I *tried* to use C&S plumbing...I really did. But some attitudes, behaviors and comments just render a company not worthy of business, and unfortunately this was the case for C&S. I called on a Friday afternoon, and didn't expect an immediate appointment, but did leave a message and explained the problem and asked for a call-back. Monday afternoon, when I still hadn't gotten one, I called again and was treated rather rudely by the woman who answered the phone. Evidently, they see renters as a sub-class of humanity, because even though my out-of-state landlady said they'd done work for her before, they claimed not to have a record of it...and they don't deal with renters. Geez, seriously? I'm a cash-in-hand customer with a sewage spilling problem in my yard--obviously not a frivolous or cosmetic repair--and this woman doesn't want to deal with me?? Forget that she didn't call back if you want to...forget that she claimed not to have had my landlady for a client before...this was like a Jim Crow era attempt to sit at the lunch counter. She doesn't *deal* with renters. Wow. So I'm not unhappy that the company she represents won't be getting hundreds of dollars from me, I'm really not. I can't imagine paying someone like that for service. read more
