When approached, they dismissed the issue by claiming our fence was "rotten" -- an assertion both inaccurate (it was merely discolored) and needlessly discourteous. Their conduct, further evidenced on our doorbell camera, was not only lacking in professionalism but descended into puerile theatrics. A reputable company should exemplify integrity and respect; Raulston and Son's instead chose derision and incivility. The fence may have been fixed, but the impression left was one of arrogance and a profound breach of professional standards.

We recently contracted with Lowry Tree Service of Paris, Texas, to remove a medium sized cedar tree…read moreand a bush that had grown into the cyclone fence, and to take down a metal storage building on the property. The owner said that other than grinding the tree stump, they had the capability to do both jobs. We never expected the problems that ensued. They had several equipment malfunctions, which kept delaying completion of the jobs. They started last Wednesday, and just finished today, a week and a day later. Perhaps that would have been ok, but the job they did on taking down the building was not to our satisfaction. After telling us they would grind down the sharp metal posts (and one of the delays was because the grinder was not available that day), they refused to do so, instead, pounding down the "sharp edges" with a hammer, and saying they never intended to grind them down. There are still pieces of metal sticking up about 3/4 inch above the concrete slab. When we complained to the owner of the company, the supervisor who was here at the time, became angry (although he said he was not angry, his body language and tone said otherwise) and the owner didn't seem to care. His only response was that they were very busy and I suppose had to "work us in". If we had known that, we could have contracted with someone who did have the time to do the job and do it right. After the crew left, we went to sweep up the dirt and pick up the trash which they left there, and noticed bolts left in the frame. We've dealt with many contractors, and they always insist on cleaning up their mess. Not this company. This company obviously takes no pride in their work, and feels no responsibility to satisfy the customer.
