I had to eat here again, and have my boyfriend experience it. There are quite a few Cafe de Corals - some locations are larger than others. This is one of my favorite locations - clean, big, and plenty of seating options. You order at a self-service kiosk (which can be daunting, since there are a lot of choices, but fun at the same time). Since it can be busy at times, I suggest looking at the menu online first. We ordered 2 Sizzling Steak Plate Sets, and 2 drinks (lemonade and red bean icy). The drinks were not great, but they do give you complimentary hot tea, which was nice. The steak plates were good, as well as the Borscht soup. It does come with a hot dog, but it was super bland.

I have been here twice and have both times ordered the pork which is traditional version of the sandwich. They also have some interesting drink choices which are all Vietnamese. You can order a Vietnamese beer to go with your sandwich, line soda, or a Vietnamese coffee. The banh mi here is very good. The french bread is on point. The pate has a nice creamy texture and is not gamy. They put scallions in there sandwich. I enjoyed it but this may not be for everyone. If I wrote this review after my first visit I would say that this is the best banh mi O have had in Hon Kong. However, the second time around the bread wasn't as fresh and didn't have the crunchy exterior that I hope for in a baguette. This is probably because I had the sandwich close to dinner time. I will definitely come back when I am craving a banh mi.

Anyhow, I wanted to have as much of a local HK experience as possible, hence ordering the egg, ham, instant ramen, and of course milk tea. The wait was quite long at about 10 minutes, considering it's instant noodles and eggs & ham. If you had ordered an "easier" breakfast, you could have just lined up and gotten your food, but my order was special hence I had to wait for my number to be called. I picked up my food and it was very standard egg, ham, and noodles. Nothing spectacular, but I did not expect anything more, it was a food court after all.

Laksa is basically rice noodles in curry soup. What's interesting at Sawadika is that they also offer "cart noodle". Think à la carte! Its a popular kind of noodle offered mostly in Hong Kong, where you can choose the soup base, the type of noodle, and pick your toppings. But unlike most Chinese cart noodles, here they also offer the curry soup base used for Laksa. I haven't seen à la carte Laksa anywhere else before, and they do it quite well here. This place is a nice decently-priced option if you want some warm food or something quick before you hit the bars nearby. The only downside is that they close pretty early. Although they close at 9pm, their kitchen stops taking orders around 8:30pm.
