Located at the bottom floor of the Regal Hotel, this place seems super high class for a buffet place.
When I went, their speciality of the day was Vietnamese Noodles. Basically, they were serving pho. But that's not all they had. They also offered Dreyer's ice cream (vanilla, mint chip, mango, chocolate, and strawberry), fancy salads, crab legs, roast beef, fondue, sushi, soups, fruits, cakes, lobster, lamb, steamed fish, etc.
Pros:
-A lot of "bird nest" infused foods. So seemingly expensive.
-No limit on how much you can get crab legs. Sweet.
-Service people always took away plates when finished, and refilled water on the spot. (I mentioned service because people care about service).
-Service also takes away foods when you seem like you're completely done with the plate (they'll ask first) that are half eaten because you don't want to eat it anymore.
-I don't think waste here is a problem at this establishment, so no extra charge for foods you didn't finish (but just to be sure, don't take more than you can eat).
-This sesame sauce in this tiny vegetable dish near the salads area. Bomb.
Cons:
-Expensive. So, so expensive. (518 HKD for dinner on Monday-Thursday).
-Not as much variety of foods you'd expect.
-Bread was stale. Bad.
-The check took forever to come back... 15-20 minutes forever...
-Drinks are not included. You'd have to pay an extra 48 HKD for sodas and juices. If you want beer to be included along with the sodas and juices, that's 58(?) HKD.
I ate a bunch of desserts, and I can tell you that most of the desserts in the refrigerator were not that great. The only ones I liked were the Tiramisu because of the strong black liquid coffee taste on the bottom, the Green Tea Cheesecake (wish it was colder though), and the Creme Brulee.
The macarons were especially sweet, same for the ice cream.
Overall, it was okay. I wish they had more main dish options...
