Unfortunately we missed the tea time special by 9 minutes but it was fine, because everything was still pretty affordable. I like how they don't charge extra if you do the combo meats. We ordered a plate of the roasted goose rice and a plate of the cha siu with crispy roasted pork rice. I also liked how they offer extra rice or less rice, and extra sauce or less sauce on the rice. The roasted goose was pretty good but not sure if I was unlucky or goose in general is pretty lean, but my pieces were mostly bones. I think I only had like 5 pieces with a good amount of meat while the rest were skin and bones. The crispy roasted pork was actually my favorite out of all three meats. The skin was very crispy while the meat had the perfect amount of fat.

Empire City Roasted Duck gave us splendid service and took care of us so much that I was a little in shock with how much I love and want to go back here when I'm in Hong Kong. I know that seems so weird to be eating duck in Hong Kong but I mean I eat duck in California here so why not in Hong Kong too! We waited a few minutes before the store opened for dinner, and there was already about 15 people outside also waiting for them to open. Once we told the from person that it was for three people and we didn't make a reservation they still sat us down quite quickly. The duck and food here is so good and at the time they were having a Chinese New Year special so we ordered that. The duck soup is so tasty and so is the duck. Overall it was a super duper great experience and I want to come back for sure. Tip- Call in and make a reservation if it's for a weekend because they actually will be full of people. I came on a weekday and it was pretty busy so I can imagine that the weekend is packed.

Bottom half is the way to go. But it's way greasier than expected, and the skin wasn't as crispy as I imagined it would be. We also ordered half/half mix of the char siu and crispy pork so that we got to experience both of those without ordering too much of one thing. Crispy pork could've been fattier, but it was still good with decent crisp in the skin. Their HK milk tea is the first one I tried while visiting overseas and it had a heavier tea taste compared to some of the other ones I tried at other places later on (which can be totally subjective and better if you prefer a heavier tea taste). Service wasn't that great in my opinion, but I believe it's the standard semi-rude/impatient Asian service that you'd expect at most places in Hong Kong. Food and drinks came quickly. Limited seating and packed completely when we went, but had a short wait time (quick turnover). You are seated close to other customers, but it didn't feel overbearing. They take Visa. If you like roast duck and want to try roast goose, this place is probably worth a shot.

I really don't understand why this place is so popular…read more The roast goose looked great, but that's about it. The skin wasn't crispy at all, and it was unbelievably greasy--oil was literally dripping everywhere. There was barely any meat, and after a couple of bites, all I had left were bones. The taste was okay, but definitely not worth the hype. The biggest issue is the price. You're paying premium prices for average food and tiny portions. It feels like they're counting on tourists who probably won't be back anyway. The restaurant itself is clean and nicely renovated, but that's pretty much the only positive. The service was by far the biggest disappointment. After I asked for a glass of water because the food was so greasy, the two employees at the ordering counter started making comments about us instead of simply helping. Our table was right next to the counter, so we could hear everything they were saying. It honestly felt intentional, as if they wanted us to hear them. I've never experienced something so rude over such a simple request. What makes it even worse is that they charge a service fee. I'm perfectly fine paying for good service, but if you can't even bring a customer a glass of water, what exactly is that service charge for? Taking orders and bringing food to the table is just the bare minimum. To top it off, after finally getting a table, we were told to go wait by the entrance again. The whole experience was disorganized and frustrating. Overall, this place is incredibly overrated. Hong Kong has countless small neighborhood restaurants serving better roast goose, at better prices, with friendlier service. I'd rather spend my money there than come back here. Would not return, and definitely wouldn't recommend.

The roast goose was good but not mind blowing. Originally we were confused how the menu worked and was going to get one plate each of the goose but the staff were like one dish is enough for the two of you haha.
