In the few places I stayed with my school trip, I like The Kowloon Hotel a lot. Yes, the rooms are small, and seems aimed towards business travelers, and it isn't especially posh, but I feel at home here. It's clean, not smoky (we were in mainland China, and smoking is allowed everywhere), and I love the fact there was a tub. Things are relatively new and sleek, they DO give you COMP water and the breakfast buffet is HUGE!!! It has Brit, Chinese and American favorites. Don't get me wrong, I loved mainland China, but familiar foods is very comforting, and they had both Chinese and American movies, and nice robes! I am very sensitive to noise, and I wasn't bothered by it one bit (maybe because I was super tired both times we stayed here). I would stay here again in a hearbeat - it's in an easy, central location - close to the big train station, the underground train and the airport. read more
