My HK relatives and I took a boat to 坪洲 aka Peng Chau as part of our sightseeing day tour. It is a small island located off the NE coast of Lantau Island, Hong Kong.
Hoi King Seafood Restaurant is located right by the pier as you walk into the village. We have decided to grab some morning dim sums here! It is a very busy restaurant, people literally sitting at makeshift majong tables and foldable tables out on the alley/streets. Is that even legal? lol. They set up our table right in front of an HSBC bank (see photo!) I guess it is their normal hahaha
Once you settle down, they will give you a dim sum sheet to go and get your own dim sum. Everything is freshly made, steaming hot, and ready to go! You can even get some dim sums that you can no longer get at modern day dim sum restaurants. For example, Giant Chicken Bun, and Quail Egg Siu Mai.
When you are ready to pay, take your dim sum sheet inside, and pay at with the cashier. read more
