The lamb was cooked on skewers which are then removed before serving leaving two perfect pooh-shaped sausages on the plate. And very tasty it was too despite the slightly off-putting appearance. The salad was very nice and a generous portion too. I just about managed to finish my meal (washed down with a glass of tango) despite the flatbreads almost having filled me up. The bill arrived along with a small, but greatly appreciated, cube of turkish delight. Service and ambiance was excellent, I look forward to returning and trying something a little less pooh-shaped.

A beautifully-designed restaurant in non-fussy but distinctly Turkish style, the piece-de-resistance has to be the open grill and original Turkish oven, where you can see your food being freshly prepared and cooked before you. Watching them kneading and preparing the bread mixture is rather hypnotic, you need to be careful you don't lose track of time. The menu is simple with a good range of choices for starter, main and dessert. The wine list is, again, simple but offers good choices - nothing too classy, just good-priced clean-tasting wines which will complement your chosen dishes perfectly. I don't think you will find fault with any dish that you choose - but if you haven't tried it before, try one of their guvec (Turkish stew) dishes. Ahhhh yummy!! I mentioned, at the time of booking online, of this fact. Huseyin was his usual perfect host with the traditional hand spray before anything. He restricted bookings to 4 tables a night to follow coronavirus precautions. We wondered how they had coped during this pandemic but, as he said, they did take-away as soon as it was allowed. Great find!…read more Everything was fresh / cooked to order. We enjoyed Hummus, Kisir and Cacik as appetizers. For our main, we had Chicken Shish, Adana Kofte and Grilled King Prawns. Although entree portions were large, we managed to split a Sutlac for dessert. Very tasty. I would definitely recommended as both the service and general experience were incredible. We got to meet and spend a little time with the owners - which was a memorable touch.
