've been nice had Kevin confirmed that I was happy with the length and shape of my nails after filing and shaping my first nail, but he never once asked me if I was okay with it. All of the best nail technicians confirm that you are happy with the shape before continuing to do the rest of your nails. I was too busy trying to relax that I didn't think to look hard enough at my nails to make sure I liked the shape. It wasn't until after he filed all of them that I realized oh crap this shape sucks, but I'll live with it. Once I got to the table, Jenn painted the shellac & I realized that the refill had not been nicely done close to my cuticle, which made a fresh manicure appear to look a week old. I was so bummed! I didn't make a big deal about it, but I did ask that next time if they could get a little closer to the cuticle and shape them down a little closer to the nail bed. Then Jenn replied that it was impossible to get closer to the cuticle because it would chip. Hmmm... Then she said it has something to do with my previous nails from the previous place. Whatttt??? I was like okay let's just blame others for your job. The shellac paint was not perfect either. Oh and when she was filing my nail bed she was filing hard and it heated up and was painful- a couple of times I jerked because it got too hot. I didn't have that happen before. When it was time to pay I left a very nice tip as my last farewell. She didn't even seem appreciative. It will be my last time here. It's better to drive a little farther to have nice work done. Overall, I thought the whole experience was unprofessional and lacking attention to detail and customer service. I'm rating a fair 2 star experience based on my toes looked nice. Look at my pictures to see for yourself the nail.

I've never started a review like this before, so bear with me while I really express myself…read more.. So boom. I decided to bring my husband to this nail shop because I had been here before for a pedicure and had a good experience. I thought it would be the perfect place for him to feel comfortable getting his pedicure while also receiving great service. When we walked in, we were greeted by a woman with the biggest smile. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant. I honestly thought she was going to be my nail technician, but she ended up taking care of my husband which actually worked out because I wanted him to have the best experience possible. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. From the moment my technician started working on me, she was rough. Every movement felt harsh pulling, tugging, and handling my feet with absolutely no gentleness. It wasn't just her technique; her attitude was just as cold. I believe everyone has bad days, but customers shouldn't have to be on the receiving end of them. Then came the polish. She asked me what color I wanted, and I gave her the exact number because I had already picked it out. She couldn't find it, and that's when her frustration became obvious. She started speaking in another language, tossing bottles around on the table, and visibly showing how irritated she was. I looked over at my husband and quietly said, "I don't think she's having a good day because she's been rough with me ever since she started." He began paying closer attention and noticed it too. When she came back, I even asked her, "Are you okay?" She quickly replied, "Yeah, yeah, I'm okay." She applied the first coat, then came back with a completely different polish than the one I requested. I stopped her and politely said, "Excuse me, that's not the color I asked for. Can you please get the one I requested?" Instead of simply correcting the mistake, she stormed off visibly upset. At that point, I had enough. I refused to let someone with that kind of attitude finish my service. I told them I would pay for what had already been done, but I would not be returning. I came in respectful, spent my hard-earned money, and did absolutely nothing to deserve being treated that way. Thankfully, my husband had already finished his pedicure and had a much better experience than I did. Somewhere in the middle of all this, we even had margaritas (ha!) which honestly may have given me the courage to stand up for myself because, if you know me, I'm usually the person who stays quiet just to avoid conflict. Not this time. I'm about to be 45, and I've reached a place in life where I refuse to pay people to mistreat me. If you're having a bad day, I truly hope it gets better--but don't (ever) take it out on your customers. Customer service matters just as much as the service you're providing. Sadly, because of this experience, I won't be returning. Respect goes both ways, and my money will be spent where kindness and professionalism are just as important as a good pedicure. I'm out.

However, as I was leaving today, I noticed I hadn't received a receipt so I asked for one. When I got to my car and reviewed it, I saw I had been charged an extra $10 for a "nail fix." That was confusing to me because I came in for a builder gel set on my real nails and they had done my previous set as well. I went back inside to ask about it and was told by the manager that the charge was because I had partially removed the gel from two of my nails. I explained that the gel had started peeling after two weeks, so I removed part of it myself this morning knowing I was going to come get them fixed after work today. My main concern is not necessarily the $10 itself, but the lack of transparency. Three different employees assisted me today between my pedicure and gel set and at no point was I informed there would be an additional charge. When I asked why no one thought to alert me, I was told they "thought I knew." Very odd response for it only being my 3rd time. I was initially excited to find a new nail salon that provided good service and transparent pricing, but adding charges without communicating them beforehand (and then making excuses for the lack of communication) makes me reconsider returning
