Uneven and messy polish today! Always go to Zyng. Usually awesome service. Today, not so much. I went in for a dip manicure and a pedicure. All my nails are filed on a slant for my manicure. Very uneven. Not happy to the point I went home and did my pedicure myself. Not something to stop me from going back, just a bad day it seems. read more

If you are of color stay away from here. They rush to the service white client. This is not the first time this happened!! Owner especially! I thought I was just overreacting, but not so!!! Clean environment, priority to white clientele. My daughter was seated and owner asked her to move to service another client who was white. Suburban nail salons seems to cater more to the white clients and people of color are pushed to the side, which makes us have to travel back to the urban area salons for services, no matter what your profession is. We should expect the same services!! Racism has really come forth!!! All covers are completely off!!! This world will never change!! I will "never" go back to this salon again! I had a gel mani/pedi on a Thursday and by Saturday morning both were chipping. I called the manager a couple days later just to share and to see if a fix was possible. The manager insisted that it must have been my fault! She told me to come back to the salon but by the time she finished making "me" to blame. I decided that I will take my business elsewhere. The salon is beautiful but the ethics/service is poor. It's my go to nail salon. I've been going there for many years. I have seen it change ownership. I have seen it get repainted and beautified. And I love it. I had gel nails done yesterday. She removed the old gel by partially sanding it off and using a polish remover. It came off quite easily. The quality of the work is superb. Probably the best gel polish I've ever had. The people that work there couldn't be nicer. I've been at salons where technicians talk to each other the whole time. It is not like that here. They are very respectful. It is a serene environment. first time coming here, and it's the best manicure i've gotten! i got a full set of acrylics, she scheduled me for an early appointment (8:15) and was done in just under an hour. salon is very clean, and prices were reasonable. Would not recommend. I arrived as a walk in for a fill and was sat pretty promptly which was nice. About 10 minutes later a woman who made an appointment comes in, and I'm subsequently asked to return to the waiting area covered in acrylic dust. the owner was very kind and did apologize to me. I finally get sat down again to a technician that came in to help as it got a bit more busy. He made the experience feel very rushed and he was extremely rough. He made my nail beds ache for hours and made my cuticle bleed after catching the sanding tool on it. Not only this but he would use the sander incorrectly and burn my nail beds as well. After all this suffering he didn't even smooth them out before painting them, resulting in a scratched matte manicure. Don't go here. PS the atmosphere is bland and just plain unwelcoming read more

I've been coming here for years. Always great but slowly going downhill. Today was the last straw. Inept technician again. Not going back.

I went here twice with my wife, the 1st time was Nov. 2021 and it was a very good experience. The 2nd was Feb. 2022 and it was not good, I requested the girl who provided excellent service the 1st time and they told me she was no longer there. When we arrived for our appointments they were not prepared, stopped to answer the phone about 5 times and clearly weren't paying attention. If they would have admitted their mistakes and offered a discount I would be willing to give them another try but they obviously did not care. I won't be going back. read more

It started off fantastic - called on a Sunday to see if they could fit me in. Unfortunately, they could not but she asked me what time Monday 8 or 9 - I could choose. Because I work on Monday I chose 8am. I arrived on Monday morning and realized they came early just for me! WOW! She started doing my nails and I let her know that I have sensitive nail beds ( I have been getting my nails done for over 20 + years so I have a little experience with different salons and "sensitive filing" with nail sanders). She was doing an ok job ... not super sensitive but I could handle the uncomfortableness, until the phone rang. She continued talking and sanding. At this point she went a little too hard and I quickly pulled my hand away due to a sharp pain on the nail. I let her know again that my nail beds are very sensitive.. her response "I am being sensitive - I came in early for you- if you don't think so, you can go somewhere else" I didn't say a thing - I just picked up my keys and walked out ... I'm not sure if she woke up in the wrong side of the bed this morning or if this is how she treats everyone everyday .... All I know is I let someone know I had sensitive nail beds ... she lost focus when she answered the phone .. I reminded her and she got aggressive... I don't recommend this place ... Oh wait did I mention when I sat down there were nail clippings from the night before still on the desk!!!!! Gross!!! read more

