We made a last minute reservation for Crystal Lotus, so we were unable to order the Disney dim sum…read more(though reading the reviews, it's probably a good thing). The restaurant is upscale and tranquil, a nice change from the frenzy of the park. We ordered a la carte - char siu baos, wonton noodles, crispy rice with seafood in lobster broth and the seafood laksa. I didn't try the char siu baos nor the wonton noodles since those were wolfed down by my daughter. The crispy rice with seafood was nicely done. I would pass on the seafood laksa though. It's pretty pricey though, considering what they charge inside the park, about right. Food is much better than what you find in the park.

Highly recommend dining here for Disney fans. The dim sum buns are so cute (maybe not too much…read morefilling) but overall the food at Crystal Lotus is beautiful, tasty and very well done. The service was attentive and atmosphere is beautiful. Preorder the dim sum set (it's a very hearty meal) or order ala carte. We love Chinese food and felt the meal was very authentic. Loved the soup as it reminded me of homemade soup. Loved the special Disney touches. One pays for the special touches but totally worth it (especially comparable to other nice park restaurant), Crystal Lotus was stellar. The next time we come, we will order Ala carte to try other dishes we saw that looked amazing! Reservations avail on the HK Disney app or on Resy. Dim sum set that we had must be preordered and prepaid.

Not sure why this restaurant is so hyped up when it's really so mid. The restaurant is in a dank…read morebasement that is absolutely freezing and everyone kept their jackets on. The bathroom was also super weird, narrow and awkward and so dark that you can't see anything. Of the 2 stalls only one of them had toilet paper in a little roll that wasn't even properly attached to the toilet paper holder. The overall vibe is loud, "club-like," and kind of ratchet, there was a table quite far away from us but the customers were so clearly drunk and loud that the entire restaurant could hear them. We haven't even gotten to the food-- which was below average all around. We had pre-ordered the typhoon crab in advance and it was very expensive, was so over-seasoned, and the crab was not fresh at all. The bbq roast pork (char siu) was okay but incredibly oily and we couldn't finish it. The only passable entree was the fish, but even that was just a steamed fish and nothing to write home about. The service was okay, nothing spectacular but polite enough. The other nice thing was that we got these cute little mah jong desserts and I liked that the outside wall of the restaurant was decorated in mah jong pieces. But overall, this restaurant was my least favorite during our Hong Kong trip and it's just overhyped.

Ho Lee Fook is a Cantonese fusion Michelin starred restaurant in Central. The place looks nice,…read morebut a bit gaudy. The bathrooms are cramped and kind of awkward. Service is friendly and relatively efficient. But for this price point and the coveted Michelin star, I would expect more. The food quality is so-so. The chicken wings were tender but lacking in depth of flavor. Just salt and a ton of chili peppers. The char shu roasted pork was ok. It wasn't as greasy as others but it was also a bit dry. It was really no better than any other roasted pork we found at random restaurants all over HK. The crispy cheong fan noodles were a bit greasy but flavorful and different. Let's talk about pricing. We went on a Sunday night and we booked early so we did not have a minimum spend. But it seems any bookings now have an 800HKD/pp minimum. They slap a 10% service charge on everything and they basically require you to buy an 88HKD bottle of water. Sorry, they're just not that good.

This is a popular place that's been here for a long time. While the rest of Kennedy Town is going upscale with new places opening up everyday, I think this will be one of the old places that will stick around because of all the customers they have.

If you walk by on a Friday or Saturday evening, there's a crowd outside trying to get in. There's really no queue order. Just seat yourself if yourself if you can. Personally, I'm intimidated by the staff. They work fast and my Canto isn't as strong. So when they ask me a question (in slang), I had to ask them repeat or what it means. Maybe it's best to order it all in English. There is an English menu and local uni students love this place. It's cheap and judging from the amount of gratitude certificates on the wall, 可可店 enjoys giving back to the community too. On the menu, you'll find anything typical Cantonese. From noodles to fried rice, congee to snacks and dessert; they even serve traditional Cantonese dishes from 6pm to 1am at a bargain compared to the local razzle dazzle cha chaan tang. I think the "Yelp Loves Us" sticker on their door proves it a solid 5 stars!

Located in the new territory of Hong Kong…read more This institution is well known for their signature roast goose. There is a private parking lot that they will validate with your meal purchase. The staff is very rushed with the volume of customers to the degree of being rude. The staff is very gossipy and will talk of customers that they feel not understand in the area. They will also rush you out once you put down your chopsticks to get the next round of customers in... definitely not a relaxing environment for a family meal or date night. The area has the nostalgic feel as there has been very little renovations to update the feel. The seating is spacious but does fill up quickly with the volumes of tourists looking to sample their goods. We ordered a few dishes but the main star - Roast goose fell flat on its face. The goose was DRY and very tough (read - chewy). There was very little taste even with the generous duck Au jus on the plate. For all the hype, I am not really sure what I was supposed to ooh and ahh about... I will give them credit of crispy skin... but I am not here for Peking duck. Pack your explanations away when visiting this famed establishment to save the eventual disappointment of food and rudeness of the staff.
