Pretty decent place to stay while in Hong Kong. While it wasn't right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of other hotels, it proved to be just the right fit for our group. The amenities and accessibility to local establishments couldn't be beat.
Given that they build up in Hong Kong, the rooms were small, yet totally functional and perfectly equipped. The rooms are situated from floors 6-17 and you have great windows to people watch, from the neighbors across the way, to the basketball courts about a block away. It's always kind of neat to see how people go about their lives. Onward, the employees were always super professional and totally helpful. Especially when I got on the wrong elevator on the way down from the laundry room on the 18th floor. Fail on my part. Yes, there are laundry facilities! Great for the long-term traveler.
The hotel is close to public transportation, but we took cabs to and from the airport and a few times to go to some restaurants we all wanted to hit, as they were more convenient for our group. I could write a whole other review about the awesome nutty/cab /vans, but that's for another place and time. The other times, we hoofed it and discovered so many great bars and breweries filled with locals, expats, and tourists .After all, isn't that the best part of traveling?
Bottom line, I totally liked this place. The only downside was the empty vending machine. Thought we'd be able to get water there. No big, we were surrounded by local markets. Get your water, fruit, and snacks from there. read more
