Most everyone knows them as their far less interesting and awkward (#1) name, "Tasty Congee and Noodle Wantan Shop." For a good decade and then some, this place was complete chaos: long lines, service mishaps, and inconsistent food. SInce the self order kiosks were introduced years and the recent expansion of the East Hall seating, thus resulting in a much more organized experience. Wonton noodles have always been one of their best options. It's been a morning / lunch staple and a sure thing for first timers. Their congee has been excellent a majority of the time, along with somes solid stir fried options from noodles to shrimp and egg. They also have beef brisket, Where they suffer a bit is with the Chinese BBQ (siu mei), in which it's lacking severely, which doesn't fare well given its the priciest item. If one is desperate for goose and bbq pork, this may work in a pinch. Don't bother with the Hainanese chicken. Trust me. Like all things at the airport, it's a bit overpriced. The kiosks accept all major forms of payment and is far more English friendly than ever. While coming to the airport really hungry should always be avoided (#2), there are more convenient options than ever. ___________ (#1) Grammatically anyway. (#2) Even lounge food is rarely excellent. Eat before arriving.

We grabbed a quick meal before boarding and ordered the essentials: the BBQ Pork (Char Siu) and the Wonton Noodles. * The Food: Absolutely heavenly. The BBQ pork was so incredibly tender and flavorful--probably some of the best I've had. The wontons were perfect comfort food. * The Process: Super efficient ordering system, which is great when you're watching the clock for a flight. You just order on the kiosk, wait for your number to pop up on the screen, grab your tray and condiments, and you're good to go. * The Vibe: The service was very friendly even though it's quick-service style. It's located in a huge airport eating area, so we had zero issues finding a table to sit down and relax. Definitely the best way to say goodbye to Hong Kong. Highly recommend!

But, of course, you don't think much of food when you're a kid. My friend and I came here on a rush for breakfast about 1.5 hours before my flight, but we wanted something nice as our last meal together. Although there was a queue, it went by surprisingly quick. Our food also came at a very quickly. We had the bbq pork steamed rice noodles, egg tarts, fried turnip cakes, and the sticky rice in lotus leaf with abalone. Subpar quality overall; the bbq pork steamed rice was a bit too watery and the fried turnip cakes had very mushy-like texture. The lotus leaf wrap was average--I think the only good thing going for it was the abalone, but was totally not worth it. They also forgot out pork buns, which was alright, since I was on a time crunch. To say that I've had some bad dim sum is an understatement. Maxim's Jade Garden wasn't terrible, but not as great as many people make this place out to be. Sure, you can see famous people. And you can people watch, too, but that's weird. It's overpriced dim-sum and if you have a flight that's not in the morning and you're craving dim sim, I would just suggest getting your dim sum fix while you're still in Hong Kong.
