Service is fast & furious, and fun! Generally nice people but can be a little curt at times. Tung Po offers tasty eats with "wok hay" bc that's how the food is made on high heat! Always get beer because it goes well with the food . All the uncles singing karaoke style to the music... it's a vibe! Decent pricing not overly expensive, great dinner option at the heart of Wan Chai.

The tasting menus look great, but I am not hungry enough to have a multi-course menu so I ordered a chicken and fish maw soup and a wagyu beef and foie gras fried rice in claypot. The meal started with a honey walnut snack and an amuse bouche of mini osmanthus cake. The chicken and fish maw soup was delicious and very filling, so I was halfway full by the time I finished eating it. I believe the restaurant calls it "Eight Treasures Soup" in English probably because there are 8 unique ingredients in it. The fried rice is so well made with a well-balanced portion of Wagyu beef and foie gras. I could smell the lovely fragrance of both the soup and the fried rice as soon as they were brought to the table. Service is also exemplary as the waiter and waitress were always attentive and quick when I needed their service. I highly recommend trying this restaurant for a superb Chinese cuisine dining experience.

I definitely recommend not missing out on it! I also enjoyed the bbq eel, especially how it was cut into bite sized pieces and grilled perfectly. We tried a couple of more adventurous dumplings like the tricolor dumpling set and lobster dumpling, which were very creative but ultimately kind of strange combinations of seafood and vegetables. We got mango sago for dessert as it's a popular Cantonese dessert, which was nice but not the star of the show. Service was polite, fast, and English-friendly. The restaurant is located in a hotel attached to a huge mall, so it was nice to shop around while waiting for our reservation time.

But for me it's different. A Hong Kong cafe is like heaven for a stoner who has the munchies (just to make it clear, I've never been stoned. At least not for a long time!) But I do see the appeal for someone with these cravings. Everything comes with gravy or some type of tomato sauce. They make Coke Cola ice creams floats. French toast squares with ice cream. Funky right? But we ordered: Baked Pork Chop: this was a decent version. I think one more pork chop in the entree would have made it complete. The tomato sauce with the rice was a nice blend. Mixed grill: this was my wife's entree and she didn't like it much. She said it was ok. Flat noodles: that's what it's called in the menu but I know it as Chow Fun. I always like this dish and Kam Kee makes it decent. Service was proficient and friendly. My wife said it's a three star eatery but what takes this place into four category is they put effort into the design or ambience of the cafe whereas many places don't invest in that. It's a nice looking restaurant with decently satisfying comfort food.

They've got the staples as well as some rarer stuff like the coconut steamed egg, fish balls and steamed fish head. When you hit lunch time, their roast meats are surprisingly good. Especially the meaty roast pork. It sounds silly but the meat flavor really comes through. Enjoy it while you can.

After we had ordered our food, they were more than friendly to us. Asking if I was from around here, what parts of America, can I speak Chinese, etc. Food here was so good!
