I've been coming to the Longenbaugh location for years & the service is always fantastic! Tina always does an amazing job on my nails & Vicky does miracles on my pedicures---love her massage. I get the traditional pedicure but I add on a paraffin wax. For nails, just standard acrylic with shellac but they have numerous options for nails. The salon is clean, peaceful, and the work lasts longer than other shops I've tried. Only had 1 broken nail from this salon in 4-5 years that I have been a customer. They also have a reward program too. If opting in to their reward program, each time you visit and enter your phone number counts towards a discount off future service. I got a full set acrylic with gel done by Julia. And a 15 min. shoulder and neck massage by Vicki. I had a huge painful knot in my neck and Vicki was awesome. This was my first time and it will now be my permanent place to have my pampering done. Julia was so attentive and absolutely did a Phenomenal job on my nails. All for 70.00! Decided to get my eyebrows and toes done this time. The pedicure was reasonably priced compared to other salons I believe. Like many other places sometimes I think the wax/rubbing goes by way too quickly for it to be the 'extras'. But overall the nail tech did a fabulous job. I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends and family. I've tried to give them chances, but after so many mess-ups, it gets to be ridiculous. My daughter came in yesterday to get her nails done, Julia was her technician who messed her nails up. She did not deliver quality nails as we expected. If we're spending $100+ on nails then I EXPECT good quality! The fact that she acted like it was fine and what we asked for was BS. Pictures don't lie and I've attached them to this review. Uneven lines, and bubbles in the nail paint. RIDICULOUS! UNEXCEPTIONABLE! It upsets me that you sent my daughter home looking like that. the staff was super nice and friendly but the nails were horrible. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they said they could do it. From the very beginning it was going wrong. She cut one hand shorter than the other and never fixed it, the shape was sloppy, and the design was not what i asked for at all. they didn't even get the colors right. I painted over them later on and kept them for about a week until one of the nails popped off. Just all around not great and definitely wouldn't recommend. read more

THIS is the VeNuS nails & spa location you want to go to. It is the original but now under new management. I drive Every 2 weeks from far south Houston to up north Cypress (45 minutes) to be taken care of from head to toe by the awesome ladies at THIS location. The other location on Fairfield is owned and operated by a previous employee when the Longenbaugh location was under previous money-hungry, non-customer focused management. Perhaps they named their location so similar to the original out of spite and to slyly confuse clients... well it worked. Every time I'm in here (Longenbaugh) I hear of stories of how ladies have went to the wrong location expecting to be serviced by the ladies of Longenbaugh VeNuS Nails & Spa only to be disappointed... I cannot personally attest to the quality of work or customer service at the Fairfield location BUT I can tell you that LONGENBAUGH is where you will NOT be disappointed. Tina or Julia takes care of my solar overlay with shellac polish manicure and coffin/ballerina shaped nails (as well as any waxing needs) while Mai keeps my feet looking like... feet :-) Enjoy their service and pleasant atmosphere sipping on a beverage of your choice ranging from water to wine. I tried out this salon after I decided I'd gone way too long without having my brows waxed. My regular salon is in Katy, right before I-10, and it's just too long a drive from where I live and work. I figured there had to be a decent place that is much closer! I picked this place because of the proximity to my house and the good reviews on here. I was definitely pleased with my decision! I got my brows, lip, and chin waxed for $17! The salon is very clean and well-kept, from what I could tell. Kathy is my go-to for an amazing pedicure that lasts forever and looks gorgeous forever. We've all had those experiences where our nails look amazing for 2.5 seconds and over the next few days the chipping/peeling/smudging set in. Not with Ms. Kathy. My polish still looks impeccable 2...3...even 4 weeks later if pressed. She's also professional and friendly. The salon itself is always neat and clean. The price points are also very reasonable, because they really do a quality job. Any small issues I've had in the past have always been quickly and kindly resolved. Great Experience! I was looking for a new salon after a bad experience with another, so after reading the reviews for Venus Nails, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. They were really nice and took us as a walk in. I asked for Shellac nails and as soon as I sat down I explained nervously that I didn't want them to shape or file my nails but buffing would be fine. Stephen was very friendly, smiled and said that was fine and began my manicure. I immediately relaxed not even realizing that I was so stressed about the reaction to my request. (see my review on the other nail salon). My grandson who had never had a pedicure before was with me and his nail stylist made him feel comfortable and did a great job. He loved it and said he was very relaxed and enjoyed the chair massage. I'm guessing he will be back for another one soon. I couldn't find the same color I liked because I suppose they use another product but I chose a new one and he did a great job on my nails and did them exactly as I asked. He spoke to me about my thin nails and suggested some things we can do to improve them in the future. He was not speaking to others while doing my nails . I always feel a little excluded when the stylists speak to each other in another language while they do my nails. I didn't see anyone doing this so that's a big plus for this salon. I told him I was on a tight timeline so he did a great job on my nails without taking too much time. I'm sure I've found my new salon and I love my nails. Great Experience. read more

