A few years ago when I was travelling in Calgary, Canada, I came across this Hong Kong Style Cafe called Cafe 100%, I was very impressed with their authenticity especially in Calgary, one would usually related Hong Kong Style this and that in Richmond, BC but I guess, the popularity is moving Eastward too!
Back to Hong Kong, as I found out later that the chain is actually from Canada!! Funny how these things travel and come to a full circle! The boss that started all this originated from HK, moved to Canada established a chain of restaurants with lots of success and see the opportunity to come back to his hometown!
Food here is above average in the some level of Cafes, their variety is slightly different then the old standby and is really worth exploring, as you can see, we ordered some pretty basic stuff just to give it a try and all the dishes did not disappoint!
I especially like their Mini-Shabu Shabu, for HK$79.00 / US$10.00 you get a personalized hotpot that you cook your own meal, I opted for the Beef & Pork combo and it was delicious!!
Located in a shopping mall in Chai Wan district, we can usually find parking on the streets without too much trouble, and if you wish they also have parking which can be validated when you spend a certain amount at the mall! read more
