While the Chinese name of the restaurant hasn't changed, the English name has, and is now called Papa Deli. When I walked along Gresson Street from Johnston Road, I actually walked past the restaurent because I couldn't find the Chomega restaurant sign! NOTE: It's now called Papa Deli.
The menu reminds me of the one from Campers, though the restaurant atmosphere is something straight out of a local HK cha Chaan teng: somewhat cold and unfriendly service. Just a "what's your order" "here's your food" kind of place. Though, if you are looking for a healthy place to dine in Wan Chai that won't break your wallet, I highly recommend Papa Del (previously Chomega).
While I saw a majority of diners order noodle soups, and it being the middle of a hot summer, we opted for the curry plate: a beef rendang plate with added scrambled egg and a fried chicken plate in an apply curry sauce. Each plate came with a good amount of veggies, which I wholeheartedly appreciate, compared to the single strip of bok Choi and half a baby tomato that you see at local CCTs. The rice is multi grain. My fried chicken was a little bit tough and difficult to cut, but collectively the food is very good for the price. read more
