Lazeza - Chicken shish with salad and chips

Lazeza is quite a nicely done out restaurant in Harrow's town centre. They have a lunch deal where…read moreany pasta is £6.50 and any pizza is £5.50. Not bad, especially considering some of the pasta dishes have a dinner time value of over £10 (a little steep, in fact). Portions are generous and the food is pretty decent. I enjoyed not only not being judged for having parmesan with seafood pasta (I haven't forgotten, Jamie's Italian woman), but actually being offered it. However, I kind of did that thing where you stare blankly at the waiter grating it until you realise he's not going to stop until you say so, therefore you end up with a Cheese Mountain. That's ok though, I love cheese. The pizza looked good and was enjoyed by my friend, our other lunchmate had a caeser salad which came with a big pile of chicken that she really enjoyed. What I liked about the menu is that although it's doing the standard pizza/pasta Italian fare, there were actually some fairly original pasta sauces. While it's not mind blowing it's a very nice place for lunch in Harrow.

Nice little place in harrow, great spot for lunch and dinner. Simple setting inside, large tables,…read morenice service, bit slow getting the bill to you when you only have an hour for lunch. The food portions are huge, although the chicken shish I had was rather bland, the salad was ok, nothing special, too many garden leaves. The chips were ok, for the price of £10.50 definitely not worth it! I think next time round i will try something else, the breaded mushrooms were my favourite.

Turkish food, OM NOM NOM!…read more Went here on a Sunday, at around abouts 3pm. It was darn quiet, but then again it was around 3pm, normally they get busy at about 6pm. But this considering the waiters were very very friendly. The food was really good, we had a Cold Meze and a Hot Meze as a starter, both were amazing! I had the Mix Sis, it was really nice, it tasted so amazing! This is a really good place, I will be here again for my next Turkish experience!

A friend and I meet for dinner every 6 weeks or so and our latest meal was here…read more The waitress appeared to be highly disapproving of our inability to pronounce the dishes correctly and I'm afraid it went down hill from there. My falafel (starter) was probably the worst I have had and the initial taste was that of fish. I can only assume it had been cooked in the same oil as my friends calamari had been. He was unimpressed with his starter as well - greasy and over cooked were his comments. The mains well I went for the lamb shish whilst my friend opted for a sort of lamb casserole. Well the lamb I received was dry, full of gristle and tasteless. This was served with some salad and overcooked rice. My friend, I think got one small piece of lamb in his casserole as well as the same over cooked rice. After this we decided to give desserts a miss and went for coffee for myself and a mint tea for my friend. My coffee was hot but not tasting of very much whereas my friend's mint tea was a tall glass beaker of hot water with about five or six small mint leaves three of which had black patches. Frankly this was not worth the £40+ bill and we did consider refusing to pay the full price - as is our legal right. However we decided simply not to leave a tip and vowed not to return.

Despite the Greek sounding name, looking at the menu, I'm wondering if it's actually a Turkish…read moreplace. Greek-Turkish Frenemies?! The 15 inch pizza was more like a 14.5 inch pizza (yes I always keep a tape measure on hand when ordering pizza to call out all the pizza dimension shenanigans of there), anyway I guess I can let it slide. My wife liked it a lot and wants to order from here again. I thought it was just basic ok. One of the cheaper ones I could find and they don't charge anything for delivery. The sour cream and garlic sauces didn't taste great and I threw most of it out. At least I didn't have to pay extra for the sauces. Matt G, reviewing a pizza place and not adding a joke/pun about pizza? Never mind, it's too cheesy anyway.

When we arrived to the restaurant, we immediately felt that there were major discrepancies in price…read morebetween the menu available on the website and the menus on the table - often a £2 or £3 difference in individual items. The hospitality was cold and unwelcoming, they seemed indifferent to their customers. The meal was served within an appropriate time, however the food itself really wasn't worth the price. The worst part was waiting for the bill for half an hour whilst the serving staff tended to their own dinners in the restaurant. The bill itself was not broken drown by item and given to us as a total amount, and the overweight owner sat back to his dinner with his back to us so that he didn't have to attend to us. We persisted and asked for a bill that showed us a breakdown, and got angry as they thought we were questioning their prices. He threw our credit card very rudely on the table. When we did eventually receive the itemised bill, we were charged for "inclusive" salads that were meant to be included with the meals. We were also pretty miffed to find that he'd added compulsory £5 service charge which was not stated anywhere on the menu, internet site or at the restaurant. It should not have been more than £43 and we were charged £53. It was my husband's birthday, but it was unprofessional, rude, and thoroughly dissatisfying. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