They just did a rush job on my daughter and didn't shape them the way she asked (she even showed them a picture to ask if it was okay - she's had it done several times before at other places) and was being rushed so my daughter was being too nice to bother them since they had already started painting. Also, one is slightly crooked. I feel bad because I told her to spend her money there - and she leaves for college in just a few days! read more

I went to have a pedicure and they cut my foot. I sat there with tears rolling out of my eyes.The technician saw my tears a day never said she was sorry and didn't offer me a tissue. Said I'd never go back. Like a dummy went ba k and got cut again and 6 month later I was in the hospital with a bacterial infection called ostomilits. So. I have been going here over the past 7 or so years - off and on - also with my daughter. Staff is very responsive and attentive. I have always been happy with the results - mostly do a manicure when I have tips and fills, occasional pedi. I have learned it is best to set up an appointment - mornings seem to be best. I had full manicure done at this place and paid $60 for it plus $10 tip. Less than two weeks later my nails began chipping and the polish coating breaking up. When I went to have it fixed they charged me $30 for the repair work. This shop does shoddy work and does not stand behind its work. \ DO NOT go to this place! read more

This place was so inappropriate and beyond rude . They gave me an untrained man to do my pedicure - but I was willing to be patient. He spoke in another language to see what to use to even start. But then he turned my feet blue by putting the tabs in the water as I sat and had to try to wash it off when I alerted him. Then he never used any other products but a finishing lotion - no exfoliation. When I calmly alerted the manager, she began to yell that this is normal and sometimes they change what they use even tho I showed her that the woman next to me was being given the normal pedicure with exfoliating green scrub. Not very welcoming- difficult to understand and was a walk-in asking for a pedicure. After only about the first 3 minutes, my technician cut me and my foot started bleeding. Another tech had to tell her what to do to stop the bleeding. Whatever she used, it stung like crazy. So now I have a big scab with my pedicure. Today I went to Zyng for a manicure and pedicure...have been there quite a few times before and the service has been good...have had some really great techs who unfortunately are no longer there...got there around 1020 (appointment was for 1030), and waited a few minutes. There were only three operators at that time (a 4th came in around 1050). The tech who I had today was very rough, did not take her time, and hurt me a few times when trimming. She was constantly getting interrupted and forgetting what she was doing. She stopped to handle money and answer the phone and never changed her gloves. I only got polish on my toes, and that was somewhat sloppy and rushed. The manicure was awful...very rushed and incomplete...needed to finish the filing when I got home... I was in and out in less than an hour...worse mani pedi I ever had...if I could give them a 0 I would...no where near worth the money they charged for the service...will not be going back read more

They are only money driven and not concerned with customer satisfaction. They talk about customers while they are working. They don't help customers even if busy due to "taking of turns ." Asked the owner to help me with fragile nails because of medical issues my nails are extremely fragile and they were unwilling to accommodate.. will not go back. read more

This is a fantastic neighborhood nail salon. I have been going for manicures and pedicures for over 5 years and have never been disappointed. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly. The prices are more than competitive and the pedicure is the best in town. I really enjoyed getting my nails done here with my daughter until we both got nail fungus. We went maybe three times for pedicures. I showed the person doing my nails who showed the lady in charge, she caused a scene insisting that she was very experienced and knew it was not fungus... well it was, proven by a culture from the doctor. Great prices, clean facility, and friendly staff! Only subtracted a star because you can't tip on a credit card (must do cash) and overall, the place, while clean, is very bland. However, they spent more time on the massaging/buffing/cleaning part of my pedicure than any other place, even those that charge 2-3x as much. My spa pedicure was so relaxing and only cost $25 (plus tip). I will definitely be going to Zyng for my pedicures from now on! read more

i used to get my eyebrows waxed here... until they made them as thin as a toothpick. i generally have pretty thick eyebrows that people are always complementing me on, but once they waxed them too far, i haven't gone back. the employees can be rude, nail quality is poor. but the one perk is that it's very fast and you can have a walk in. read more
