I've been going to Zorbas for years now and they have been a stable Mable restaurant in my opinion. I like them! Super nice people, very convenient, I like the drive through aspect. Pitas are always soft and the tzatziki is flavorful. As an added bonus they are now on door dash, AND they have fries!! The fries were actually really good, hot, crispy, and fresh. read more

This used to be my favorite Greek place but they just raised their prices again. Last week I paid $14 for a Greek salad and lamb. Today it's $17! $13 for the salad and $4 for lamb. Their sign outside doesn't reflect their new prices. The girl at the window just showed me a new takeout menu with the prices scratched out and new prices listed. Pretty much everything went up by at least a dollar or two. This place was a really good deal, but now I'm hesitant to recommend this place at these prices. I also think that's shady that they are charging higher prices before they even update their board outside. read more

Doesn't look like much, but for a little hole in the wall drive-thru the Gyro is great! It's hard to find a great gyro in Anchorage, but Zorba's figured it out! This place is drive up only, no inside dining or seating areas. Lamb and chicken gyros are their specialty, and their tzatziki sauce is fantastic. Combo with chips and drink is only $9 and only a gyro is $7. Great deal. My only downside is they don't have fries. Other than that it was great. Will come back again! read more

After wrestling practice my 14 year old son was hungry for a gyro. We haven't had any in Anchorage before and I checked Yelp reviews and headed for Meraki. They were closed so on to plan b Zorba's. We ordered 2 lamb gyros for my wife and I, my son had the western gyro. We shared a slice of baklava for dessert. I give the gyro a 3/5, the baklava 2/5, and the service 5/5. I was impressed with the service. They were polite, took time preparing the food with care. My wife and son would score the gyros higher, but I'm the one writing this review. I was just completely stoked about trying this place out based on the reviews. If anything has Gyro in it, i'm down. My experience: It was easy to find thanks to a yelper who so meticulously placed their location :D I actually only waited about ten minutes for a car in front of me, and it appeared they had at least seven orders. So amazing time on the fly for that many orders and me only waiting maybe that ten minutes (was probably less as i was drooling just smelling the aroma and just waiting for my highly anticipated Gyro!) I ordered the Lamb Gyro with chips and soda. They do have coke products so you pepsi drinkers I am so so truely sorry, i got a dr. pepper and did not betray my poor pepsi. The gyro comes with tomato and onion (i was asked if i wanted these items, of course!) I also asked for extra sauce. This thing was phenomenal, I savored every bite of its juicy, amazing, flavorful sauce and soft soft bread. I cannot wait to come back here. I was just told that they have falafel Fridays and its fantastic, i've never had falafel but i want to try it, especially since it is from there...so next Friday it may be on....I will for sure update my review. I swung by here for a quick bite to eat after work. Zorba's Gyros is a drive-thru food stand located on Blueberry Rd. right behind the Wells Fargo building on C St. and Northern Lights. The lady that runs the stand is very friendly and loves to make you laugh with jokes and puns. I ordered the Western Gyro (lamb, grilled onions, grilled peppers, and Swiss cheese served on pita bread with tzatziki sauce) and two lamb gyros (lamb, onions, and tomatoes with tzatziki sauce) for my co-workers riding with me. The wait only took a few minutes. While I was waiting, the lady was nice enough to give us a sample of the tzatziki sauce that a lot of customers have been raving about. She suggested trying them with the bag of chips that came with the gyros. I balked at first, since I had a bag of Cheetos, but once I tried that sauce my doubts soon dissolved. It was absolutely delicious. The Western Gyro was flavorful with plenty of tender lamb and the tzatziki complementing the Swiss cheese perfectly. My co-workers loved their gyros and finished them off in a few minutes. We all became fans of this place not just for the food, but for the friendliness of the lady serving us. She exhibited an earnest and sincere attitude with a side of humor that is very rare to see in customer service these days. All of us were definitely coming back for lunch to try some of the other menu items. Other notable selections include the Buffalo Chicken Gyros (spicy chicken, onions, and tomatoes with tzatziki), the Zorba Philly Cheesesteak (provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and black olives), Falafel (garbanzo fritters, lettuce, tomatoes, red cabbage, pickles topped with tzatziki sauce...this dish is only served on Fridays), and Louisiana Hot Links (with grilled onions and choice of a hot dog bun or pita bread). I really wanted to love Zorba's. But truly the food was questionable. I would have given 2 stars for the food were it not for the awesome cashier. I didn't get sick or anything like that, but the food was exactly like the cafeteria gyro at Providence. They're using the same frozen, pre-portioned gyro meat. I think that's unacceptable for a place that specializes in gyros. The food was absolutely forgettable. There tzatziki sauce is a must-have~ light, refreshing, and goes well with whatever you're having on the menu. Lady recommmended the lamb gyros, which were great. I have always heard very good things about this place but have never had the pleasure of eating their food. I have now tried their authentic lamb gyro and their chicken gyro, both with the works; tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce. I'm always in for a good gyro and they did not disappoint. I also had the pleasure of having a good laugh and getting great advice from the two owners who have been married for over 40 years. The gentleman asked me if I knew what it took to have a marriage last 40 years... He answered with, "Yes dear."
