Service went out so we called on Monday. Monday evening 2 gentlemen came and fixed it right away. Come to find out 1 was the owner. WOW when have you ever had an owner come resolve a problem. People work hard for their money and I would hate to see them waste it on Zulu's horrible service. My experience with Zulu has been a nightmare. Their internet service is very slow and unreliable and costs way too much. They damaged my new roof when they installed the antennae and when they installed the antennae they forgot to ground it properly. I tried to settle this out of court yet they are avoiding me. Is there anyone else out there who have had similar experiences who wants to join me in filing claims? UPDATE... Zulu is making legal defaming and slanderous threats against their customers for posting negative reviews... "Per our last conversation Please take note that Zulu may be seeming Legal action for Defamation. Due to numerous slanderous reviews." Zulu damages new roofs and refuses to pay for the damages and if you criticize this they threaten you with legal action. WARNING My opinion below: If I knew what I know now, I would have never chose Zulu. I would instead have set up services through Wifiers who offers way fast & consistent speeds without installation costs for Zulu customers, no contracts, & much better customer service from what I have experienced.  Zulu failed to provide an accurate quote after requesting & receiving our address for aerial view to determine the correct cost. The quote was around $200 more than initially provided. They did not absorb the price difference for their mis-quote.  Instead they made conflicting excuses stating both that we were given the accurate quote from the beginning & later that it was increased because they were unaware of additional materials & work that needed to be done. Note that the extra materials & labor equaling around $200 was for two holes, 2 metal fence poles, & about a bag of concrete. I priced the materials at about $55 with tax online. We later noticed damages that occurred as well. We notified Zulu of them & was told that their field techs are not even direct employees rather independent contractors & that they would send them out to assess the damage. Upon visiting with the contractors to fix the damages... I told them that it was not a big deal & ok regarding not wanting anyone to be fired over it... Zulu stated that they never had the repairs done because I said I didn't want compensation even though I said that I did before, during, after, & until this very moment apparently... & that was the only purpose for their visit. Note that the tech even assured & told me that they'd have it taken care of as he was only a contractor yet still personally knew the owner of Zulu within 10 feet of my home recording system under the carport they left damaged to this day. I was told that I was secretly recorded by the contractor on my private property as well in which the Zulu rep tried to site only a portion of the conversation seen on video grossly out of context while failing to mention the other portion I mentioned above. ***Not once in all of the instances we have experienced with them have they ever assumed their responsibility.***  The tower was also left leaning after we had them reinstall services. At one point we tried going through Wifiers (who offers free installation to pre-existing Zulu customers having issues with Zulu) we received a pdf file on the Zulu portal showing a $350 cancelation fee so we had to go back because we were under a lengthy contract. Note* Wifiers has since provided us with photos to show no damages were caused by them. Zulu sent someone to fix it yet it was still left leaning because of the loose wires without clasp fasteners & I was told it would be $80 to have them come out again. I didn't feel like paying them to do something they left messed up twice already... & lost hope of competence in them once I found out how little they pay even their tech support employees after we received an offer from Drew for only $10 per hour 070920 while saying the applicant was over qualified as well. The national avg. is $16.08.. & then there was the former Zulu employee who stated his less than disdain view of the companies owner.   We were harassed by Zulu with threats of legal action for exercising our rights when notifying the public of our grievances after Zulu failed to do anything but make excuses for their own actions. We have been advised that this is harassment and unethical business practices on Zulus behalf & were instructed to contact legal council for compensation of damages, emotional distress, reimbursement of legal costs etc.. & to report their tactics to google review, notify the local chamber of commerce, rip off report, BBB, news outlets, Att generals office, Anti-slapp, CRFA, public participation act, FCC #5032172 FTC report #116198919, etc.& advised to notify them of any further retaliation. Good service if nothing else is available. WISPs are generally better than most Satellite services, hopefully Starlink and future competitors change that. Good idea to have a backup internet option ready at all times, support is first come first serve, sometimes very fast, sometimes could take days to get help at times, if they can't fix it they can and might drop you as a customer without notice. read more

Do not use this internet provider. U have had them for almoat 3 years in that time I have never missed a monthly payment. At the time of install I had to pay over $700 to have a pole put up, on that date the technician stated we needed guy wires, but that he could not install them. I would have to call the office, who said they would get me scheduled. Never heard anything back. Over the course of the 3 years anytime they came out or I had to call I asked about the guy wires again they would get me on the schedule and every time nothing. So in October they called in which they left a vm and also emailed me about their new promotion/upgrade. Better equipment better internet all for free if you sign a contract. So on Oct 3rd I call and tell them I will sign the contract but the tech needs to put in guy wires, the rep tells me oh I see youve asked for them and I will make sure it is noted. On oct 11 the tech shows up and says he can't do the upgrade without the guy wires oh and that it would be $50.00 per pole and I needed 2...hmmm so I call the office irritated but talk to Chasity get it all worked out the company will pay $50 I will pay $50. I told her I would call vack to get on the schedule. On 10/16 I call and tell them to get me on the scedule the guy says it will be in the next 2 weeks but would call me the day before. On 11/06 I had not heard from anyone either by phone or email so I called and spoke to Denimn whos swore they had been trying to call me to get me scheduled when I told her I do not have a missed call, vm or email from them she said she is the one who makes the calls and knows she called. So she tells me she can get me on the schedule for 11/07 and promised someone would call me. At 4:30 pm on 11/07 no tech had came by and no phone call received. By this point I am very irritated, I had rescheduled a drs appt and had been sitting at my house for this promised appointment. I called and talked to Denimn whom put me in hold the phone hung up so I called back. She then tells me it will be Friday at the earliest. Sp I proceed to tell them how completely ridiculous this is and how poorly they were treating me as a customer. Then Chasity got on the phone stated she was the office manager and that she did not appreciate how I was talking to her rep (mind you at no point did I use foul language) I once again told her that they were trating me the customer horribly and that I was sick of being screwed around by them. She stated that she personally tried to call me several times, so I asked for the dates she tried to call me so I could go thru my call log to that she said uts a courtesy call and she does not have the dates. She told me that I now have 30 days and would no longer have internet with Zulu. So I asked to speak to her boss, she stated that she was the boss and there was no one else for me to talk to. When I continued to press for her boss she then told me they are terminating my service for non payment. In which I replied the bill was not due until the next day 11/08 and that I have the email to prove it. She then hung up on me, so I started calling back after the 7th time of them hanging up on ke everytime I asked to speak to someone above Chasity I finally got to speak to Drew. He stated that he was her boss and that he assures me she never told me that she didnt have a boss. So I recapped everything for Drew who proceeded to tell me he just doesnt understand why I am so upset. After talking to him for several minutes and him continually telling me that I was being irrational we finally worked out that they would pay for both the poles and it would be done no later than Friday. He then threw in the condition that if they do this I am not going to call and complain agian. So I asked are you going to guarantee that his reps will start taking care of me as a customer and stop jacking me around. His reponse "that is irrelevant". So guess what I was pissed again. Handed the phone to my husband told him to deal w it. He and drew talked for several mins started getting things worked out, then Drew told him wait I see you are on the lowest plan we offer. In which my husband replied yes that is what we can afford at this time. Drew stated the only way he will do the upgrade now is if we purchase a more expensive plan and put the contract in his name because his wife is just to irrational to deal with. Needless to say we don't have Zulu internet anymore. This place is one of the most horrible businesses I habe eber dealt with.