Everyone is pretty good but I feel like Jenny does great job getting cuticles cleaned up, Mai has nice strong hands for massages and does great job at getting any ingrown big toenails out, and Kathy is sweet and works weekends, Julie is good too I see her do nails a lot, and Twee was sweet she did mine the other day and did great job, Tina the owner did my nails and did great job too! WARNING: I got a horrible STAPH infection from this salon. Visited on 7/22 for shellac nails mani. By the next day my thumb was tender and day after swollen, hot and a bad staff infection. The WORST pain I've had in years...couldn't even touch my thumb without excruciating pain. I was on vacation and had to see an urgent care clinic to get an antibiotic. Six days into my antibiotic and the tip of my thumb is still infected but it's improving. Although minor compared to the infection, the shellac is already peeling off on 2 of my nails. Please bring your OWN tools if visiting this salon or do not go at all. I will not return. read more

I am very particular when it comes to getting my nails done. I grew up in another area of Houston, and had a wonderful nail salon that I went to for about 7 years. But, then I moved out here. I have tried several nail salons in the Eldridge and West Little York area, and have never been satisfied. As a matter of fact, I went for about 4 years without my nails done because I could not find anyone that I liked. I was killing some time with a friend of mine, and we decided to give this little place a try, and I am so glad that I did. It was on a Saturday afternoon, and the nail technician was able to work us in. (I had got a full set of solar previously with another salon, and it was time for my first refill.) Megan was the technician that worked on me, and she was absolutely amazing! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. Megan was able to fix the mistakes of the previous salon that I went to (uneven whites, some nails slightly longer than others, etc.), and she made my nails look as well as I was used to them looking before I moved to this area. I have had so many compliments on the nails, and they are exactly what I wanted. I like my nails short, and I have found that technicians for some reason do not like to cut them as short as I want. In the past, I have had to tell them no, and to make them shorter. I never had to do this with her. Another plus of this salon is that I did not have to listen to the personal chatter in other languages between employees. That is something that I despise. I just think that it is rude. I feel like they are talking about people, or have something to hide. When people talk in another language, I feel like it is a way of having to not make nice and converse with the customers. Well, they did not go into long foreign conversations here. Attention was paid to the customers. As far as the pricing, it was on the less expensive side too. A solar refill runs 17 for the pink, and 25 for the pink and white. I appreciated this. There is no charge to cut your nails. I hate that I have to pay money at some salons for my nails to be cut. If I am going in to have my nails done, you can almost be sure that I will need them cut. I absolutely hate hidden charges, and I did not find any here. Another plus that I found at this salon, and even mentioned to my friend is that there were several customers in the salon, and they were all conversing. The sat next to each other and talked and laughed. This shows me that these ladies come on a regular basis and are somewhat familiar with each other. This is a plus to me, showing routine customers. I also saw a lady come in and buy a $150.00 gift certificate for her friend. This lady drove in from Conroe or The Woodlands... just to buy her friend a gift certificate. That speaks volumes to me. This salon is highly recommended, I know you will love it as much as I do! read more

