This hotpot place is inside a public low-income project housing's street market in Chai Wan, Hong Kong. A very local place won't see tourists much. They charge a very affordable price for AYCE and Drink hotpot. You can sit there until they close. The price is only HK$150 per person.
The hotpot included varieties of clams, shrimps, scallops, crabs, fishballs, meatballs, chicken, pork, beef, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. Most drinks were all you can drink in the fridge. My focus was the seafood, it was very fresh and very sweet. We had just the clear soup based, so we can taste the freshness of the seafood.
The location is not close to the MTR but you can take NWNBus Route 8 from Wan Chai or Causeway Bay on Hennessy Road and the bus will take you to the front of the building the street market. It is an indoor street market with air-conditioning. You will need to get your own food and drinks. Expected it is not going to be a quite place to eat. There might be groups of very loud people around you but don't worry, it is just the way it is! It is a safe place !!
Do not expect a nice restroom because this is a street market. There are seated toilets and squat toilets! Personally, I hate squat toilets and I don't want to comment about it. The seated toilet is considered acceptable if you compare to other street markets!! read more
