Nice enough inside, but they've also stopped cart service. They instead have "carts" that they just park in the middle of the restaurant, and you have to take your order sheet and walk up to to choose dim sum and load onto a tray. Not the same... That said I'm definitely glad I made it here before they close.

However, they charge tea for anyone over 3 years old even if only 1 person in your group drink tea? My 2 daughters don't drink tea (7 and 11) and they still will charge you for it. I have not heard of any 3-year-old that would drink tea. Also $15 for a bottle of water? Total money grab.

Maybe I should have ordered individual dishes, but even their signature baked crab dish was too creamy and salty. Service was also lacking in my mind. The waiters seemed unenthusiastic and often would place the next dish without a word or a simple phrase like "dessert" without any additional comments or explanation... and often had a tense or unfriendly expression. It was also difficult to get their attention as they were often times hard to locate. Yes this is Hong Kong, but this is not a cha chaan teng, and i guess I expected a bit more quality in service and food from a former michelin starred restaurant.

I am so glad we had an opportunity to dine here. I do recommend you make a reservation. We tried to dine there again on our last day but everything was booked. They were able to fit us at 11:45 and even allowed us to order the Peking duck with no advanced notice. You must do so 24 goes in advance. Unfortunately the time did not work well for us so we cancelled the last minute reservation. We had their crispy half chicken the best I had while in HK. I ordered this dish everywhere! The Golden Leaf's was crispiest and the skin looked like glass! While the chicken was still very juicy! The mixed fried rice delicious! Our waiter was very sweet as they were almost closing getting ready for dinner dining offered us some more rice they had. I was too full but my fiancée was very happy to accept some more. I highly recommend this place even if you aren't staying at the Conrad give this place a try it will be worth it!

It's basically an extra premium for the upscale environment and the views. We arrived shortly after 9am on a Sunday and there was no wait for a table. The entrance is kind of hard to find since it's not on the main street. You have to meander through a small yard first before arriving at the entrance to City Hall.

Sauce is often the soul of French cuisine; surprisingly, it is also the case for the Chinese food served at Man Ho. You do not have to dip your dim sum with sauce because the sauce is within the wraps. While my friend is not a vegetarian, she falls in love with the steamed porcini mushroom dumplings that have the delicate flavor of Chinese soy sauce. Deep-fried spring rolls with minced Wagyu beef, onion and black pepper is the highlight of the meal. My friend and I are so impressed by the exterior crunchiness of the spring roll, the interior butteriness of the beef and the highlight of the Wasabi sauce within the roll. Nonetheless, we are disappointed by the barbecued duroc pork loin with honey sauce. Ideally in HK, char siu is smoked at a lychee wood oven. However, the char siu at Man Ho is cooked at an electronic oven, leading to the lack of crispy exterior. But side by side, Ye Shanghai has a better XLB, at least by Hong Kong standard, which always prizes a thin wrapper. We ordered a variety of other dishes, from wine chicken to shanghai noodles, and they are all quite delicious, and compare favorably to the same dish I've tried elsewhere. The only downside is, as you can imagine from its location, that this place is pricier. The pork belly wrapped with fragrant leaves is melt-in-your-mouth succulent, but not cheap at HKD30 (about US$4) for piece slightly over 1" cube in size.

Roasted duck had delicious crispy skin. I had never seen waygu beef in a soup dish before. The soup was mixed with vegetables, little spicy, but full of flavor. The service was top notch at the restaurant. All the staff members were super attentive, making sure water glasses/ tea cups were full all the time, cleaning out empty dishes and helping guests with all other requests. Dishes were served in short time, only the baked crab cake took long. The restaurant also gives 20% discount Marriott Bonvoy members. They also have some half priced dishes for Bonvoy members as well.
