The anglicized name should probably be "Sham Sham" (#1) given that this place is a nod to one of my favorite neighborhoods in HK, Sham Shui Po (深水埗). Chinese dessert places will always be popular, especially in Kowloon, and the classics are well represented here.
Because they're open only in the evening till midnight each night, this is one of the neighborhood's most popular after-dinner spots. Seating feels tight, but they've managed to do well with the group seating. Since there is a wait almost always, a little patience and luck go a long way.
I don't recall an English menu, but they also have a picture menu for anyone who may struggle reading in Chinese. When in doubt, find a picture online of something that looks good and that will always suffice. Service is lukewarm at best and cash / alipay / octopus card is mostly preferred.
For most of the classic Chinese desserts, I think they did a good job. The mango grass jelly (芒果仙草凍加雪糕) with ice cream is one of their best options, along with the traditional black sesame sweet dumplings (石磨芝麻糊拼湯丸). I'm also partial to anything with sago (西米), and the variations they have range from hot and cold, and with/without ice cream. (#2)