The foot bath was cold, the technician barely spoke to me, and she nipped too much around my nails. The skin around my finger and toenails is raw and painful now. She also (inadvertently but painfully) jabbed me twice under the nail with the nipper. On the plus side, she did have firm pressure when she massaged in the moisturizer. The salon seemed clean and the other techs seemed friendly and were chatting with their customers. I won't be back, because mani/pedis should be relaxing, not make your fingers and toes hurt well into the next day. read more

Worst manicure experience I have ever had. This was my first and last time coming here. The lady doing my nails was being aggressive with the cuticle cutter and careless. She cut me pretty bad and then hurt me again trying to remove the skin that was now hanging off which only made things worst. I got zero discount for my trouble. And to top it all off this young lady came in just as I got cut and was complaining that she had nails put on just a week ago for prom and that they were already popping off. They would not return her money and denied giving her a break on her next visit that she requested. They were willing to fix them if she stayed, but after seeing what happened to me she bolted... I went in and got seated immediately, they were very nice and very talkative. I don't mind conversation when getting my nails done, but I really do not need to know details about your whole family when it is my first time into the salon. I asked the girl doing my nails to make them thin and to clean up the cuticle, when I walked out of there my nails were thick because she believed they would break and refused to make them any thinner and my cuticles were worse than when I walked in. My toes were done at the same time as my nails and went very well until the paint, I could see the three different layers that were put on. After 1 week the polish on my toes was conning off and one of my nails had already piped off and there were air pockets in 4 more. read more

I've gone to this salon about three times. First time I thought it was awesome I got my nails solar and very glittery. Next two times my nails have got messed up quickly. The second time I got shellac solar nails & the nails chipped from the top & I had to go back and get it fixed. They fixed it but chipped a few days later. The manager decided to walk over to the nail technician the last time I went & told her something about me coming in with my polish chipped & I guess it was in a negative way because the technician told me after she was finished don't bite on them I put three layer so it won't chip. Smh. They're OVERPRICED. 35$ for a refill! Ridiculous! I went there with positive attitude because I am so picky and wanted to find a permanent place. I paid 82. 00 for pedi and new set of tips and gel. When I would tell nail tech how I like my nails filed she argued that the way she did it was the right way and if she did what I asked it wouldn't look good. Well DUH!! I have only been having my nails done for 20 years so I think I know what I like. Pedi was good but not very good message and by time I got home polish was dull. I will not go back. I also had gobs of glue on fingers from new set of tips. Just not happy. They spoke to each other a lot but she would tell me what they were saying. I had decided to get a pedicure here instead of my regular place because it was closer to my home. I truly regret that decision. I am not very happy with the quality of the nail tech's work. I had paid $30.00 for a polish job that I could had done myself for FREE! I absolutely hate when nail shops try to revive old polish by either using acetone or a thinner as opposed to buying new polish. In my experience, thinned out nail polish appeared clunky because so many applications had to be applied to achieve the polish true color which led to hours of drying time which then lead to a smudged polish job and now you're back at square one. The tech did a rush job with my pedicure bcs she had become anxious to move on to the next customer. When I had informed the nail tech that the polish on one my toes was messy and did not cover my entire nail, she then grabbed the polish and began painting over the messy polish instead of removing the polish entirely to reapply properly (base coat, nail polish x2, top coat, etc...) I had to do I silent prayer in effort to remain respectful and to avoid my old self from coming out of retirement. I guess she had seen the look of frustration on my face because she then took action to properly reapply my polish. FINALLY to add insult to injury, she had then explained that the reason why my polish job had looked so bad was because my nail itself was not leveled and smooth--as if it was my fault. I had then asked her with an arched eyebrow, " So you didn't file or buff my nails evenly before applying the polish?" read more
