i really wanted to like this place since it's so close to me and everyone's so nice. but the prices they add on are insane. my 7yo got a 'princess mani'... $40! WILD. i wasn't asked gel or polish, they added on the gel upcharge and $10 for a couple of stickers. also got 2 acrylic fills. my daughters ended up being around $80... for a fill. $25 for design, the tech did colored tops and a couple of dots and added a couple flower stickers. also filled hers weird and it's digging into her skin on the side so we have to get that fixed. for mine, $50 for a FILL... and $3 to file my nails down during my fill.... which is what is supposed to happen anyways. it's part of the process. i have been getting my nails done consistently for 20 years and have never seen these kinds of up charges. unfortunately i wont be back . $180 for 2 fills and a 7yo princess mani is absurd. read more

Upon entering the salon, the first thing I noticed was how beautiful and clean the space was. The aesthetic is absolutely stunning--modern, elegant, and very well-maintained. I was greeted immediately upon arrival, which I really appreciated. The staff took my name and number and promptly added me to the list so someone could assist me with my services. Next, I was guided to what I like to call "the wall of color." It was a gorgeous display showcasing their wide selection of gel, dip powder, and regular polish options. I loved that they didn't rush me while I chose my color--especially since I like to take my time (I'll be looking at these nails for at least a month, after all!). Once I decided on my color, I was seated in the pedicure chair where I met Rachael, my pedicurist, and Tristian, my manicurist. They both introduced themselves and immediately got started on my services. Shortly after, the host returned to offer me a drink--I chose water, but for those who enjoy something different, they do have a bar! As you can see from the photos, both Rachael and Tristian did an amazing job. They listened to my preferences, made any adjustments I requested, and most importantly, took their time. Every corner, nook, and detail was perfect--my nails honestly look like they belong in a magazine! I arrived around 9:30 AM and was finished in about an hour and a half, which was impressive given how thorough they were. Another plus: the salon is only about 15 minutes from my house, so I don't have to drive far outside of Katy for high-quality service. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Milano Nail Salon. My first visit today Scheduling an appointment was effortless. The gentleman that answered my call was friendly. I arrived 15 minutes early and was escorted to my seat. I was asked twice if I wanted a beverage. The options for nail color was plentiful. The person that did my pedicure was fun, inclusive and I wish I could hang out with her outside the salon. She was beyond amazing. I was so pampered. The leg massage felt was heavenly. She recommended a glass of coffee and I'm completely hooked. She also taught me how to make my own. The person that did my manicure was so sweet and talented. She put her own special touch on the color that I selected. My nails are beautiful and the perfect length for work. I recently moved to the area and I had been so excited to make this my go to nail salon. However this has been by far the worst experience I have ever had. The service and lack of communication here was unacceptable, and I cannot recommend this location to anyone. I came to have my acrylic nails removed that I'd gotten done at a different Milano, that they claim they aren't affiliated with. The individual who they sat me with, "Tee", began cutting my long acrylics but also began cutting my real nail growth underneath it - without even running it by me. I had been looking forward to my nail growth and without asking, he cut my real nails down. He then proceeded to, without asking, rip the nail off using a plastic nail, which as anyone would know, left major damage to my natural nail. I went in there expecting to have my nails soaked, so I stopped him and asked if we could soak and he says well that takes longer. I expressed this was damaging my nail and I didn't want that. He tried convincing me this was fine and that my nail was strong. He said "let's try one more" and proceeded to do the next nail. I stopped him at this point and asked to soak. He got annoyed but did so. After soaking, he half filed off the acrylic (not fully off) and proceeded to once again cut my natural nail all the way down without asking. He left my nails damaged, unfinished, cut down, and jagged. I asked the front desk what their protocol for removal was and she said soaking and filing down. When I let them know he ripped my nails off, she said that was also an option if nails are lifting - mine were not. I expressed my dissatisfied experience, showed her my results, and she didn't seem to know what to say. She said it may have been miscommunication, and I let her know there was no communication. It is apparent he didn't do a great job but also she claimed cutting the nails all the way down was a what they did to have a "clean slate"?? I have never experienced this, much less doing this without confirmation from the client. I ended up going to a different Katy Milano location I trust and they confirmed the nails were unfinished and should not have been filed down the way they were. This location is not at all like the other Milano locations and I will never return nor recommend. read more

