We tried this place at the recommendation of a driver we had in the city. He said it was the best bagel, and I tend to agree! They have lots of variety of bagels that are big and light and fluffy, but very tasty! Today I tried the egg bacon and cheddar sandwich with everything bagel. It was delicious! I will say they are quite pricey. My one sandwich was $11. If you come here just know that the lines tend to be long, but there is an option to order online and just come in to pick it up. When I arrived today, the line was to the front door however it moved quickly and I ordered in no time. Also, as a note the space is tight ...there's lots of small tables and some bar seating. I stop by this Zuckers almost every time I'm in the area! I enjoy it as a bagel spot. Lines and seating tend to be a bit crowded and the bagels are somewhat pricey for what they are. I recently got the truffled egg on a garlic bagel--it was SO good! The bacon egg and cheese was also good, but a bit on the pricier side and didn't blow me away, I'll probably stick to the more fun combos rather than the classics here. The latte was good as well! I love a seasonal flavor so that was pretty exciting for me. All in all, this spot is reliable albeit a bit pricey, but it absolutely has me coming back. Solid bagel near Bryant Park and the library. I was in the area and needed something quick (before a Broadway matinee, to be exact.) I was in the mood for a bagel at lunchtime and Zucker's delivered. It took more time than I thought to get my food and I devoured it standing up. They have lots of seating, including bar seating near the window so you can people-watch. Picking up your order after you order can be confusing--they give you a paper and then check your paper. I don't think they handled the lunchtime crowd that well. This spot was within walking distance of our hotel and across the street from Bryant Park. There are signs all over telling you how to order and where to line up. You also have the option to order ahead. You get in the ordering line, tell them your order and they give you an order slip to pay at the register. A bacon , egg , cheese is going to set you back about $10 here but again it's manhattan. I'm not even sure of the going rate in other places. They also had some specials advertised out front. They have tables inside but there is also plenty of seating in the park so take advantage of that on a nice day. Shout out to Shappel (sp?) who was working the check out both times we stopped in. Seating was limited and very tight. Tables were dirty and no one went around to clean anything the whole time we were there. I had my own wet wipes to sanitize our space. Food took a while to prepare. The Traditional comes with their Nova Scotia salmon, plain cream cheese, beefsteak tomatoes, red onions, and capers. Sounds like a basic lox to me. I panic ordered and didn't get to try the lox at Zuckers but this still was still ridiculously tasty - this warm thick bagel sandwich cured like all my ailments (it was a sunday morning, there were many) - sausage egg and cheese sub....HONEY JALAPENO CREAM CHEESE. the most delicious flavor, thoroughly impressed. Creamy cool with a little kick and a slight sweetness. it was not super honey forward, just added a contrast to the salty meal. I was sent this from my cousin and I really enjoyed it. The bagels are huge!! I received 7 Everythibg and 2 Sesame bagels. They were really good. I did as advised in the directions and sliced them. Then, I put them back in the bag and put them in the freezer. They will last 3 months. The cream cheese is phenomenal!! Inreceived (2) 1/4 pound containers of chive cream cheese and (1) 1/4 pound of plain cream cheese. I really wish this was sold where I live because they are so good! The nova lox was good too. This is something I like in general, but I am not a Fanatics. The lox was fresh. It tasted good and as it should. It had the right salt level. The Everything spice mix is amazing. I arrived in NYC after 12 hours of planes-trains-and-automobiles from the West Coast after the first snowstorm shut down of the year and was craving a bagel for breakfast. Zucker's did not disappoint! I ordered THE ALTON BROWN Smoked Trout, Plain Cream Cheese, Avocado Horseradish, Tobiko (yes, tobiko) on Pumpernickel and it was just the perfect welcome back to New York. The bagel was fresh and the smoked trout paired with the other handcrafted ingredients was just amazing. The interior of Zuckers was modern edgy but there were no lines mid-morning and my online order was ready and waiting. I was efficiently served with a welcome and professional smile. I downloaded the app so that I could order the baker's dozen combo for my teammates in the office--the process was painless and the bagels are DELICIOUS. I ordered the afternoon before for pick up the next morning and the bagels were so warm and yummy, top 10 bagels I've ever had, plus on the company credit card--free is ALWAYS good. At 8am it's nice and empty and the staff are ready to serve with smiles. We had to try Zucker's bagels and Smoked Fish in NYC!! Classy place to experience the New York hustle and bustle! My husband and I basically had the same bagel with exception of the spread! I was dying to try the tofu spread! I had scallion tofu spread which had so many more scallions than my husband's and he liked mine better than his cream cheese spread!! A solid bagel spot near Bryant Park that actually provides a clean and spacious interior for dining patrons that may want to get away from the congestion around the park. The quality of bagels is very consistent with the other Zucker's franchise locations around the city. I've tried them almost daily and it's hit or miss here. You might get charged more than what is advertised. You may or may not get to add options to the specials. The food may or may not be fresh. My favorites so far was the roast beef sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, and even the ham and Swiss. Not pictured but delicious is a toast bialy with light butter. However the butter still seeps out, so get napkins ready. They are often busy, so you get pressured to rush ordering and over paying. The pick up part is dicey too-- since they may have misspelled your name and you may not recognize when it's time to get it. Some times I got a pickle that tastes like soap with coleslaw that is soggy or crispy. Sometimes they forgot the coleslaw and pickle. They bag everything to go in a paper bag and staple it so it's hard to verify your order. The bread may not match either what you selected. They don't give you napkins or a fork either, so be sure to grab some on your way out. Also awkward is the door, people are frequently leaving and think you are holding the door for them when you want to go in. The tables and seats are usually dirty. read more

The flow of this place is a little disorganized. If you need to order there, you get into the line on the left and someone writes your order on a paper. From there, you end up in an area mixed with people who need to pay and people who are waiting to pick up. The cashier continuously yell out for people who need to pay. Once you pay, you blend back in with the crowd and wait to pick up your order. One thing I love about getting a bagel in NY is that they are usually generous with the schmear (cream cheese). This is not one of those places. You are not getting very much cream cheese as it's more like a light layer you would do if you were using a little butter. The flavor of the bagel and vegetable cream cheese I ordered was good, but like I said, it lacked cream cheese. There are plenty of other bagel places, so I recommend going somewhere else. read more

I got the wheat everything bagel with cream cheese and my husband got the BEC bagel. Overall the bagel was good, cream cheese was great. My only complaint was the bagel was not toasted at all. I have to agree with the other comments, customer service is rushed... they will pressure you to pick something quick, the downfall to that is the menu consist of screens that change ever 5seconds so it's kind of hard to read all the ingredients on the bagel and make a decision. A solid place to grab a bagel if you're near Bryant Park. I wanted to try their trout, since they pride themselves in their smoked fish. It was quite delicious! Smoky, flavorful, and salty. I did see online that they were topped with a sauce which I was looking forward to but was surprised that they came to us completely dry. I ended up smearing some of my extra scallion cream cheese from my everything bagel to make it a little less dry and add to the flavor. I wish they had been a little bit hotter too but in all fairness, we did delay our first bites by maybe 10 minutes from our walk back to the hotel and to grab a coffee some place else. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and some of the best I've had! Staff was sort of straight to the point, no one smiled. They were busy and just moving folks along was their main focus.
