As far as HK Cafes go, Hung Lee (洪利) was probably somewhere in the middle. While I'd venture to say that the food, service, and prices were average, the fact they were also large, clean, and open at all hours made them an easy destination for casual bite.
It's a mix of some locals who live/work in the area and since they're across from the now Oasis Avenue - GuangDong Hotel (#1), it's also a hub for tourists. They occasionally have roast meats in the window, which is enough to get some folks to come in.
The place is spacious. It's not exactly that group friendly since most of the tables are small'ish booths. It's super low key in here and the fluorescent lighting is obnoxious to a point where it's not obvious if it's day or night outside (#2). Love the Japanese style sliding doors though.
I usually stuck to breakfast type items here, so congee, cheung fun rice noodles, wonton noodles, or fried rice. Everything else is a big gamble and is usually fairly mediocre. I've ordered hainanese chicken, scrambled egg with shrimp, and claypot rice here before and it was all super underwhelming. I haven't fared well with the curry dishes either and the Canto BBQ meats are also bland as well.
And the rest of the other eateries along Prat are either closed earlier and lack a lot of variety they offer. (#3) While I've frequented this spot often in the past, I don't foresee myself coming back for awhile.
