It seems he was related to one of the owners because a woman walked up to him and told him to make himself useful before he moved to the front desk and slept there instead. This was just odd and tanked my perception of value for this place. Somebody starts working on my pedicure and by the way she's handling the tools, I decided I didn't trust them with a Russian service and decided to do a regular gel pedicure and forget the manicure. When I asked to see the colors , I was brought just a few. When I asked to see more, I was told a lot of the colors are 'bad polish' I just wanted a light pink and that just was not available. The pedicure itself was good. She did a nice job and was very friendly. However, I ended up spending full price ($70 after tip) for what really was a discount experience. I truly would not have left such a tough review if the price came out to be what it was worth which in my opinion is about $45-$50.

The shop is right on Fondren with plenty of parking available. You can walk in or make an appt ahead of time but they always have some availability. The shop is clean but there's no extra frills to distract you like at other shops. They have a few chairs and maybe 3-4 techs working at a time. They offer you a beverage and get right to business. Each time I'm left feeling good because the experience is great. Their prices are similar to old times ($40- gel pedicure and $25- regular manicure). If you're looking for a shop, check them out!

Kamy at the front desk was incredibly helpful and so involved in the process -- she helped me choose colors that best suited my skin tone and matched my reference photos as closely as possible. We tried about five different polish options before finding the perfect one, and she even asked another technician to help confirm the most accurate chrome color. I really appreciated how thoughtful and thorough she was. Amy, my nail tech, was equally amazing. She was extremely diligent with the prep work and made sure my nails felt super clean and well-buffed before starting. She checked in multiple times to make sure I was happy with the shape, length, and cut before painting, which made me feel very confident and cared for. She was working on another customer's cut and color by herself (she used to have someone helping with shampooing). I showed her a picture of how I wanted my haircut -- long layers, clearly blended. Unfortunately, when I got home, I noticed the layers were uneven and didn't blend well at all. The cut just didn't turn out the way I hoped, especially considering the higher price. I even called the next day to share my feedback, but she gave reasons for why it turned out that way instead of really listening. Hair will grow, but after this experience, I think it's time to find another salon that knows how to cut and blend layers properly.
