This is a good hotel to stay, workout area and pool have fabulous views. Breakfast in the morning has many options like Korean, continental, thai and Indian along with local Cantonese cuisine. You can watch the sun rise over the bay, go for a morning jog with the locals, public park is close by. There are few bars right next to the hotel and you can enjoy casual dining with great beer options. Getting to city center is 20 min taxi ride. The hotel seems to be popular with locals for the wedding receptions and photo shoots, that's the HK style.

I have stayed at Harbour Grand Kowloon twice, once when I was 13 and this past summer (August 2014). HG Kowloon is very westernized. Make no mistake, it's no Shangri-La, or Ritz Carlton but it is definitely only a minor step down from those westernized 5 star hotels. The rooms are a little bit old, compared to my last visit when I was in middle school. But the rooms are still very clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a very delicious expensive morning buffet (think almost $50 USD) daily and a coffee shop that will serve your caffeine fix if needed. The three things I most enjoy about Harbour Grand Kowloon: 1) The gym is top notch. I have been to many hotel gyms around the world & the equipment and scenic view of the HK harbour is unparalleled. 2) The pool and the view is NICE. Hotel staff gives you a towel on your way up to the pool deck, that is a nice touch. 3) There is a complimentary shuttle that takes you to and from the Tsim Sha Tusi If your looking to stay at a nice westernized hotel during your stay in Hong Kong that won't cost you a leg and an arm, try out Harbour Grand Kowloon.

An awesome experience in HK! The lobby is pretty grand! Very open and spacious! Amazing views of the harbor and city! Our room was perfectly cozy! Awesome shower pressure! A cozy his and hers robe and slippers. Yes! We had a great view of the waterfront. The breakfast buffet spread is pretty awesome. A good variety of food; Asian, American, and Indian. Fruits galore, salad, French and American pastries, an omelette bar, even pancakes, hash browns and crepes! If you're used to the thick flavored American bacon and sausages- you won't find it here. But it's not too bad. It's edible. Take what you can get! They have something for everyone...except lactose milk:( The breakfast buffet opens and 6:30am, amazingly many people start coming down at this time. Like myself, my time clock was very off due to the time difference. So an early breakfast was good planning on the hotel's part! Kudos! One thing I need to mention is the coffee. To me, it's like fuel. I'm not used to super unleaded coffee. The packaged coffee they provide in the room is less intense. But if you have a weak stomach...it might be a fast acting laxative...just saying. They also have quite a popular dinner buffet. We didn't go to the lunch, but the dining room is always filled with people. From afar I can see a nice array of seafood. Giant crab legs! We had dinner at the Harbor Grill. It's a much smaller restaurant, a bit intimate. The food was great, and service was excellent. Overall, we had an awesome visit. The hotel had friendly staff, provided great service and the food was good. I would definitely come back to this hotel!

When I booked the hotel, I thought it is away from the main Nathan Road in Kowloon and so maybe a little inconvenient. But to my surprise, the shuttle bus service made it wonderful. Each trip on the shuttle bus gives you a short ride to near the MTR station and a great view of the harbor along the waterfront. We can actually have a couple of trips a day, dropping off shopping stuff and freshening up before the going out again. Great location, grand view, And.... (another surprise), walking distance to the Whampoa shopping district which has a lot of local eateries and local shops. The hotel is beautiful. Stunning, I should say. Grand staircase in the lobby with the harbor view, I immediately screamed "Cinderella!" Rooms are spacious and clean. The harbor view is spectacular! Definitely worth paying a bit more for that view. I have all the curtains open all the time. That view, that view, you cannot have enough. Rooftop swimming pool, glass wall on one side, you can see the harbor from underwater, Stunning! Best swim with panoramic view of the harbor. Wow! We have not tried the restaurants yet. Hong Kong has some much good food of all sorts so we prefer to go around the city. So far, I am very happy with this hotel. It made me feel very happy from the time I wake up to bedtime.

I am very impressed with the elegant appearance of the lobby and the staff at the lobby. I was a little disappointed with our room, except the bed. I was also disappointed with the receiving staff upon our arrival and during our stay for a five star hotel. On our departure was when they demonstrated a five star service which is a bit too late. I have stayed at a four star hotel and had more elegant room and better service. The concierge was very helpful and very informative, though. The breakfast buffet was not impressive for a five star hotel. A lot of the food were cold which supposed to be hot. The quality of food was not at a five star standards.

