I was attracted to this cafe because of the '70s decor, and I thought it would serve really awesome classic Hong Kong style cafe foods. Boy was I wrong. Although the decor was spot on, I can't say the same about the food. I had a steamed meat cake with preserved veggies, and it was the first one I've had that wasn't salty enough. Usually the preserved veggies are enough to make this a very savory dish, but it wasn't the case here. Their tomato soup was more spicy than tomato-y. I also ordered a yin yang as a drink, and I didn't event finish that because it tasted so off.
Unless you're starving and have no other options (for whatever reason), I would skip this looks-over-substance cafe. read more
