This restaurant is crazy. It's located in a commercial building, very professional looking, with a security and front desk in the lobby, just like a high end office building. Within the building, there were a few levels of shopping and Greater China Club was located on the 9th floor. There were no signs out front, nothing that would indicate that there's a fine dining restaurant on the 9th floor, just a name plate on the building directory. It was very unassuming, it wasn't located in a shopping district. I was told these buildings were all old warehouses and defunct factories when all the manufacturing jobs got out of HK, restaurants like these would pop up in its place.
Upon walking in, I notice this was an extra fancy pants place. The décor was exquisite, it looked as though you are walking into a palace hallway. When you do walk in, all the staff members will turn to you, and each one will greet you with a SMILE. That's unheard of in HK. needless to say, service was excellent.
It does looks as though they have an Italian dining room as well serving Italian food. I peeked, the room was a work of art.
There is a small dining room for the general seating, for about 10-15 tables. All the other seating are in private rooms. The walls were lined with wine-fridges.
We were seated in a private room where we had about 25 people in our party. Food was very good, some were excellent. Some of it may be even a little over the top. The dining experience we had was suppose to be like a royal family's dinner, with over 13 courses. The appetizer had 6 different dishes itself. For the price, at $11,888 HKD for a party of 12, I dunno if it was worth it, but it was fantastic. read more