When they first opened, I was so excited I wanted to help and be supportive customer. But when I got here honestly, it was a joke... The service that I received was not at all what I asked for!! I came in here with medium length oval shaped nails. And I left with pretty much with extremely small oval shaped nails with the color that I didn't want... I told the woman that I just want to get a different color and re-shaped . This woman literally took off the fake nails that I previously had on and put a whole new set on when I did not say to do that... We have been clients since they opened. We constantly had little issues here and there but chalked it up to been new. But today was the final straw. First- there website stays hacked. Second- you can schedule an appointment but will most likely have to wait half an hour. Third- they have the highest turnover of staff known to man. This place is completely overpriced and overhyped. The parking absolutely sucks because you get all of the psycho target shoppers who are beyond anxious. To make things worse, the sign on the nail shop, said open, and as anyone knows if you see a sign that says open, u go in, especially with nail salons bc some of them make exceptions. I can't even get started on the quality of work. The pictures here should speak for themselves!! This cannot be a $124 quality! My sister had a GC for $84 for me. I work from home and I have had nails done all the time and had lasted as long as 2 months without scratch and I understand not everybody's quality can be same or compared but who is going to pay so much for a "Gel nail paint to come off next day?? Normally we have our regular place and she wanted to try Milano and get actually loved her technicians and enjoyed her service! I went here on Sunday I believe and I was greeted by the managers in the front and I handed them the GC and the manager asked me to pick a color and sat me straight away and kinda started the service like they already knew what I was getting! They offered "express service" which I wasn't looking for. Somehow I was rushed through the process I'm not sure why? The lady manager walked to me and said I had to pay extra $10 on top of $84 which I Agreed! I don't mind paying for a quality service and I tip handsomely! I also had to pay another $10 extra for both my toe nails as they are broken and I agreed to that as well! My manicure technician didn't clean or wipe my hands with warm towel but I did see here put moisturizer and paint straight. My pedicure technician didn't know what she was doing and very often another technician would barge in to show her how to proceed. This wasn't the worst part! I was just curious why I was charged $10 extra as my sister was told that the acrylic manicure is more than Gel and what my sister had paid for was Acrylic! they did express gel. We approached the manager(guy) just to check why they charged me $10 extra on top of $84 that was on the GC and the manager said $10 extra was for the toes and he was completely disconnected. I tried explaining to him that yes, $10 was for toe but there was another $10 but he completely denied and failed to educate us in a calmly manner. If we were hot like him we could have had a huge problem there but we weren't looking to argue. Both managers in the front failed to explain and came after us like we accused them of ripping us off!! My sister also told the manager calmly listen we not here to argue, we are just curious and I got a better service couple weeks ago with same amount of money but my sister got such a bad service with $104 before tips?? Really dissatisfied. Been to this location a hand full of times now. Every single time I've felt judge and the service has been rude. This last time was the final straw. I'm 3 months post partum and this was supposed to be my first quiet time alone since having the baby. I got my toes done right before going into labor so they needed work. First off had to wait 45 min to be sat and then another 30 to even get started on. I could tell the girl doing my nails was getting irritated because I kept moving but when you have a cheese grater on your foot it's hard to be still, she kept speaking to the woman doing my toes and the woman doing my toes would ask me to be still even though the woman doing my nails new English. And then the woman doing my toes made me so uncomfortable and self conscious saying how much work my feet needed because they were drying and complaining about how long the process was taking. Actually made me feel like an ogre. She also brought it up to the people I was with and I felt like I was being made fun of. My nails look great but my toes I got a French tip and I hate them.
