Ask for Paul or Bobby. Bobby does my husband's hair. He has thick, curly, and rebellious hair but always leaves looking groomed. I had a blow dry with him and he is awesome with ladies hair as well. The styling was perfect on exit and held for several days. Paul currently does my hair. I have damaged (thanks to previous salon work) bleached/toned roots and extensions. Paul is detail oriented, conscientious, cooperative, and (probably most important to a salon buff) he listens. Most straightforward stylist I've had and I've had more than a few over the last 12 years. Overall salon: ambience is nice, prices average for most good salons in area. Comfortable waiting area, coffee, good variety for products (lots of Redken, which I consider a plus). Staff is friendly and helpful. Clean and well lit. Love this place and highly recommend! read more

I'm sad to write this review because my stylist seemed sweet. I was in search for a new salon and wanted a pretty easy cut and color. I showed my stylist photos of the color I was going for and the cut. She seemed to think it was easy enough so charge forward. I told her I don't mind warm tones like gold but I don't like red tones on me. She said she understood. While my hair processing I schedule for my next appointment. Get shampooed and she cuts my hair. I tell her to give me some long layers again, that it's been awhile since my last cut. She finished, curls my hair with a small barrel curling iron after she attempted but I guess got to tired to round brush my hair. My hair is dry and I see a strong dark red tone to my hair. My only saving thought is she used a semi permanent hair color on me so I'm praying it'll fade fast. Which is confusing on its own because I thought I was getting permanent color. She asks me if I want to go shorter with my layers after my hair is completely in small curls. I hesitate to say yes. How is my haircut going to be accurate when your cutting my hair dry, styled in a way I never wear my hair? However so much length was cut off and with barely any layers my hair was looking like a mop just hanging there. My thought is maybe shorter layers will give it some movement. She went to the back of my hair and took off another inch for layers. Just from the back!!!! Nothing anywhere else. I'm done this appointment and I say, " It's more red than I wanted, maybe no red next time." She says, "Oh ok, I'll make a note about that." Did you not make a note about it in our consultation!! I was going to give her another try on my next appointment until, I get home wash my hair because it's styled bad. I'm blowing drying my hair and it's completely UNEVEN. All over layers on the left but not as much on the right and long random strands. Even my length is uneven. I spoke to another stylist and she said there is a hole in my haircut on the right side. Unless I wanted to go much shorter I should try and grow it out. I call the salon to cancel my future appointment. I informed them I have to get my hair fixed somewhere else and the receptionist says, "Sorry about that." Yeah I'm sorry too, I paid my hard earn money and clearly you have no remorse or sympathy for your clients. Guess I'm growing out my hair and waiting for my color to fade read more

I went here at the beginning of the summer in desperate need of a cut for my curly hair. My stylist did an amazing job. She really took the time to look at my hair and give it a great cut. I wasn't a huge fan of how she styled it for me, but the cut has lasted almost 2 months so far looking great. I hope to get back in a couple weeks before I move. Hair gets 5 stars. I can recommend this place for all you curls out there. However. My mom got a manicure and wowza, what a disaster. First, my mom asked if she could get her nails done while I had my haircut, and the receptionist gave her plenty of attitude about how they don't take walk-ins. Uh..you could just say no? But they fit her in and proceeded to give a mediocre manicure, which honestly, there is no excuse for. Not to mention it was ridiculously expensive. My mom isn't one to complain ever, but we agreed that we'll stick to the cheaper nail salon closer to home. And to top it off (no polish pun intended) the manicurist made a racist comment about my recent trip to Asia. Uh, seriously? Nails get 1 star. read more

Highly recommend! Nikki has been my stylist for 13 years and does my whole family. She did all of our hair for prom and continues to do our hair today. She is very experienced and has a great relationship with all of her clients. She literally does my entire family and some friends. Although I don't get my hair done often, I have long hair, whenever I come into the salon I am always so excited to see Nikki and the rest of the staff. I wouldn't trust my hair anywhere else! read more

I came to this salon for my friends wedding to get hair and makeup done. I am not from the area and had no idea what to expect but was very pleased to see such a beautiful clean salon with friendly staff. All the girls hair looked beautiful. We had an issue when the makeup artist was a no show but the manager took really good care of us and handled it very professionally. They got the bride an appointment immediately at another salon so she didn't have to stress about it. Overall it was a great experience. read more

You are better off going to the Hair Cuttery, at least then you get what you pay for. I went in for a trim only to have my hair cut shorter on one side than the other.Which is pretty noticable when you get a bob. Additionally, instead of getting an angled bob- (short in the back, long in the front) she made the sides the longest! The young lady also burned my scalp with the blowdryer- it was tender for days! I went to another salon for an emergency haircut to fix all that went wrong here. After my scalp healed from the burn of course. read more

I went for a bridal trial run, today and I'm extremely disappointed. My stylist (Amy) must need more experience because I literally had to show her how to do my hair. Mind you, I have normal / wavy hair. I had to explain (to her) how to blow dry my hair so I could get the most volume. I had to tell her how to curl the ends of my hair because she kept giving me these "curly sue" ringlets that looked TERRIBLE. Once I walked her through that she did a pretty good job teasing my hair (without direction) but once she teased it she she did not smooth out the top. My hair looked like a knotted volumized mess with a million fly always! I had to tell her to smooth out the hair because it didn't look good. *Sigh* I gave the salon 2 stars because the front desk receptionist was very kind and was insistent that I stay until I was satisfied with the final product / hairstyle. Needless to say, the final product was decent but I shouldn't have to coach my stylist practically the whole way through. For that kind of service, I will save my money and do it myself. Perhaps, if I went to another stylist I would have had a better experience. However, I lost faith in the salon seeing as how this was the stylist they recommended for my bridal trial run. read more

Highly recommend Paul. He was super nice and his haircuts/blowouts are phenomenal. This was my first visit to the Salon and I was very impressed by the cleanliness and how friendly everyone was. So naturally, being a boy, I'd usually stay away from salons and would rather go for a quick, easy shape up from a local barber. However, with hairstyles changing, I decided to grow out my hair and try out Nicholas Anthony. I was referenced from a friend to go and ask for Paul (one of the hairstylists who works there). I'm very particular with how I want my hair, so being completely honest I was nervous trying out a new place. Yet, while I was there, Paul did a FANTASTIC job styling my hair to exactly what I wanted. I even brought in a picture of the hairstyle I wanted, and Paul did an amazing job duplicating the same exact style that was shown, and recreating what I wanted, to it's exact form. So if you're in the area, and especially are a male looking for a trendy, new hairstyle, go to Nicholas Anthony. The people are extremely friendly, and they're very good at what they do.