Great stroll in the early am

Entrance is grand n impressive. Get the room w the view! They gave us 3 apples as our welcome gift. We're always greeted w friendliness. The valet in the fronts are quit a bunch of characters The shuttle bus takes u to tsim sha tsui - u can catch the MTR n pretty much go anywhere in HK & Kowloon. It runs 3x within the hour every 20 minutes. Early ones will take you to hunghom for other train transfers Breakfast buffet everyday from dim sum to mini rolls. There is a prepaid package w the room. Otherwise is about 200HK PER ADULT! We got our 4 plates full every morning We had a huge room - large tub and shower. Just wish there was a plug there for the hair dryer as well. There is no vent in the bathroom. So get PoopAway. I wish they have a few USB ports at the night lamps. So bring your charger with converter. There is a side cafe here serving up 1kal desserts that looks amazing. U can workout at the rooftop infinity pool or the gym - got to say, that gym is larger than most places they call gym. The pool is so much fun but will close if there is any threat of rain. If walking is your game, get up early to watch the locals do qigong exercises along the promenade. This place is located in Whompoa with all kinds of shopping, karaoke , Chinese, Japanese, Korean American Mediterranean cuisines all near by. The coffee shops don't open until 7:30 am. Tons of foot massage hair salon around - just be mindful, if u never done a massage from tuina masseuse be sure to tell them what kind of pressure u like The large salons are usually having a graduation function or wedding. We love seeing the weddings. Very colorful. There are live music here too. Don't know the schedule Have fun exploring!

A classsi Asian Style Harbour Hotel in Kowloon .Lobby is pretty modern even the pool deck . Rooms are little old fashioned . Beds could be more soft .Too much wood furniture in the room . View is great .

The cleaning staff here are great. This is what they did with my son's stuffies.

I had a good stay here. The rooms are slightly dated, but they're clean and functional. I also believe they're being updated. The restaurants are solid. The pool upstairs has an amazing view. The staff are friendly. I've attached a picture as an example.

View from the landing area at the base of the hotel.

This may be an older hotel, but it operates at a newer hotel level. The attentiveness of the staff and their overall responsiveness was really top notch. They were undergoing some renovations during my stay, so there was some disarray at the time. I also enjoyed a 2 hour Swedish Massage that was really well priced. Overall, I do plan on staying here again.

We had an unintended Staycation on our way to Shanghai. Our Dragon Air flight was delayed for 12 hours!!! GRRRR...Luckily Dragon Air accommodated us by putting us in a hotel in Kowloon. I'd say this was more than a nice place. I think most rooms overlook the harbour. The room they put us in was a suite and we had a panoramic view of the WEST side of HK Island! Pretty neat! Spacious room, 2 bathrooms, one small kitchen, comfortable furniture, and a super comfy king sized bed. Sadly we would only be enjoying this comfort for 5 hours. When we got up, we had a try of the breakfast buffet (compliments of Dragon Air as well). The buffet was ok! Can't expect too much...What I usually expect is inflated pricing. Anyway, for what it was, it is satisfactory to good. Various choices of cold cereals, four choices of dim sum, option to make a fresh omlet, various breads, pastries and danishes...You'd definitely get your fill. Would I choose to stay here if I was visiting HK? YES, Only thing is, it's too far from HK island. If I took the train here to get to Hong Kong Central Station, I'd estimate a 30 minute commute. Happy Travels!

Our mini bar was filled everyday and everything in it was delicious and complimentary. The breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor was a real, quality buffet. It had dim sum, traditional English breakfast items and American items as well. There was an omelette station, an udon station and a fresh juice station! This buffet was complimentary with our executive room. You could also enjoy breakfast upstairs in the Above & Beyond lounge, which we tried once. But it was a menu only option and the buffet was too good to forgo. Another perk of the executive room was the complimentary tea time and cocktail hour in the Above & Beyond lounge. The lounge was wonderful for a quiet breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails. And the minibar in the suite was well stocked with sodas, juices, water, tea and coffee. The suite was reasonably priced versus suites in other hotels and allowed an occupancy of two adults and two children. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The breakfast buffet had a huge variety and there was definitely something there for everyone. We enjoyed the various restaurants on the property and a couple of the dishes were outstanding. However, a day into our trip we had a rather big snafu with my father's mobility scooter breaking. Obviously this was going to affect our trip in Hong Kong, but Raymond, the Chief Concierge came to the rescue! He lent us a wheelchair to use and arranged for a rental scooter to be delivered to the hotel. He kept in touch with us throughout the week, giving us suggestions and making us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel. I can't say enough good things about Raymond, except kudos to you, sir. A++. You, alone are a reason I would return. The hotel was packed because of the Chinese New Year. I observed how well the staff worked with each other and the guests; it was a well oiled machine. There were some festivities in the lobby to celebrate and the general manager, Mr. Wipper was there. Ah it all made sense now. The extraordinary attention to detail and exquisite service came down from the top! It was clear this GM had standards and his staff respected that, and him. The airlines had cancelled our flights home because of expected bad weather. Bobby, the rooms manager, whom we had met upon arrival, didn't flinch.
