From the airport we took the easily accessible A21 bus (@HK33.5) to reach the hotel. Our front row seats on the bus upper provided an enjoyable hour-long preview of the fascinating city. The bus dropped us off at stop #11, steps from the hotel on Nathan Road, the busy main Kowloon thoroughfare. The hotel, actually located on a nondescript alley (Saigon Street), is a very convenient location, the Jordan metro subway station is a short walk (250m) from the hotel. There's an abundance of shops and eateries close by, in fact a 7-Eleven and several restaurants sit right across from the hotel. The bell/concierge desk is on street level while the front desk lobby is upstairs via an escalator. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Our room on the 13th floor is quiet and comfortable with a couch and a desk, in addition to the bed. Window view is of neighboring buildings. The room provides a universal adopter. There is not much storage space. We tried the lunch buffet at the lobby restaurant that seemed popular with wait lines. While there were many selections including sashimi, prime rib, and shrimps, it was generally unimpressive and underwhelming, with several dishes over-cooked, dried-up or not replenished. Perhaps it was an off day when we visited. We enjoyed our draft beer at the quiet and cozy lobby Tasca bar (happy hour from 6-8 pm daily). In-room WiFi was reliable and fast. And housekeeping was excellent in keeping our room clean and well-supplied. Complimentary bottled waters daily. According to signage, the hotel water quality is certified safe to drink. Overall, we had a nice stay. read more
